We went to Greece a few years ago and were amazed by the authentic gyros. Now we are always in search of the perfect gyro. We have tried multiple around the Denver area. On a whim (we were picking up wood off craigslist in the area - coming all the way from Boulder) and we stopped by via drive thru. We both got the Original Gyro (no fries or drink) it was the 2 sandwiches for $11. They were so good. So good. And they included the fries inside - as they should! That is how they are in Athens! We were impressed by the grilled pita, fresh cucumber dressing - tzatiki, the right amount of onion and tomato, and perfectly thinly sliced meat. When we walked in there was no one in like but the lady at the counTer said that there was a large order so she couldn't take our order quite yet. We sat down and waited for 15 min. When she took our order I had to repeat it 4 times. When we got the order it was wrong. Instead of making it right I had to pay extra for the right order. The beef gyro tasted like it was boiled. Some of the meat was still pink. It tasted gamey. The chicken nuggets were cold. I'm not sure if they had new cook but I left paying 37$ to go home and have a stomach ache. read more

The last gyro I had was at this place in San Jose and it was super salty and greasy. These gyros were not like that. They tasted perfect and came with a side of fries if you get the combo. It wasn't too salty or greasy. The cashier girl here was super cool. My friends and I were fighting over who'd pay and she had us rock paper scissors it to decide. The ambience is a total meh but the food delivers. They have baklava and honey yogurt too as dessert options. They have a drive-thru as well so it's super convenient. read more

The food is pretty solid. The fries come out nice and hot and the gyro sandwhich is great. The meat is flavorful and they put fries in it which is a pretty cool addition to it. However the only issue I have with this place is that it's kind of a pain to get into and there's limited parking. So it's kinda in a bad location. read more

Where to eat on the fly in Aurora?! I know, come to Gyroz! Who knew there was a Greek drive thru anywhere in the world, let alone Aurora? I work in Aurora quite often and sometimes have the opportunity to get out for lunch. When I do, Gyroz is one of the first places I think about. Drive thru is available so I can get in and get out quickly. The gyro is fresh and piping hot, served with tomato's, onions, tzatziki, and a side of fries that have a secret seasoning on top that are addicting. I'm pretty sure it's a garlic salt base - simple and delicious. In addition to all of this, it's super cheap. This is much better then the classic fast food burger chains around. I continue to come here for several reasons!! The fries are crispy, always to order, and the seasoning they put them on is great!! The Gyro is amazing and the pita toasted. Baklava is served warm and out-of-this-world!!! Bright and clean dining area, good music and usually something good on their TV The bathrooms are always kept clean and I love that they have a purse rack in there. So let me get this straight: There's a place that will make the hottest, freshest, most tasty Gyro I've ever had for $5 and they'll do it in Drive-Thru fashion? Yeah, sign me up. I'm so happy I had the foresight to order two Gyros (one for right then and one for late night after hitting the town), and I'm probably going to make that my standard order from now on. I've been to places that give you more meat and maybe a bigger Gyro itself, but not for $5. The lamb/beef slices were so good, they were even tasty cold. The Tzatziki sauce was solid and didn't overpower the sandwich, which it can do sometimes. The pita bread was awesome and they didn't overdo the onion component of the sandwich, so bonus points for that. Definitely recommended! read more

Used to really like this place because it was affordable. Wanted to stop back in and had a couple gyros which are delicious, but taziki is not included. (It was the last time i was there, now75 cents ea.) Well though the gyro is still tasty, I found a hair on my plate and seen the lady behind the counter smoke directly in front of the restaurant then come back, not wash her hands and start handing people plates. I tired Gyroz for the first time tonight and was so impressed. The food was delicious! Although the menu isn't huge, I felt that they still had a good selection. My husband ordered the gyros meal with fries and I ordered the chicken meal with a side salad. They were super accommodating and even noticed that I had ordered no tomatoes on my sandwich, and asked if I wanted the same for my salad. The fries were awesome and were seasoned perfectly. I visited here awhile ago and now that I'm back in Denver, I wanted to go back. I remembered it being utterly delicious. This time it was alright. I went through the drive thru. It took about 5 minutes. There was only 1 other customer inside. The employee wasn't rude or nice just blah. Very uninterested. The pita on the gyro sandwich was pretty chewy and there wasn't enough sauce. At all, it's like there was nothing there. I like the fries in there. There was great flavor in the meat and a good amount which was great. It's weird that my salad doesn't come with dressing. I had some greek at home and it was a super delicious salad. The hummus was good, and a pretty good size. It should definitely come with more pita though. I did go at like 9:30 pm but that shouldn't matter. I will try again though soon read more

We decided to try this place based on the yelp reviews and I am glad we did. The gyro was delicious and perfectly proportioned with the ingredients. The French fries are crispy and fresh. AMAZING. The best falafel I've ever had. I got the combo, so it came with fries and a drink - $7.29 including tax. I always get falafel without the tzatziki sauce, which normally results in a very dry falafel. However, no dryness here. I normally find myself using mustard so that the falafel isn't so dry but it absolutely wasn't necessary here. It also comes with tomatoes and onions. Not a fan of raw onions so I didn't get those. The fries were awesome also. They were seasoned perfectly, some sort of garlic salt mix. But not too heavily garlicked because sometimes I feel like I'll taste garlic for the rest of the day but that wasn't the case here. I got a free baklava for checking in. Not the best baklava I've ever had, it was too cinnamony. But it was free so no complaints here. Customer service was great too. I did drive-through (another awesome perk) and it took probably about 3 minutes total. All in all, I was very pleasantly surprised. The exterior and location are very unassuming but this place is definitely a gem. read more

Still I continued to eat there but the prices went up over the 4th of July that's where I draw the line. I ate here one night only because it was right next door to the hotel I was staying at. It had really good reviews, too so I figured "why not?". The reviews were right about the gyro meat. It really is GOOD. I think it's a little weird that they put fries IN the gyro though...am I the only one that this has happened to? I wasn't sure if it was a mistake or meant to be that way. The menu is very small and focuses on just a few Greek sandwiches with just a few Greek sides (and fries!) What they do is done to perfection. The pitas are lightly toasted for just enough crispiness while maintaining a beautifully soft interior. The gyro meat is tender and seasoned to perfection. I ordered gyros, and salad to go. When I got home I was pleasantly surprised. The order was correct and the food was great. They serve their sandwiches with the fries inside, I'll have to try it next time. I am very particular when it comes to gyros. Theirs is perfect. Great ratio of meat, veggies and sauce.
