Super friendly guys and helpful throughout the entire process. My biggest fear in buying a used car is a pushy salesman but the H&C guys were transparent, calm, and overall easy to work with (and really funny too)! I had a limited budget and needed a car ASAP... they let me test drive whatever I wanted and even recommended some of their less expensive cars that would better suit my needs rather than push for a bigger sale. Is it possible to give no stars? These people push GWC warranties hard. Stay away from GWC and stay even further away from H&C Auto. My Tahoe died on the road leaving my wife stranded- apparently some assclown messed with the engine at some point in the past (before we owned it) and "debris" destroyed my engine. GWC refused to honor the warranty and this is on H&C for being assclowns and pushing that worthless warranty. Buyers beware. Dealership buys wrecked cars and halfway fixes them and resales. Also they don't tell you that the title has "actual mileage unknown" which kills the value, I blame myself for not asking, but I shouldn't have to. Bought a car from H&C for my granddaughter several months ago and have had constant issues with it. From the start with TPMS light being on when I test drove. Didn't think much of it because was thinking a tire air pressure was low but the TPMS sensors had been removed from all four tires. Tires needed to be replaced anyway even though they would have never passed inspection if they were on car when inspected and car had new inspection on it. So, I have my suspicions of why no sensors and worn-out tires but can't prove it. This car was advertised as having recent engine work that would have been required in near future. apparently, the mechanic that did the work wasn't very good because very important electrical connections were not locked in place correctly causing multiple issues including the transmission control electronics failing. So, they great price I thought I was getting was in fact too good to be true! Lucky for me I have the ability to fix the issues myself, if I had not this vehicle would have been a money pit. read more

Have bought 3 cars from here within the immediate family. Service was really good and paperwork was very quick. I'm sure it helped that we paid in cash. Cars have been great without any issues. Had a very similar experience to Jen N and Tammy S. Came down to test drive two cars. One sold day before, and other had suspension issues after driving two hours to check it out. Said they would put it in shop to determine if they could spot the issue. Was told could take to our mechanic of choice when done. Then told no, could only have local mechanic look at it. So arranged for local mechanic appointment and Tyler to call when they had looked at it. Never called and found taken off of website (meaning when they spoke with me it appears car was already sold). 100% would not recommend. Bought a Jeep and have had nothing but problems since we bought it. Has off on my wife with our 2 year old daughter in it multiple times in the middle of the road. Sells lemons. Will never buy from here again. Sad sad dealership to rip people off like that. read more

Don't waste your honesty or time on such a dishonest and unprofessional lot. Elliott is no manager! He needs to learn how to do what is right because it is right not because there is a sale behind of it. 2 1/2 hour drive to test drive a vehicle he had on the lot after talking with him many times. He knew we were on our way to test drive and purchase! This did not stop this very unprofessional person with no conscious in selling the car directly out from under us. Yes, we had just pulled on the lot and he had allowed another couple too drive and yes - buy it and then continue to say he didn't know what to do! This was one of the worst experiences we have had. We called before we came and Tyler said come on down. When we got there he was nice but immediately told us how he was alone at the dealership and didn't know how to do anything. He let my husband test drive two cars without asking for a license and didn't put plates on. He had zero power to make a decision about anything. We decided to just get the car despite Tyler telling us what a bad job the detailed did which is why the seats were soaking wet. It was a Sunday so the bank was not open and we asked if we could use a card to pay. He said yes but when time came to pay he said he was " not allowed to use the credit card machine." Ok.... At that point other random remarks were made and my husband felt very off about the entire situation so we left. We drove almost 2 hours to get there and it was very much not worth it. Avoid this place like the plaque. The vehicle I got pre-inspected needed over $1,700 work ASAP. Plus, the transmission would need to be replaced in a couple months because 2 gears were slipping. That's way several thousand over what the car was worth. Be very careful! He wanted a copy of the workup but didn't want to contribute to any cost of the inspection. Talk about cheap and underhanded! If I could give a negative star review rating I would!!! Horrific experience with this dealership! Flat out shady people! My husband was in contact with the owner, Elliot, for over 2 weeks about a Jeep Patriot. We had planned to come down the first weekend of being in contact with Elliot, however upon calling the morning of Elliot informed us the vehicle was in the service shop for a wheel bearing and promised once it was back in we would be the first people to see it and he would hold it for us. So therefore we did not go down to the dealership that day. -Mind you we live 2 and a half hours away- We we're in constant contact with Elliot the following week and on Wednesday we called and he informed us the car was back from the mechanics, we informed him we would be down that Saturday to test drive it and more than likely purchase it. He said that that was okay and to just call again early Saturday morning to confirm. So we did just that and got the green light from Elliot to come down and informed him we would be there around noon and we would text him when we were 15 min out. So by the time we get closer we texted him. We arrive at the dealership at 12:50pm and do not see the Jeep on the lot. We think hmm, that's odd. Then here comes the Jeep being test driven by someone else. Talked to the salesman and informed him what was happening and he acted like he had no idea and basically too bad. Then we looked around for Elliot- no where in sight. Had a very kind gentleman mechanic reach out and ask us if we needed help and he called Elliot. He called Elliot and told him we were here and Elliot hung up on him. So the mechanic asks if we would like to go inside since it was so hot out- mind you the doors are all locked (just keep that in mind) . We go in and there's Elliot at his desk appearing to hide away from us, while watching the the security footage of us on the lot. We let him know what's going on and that we just drove up 2 hr 30 min to buy the car and it's being shown to someone else. He goes out and says "let me see what I can do". He comes back 5 min later and says well they're going to buy the car... excuse me? He proceeds to say how "sick to his stomach" he is bc he thought that it was us bc it was noon, if you're so sick to your stomach do something about it then my guy. However he said when he received our text that the people were already looking at the vehicle- so clearly you knew they weren't us and didn't care to do anything about it. And also he had our names and numbers- not sure how he couldn't verify if it was us, but ok. Then he wouldn't do anything to rectify the situation and we wasted our whole day for this shady dealership. He kept saying how he didn't know we were buying the car- yes you did we would have been up a week prior if it wasn't for you. Also he kept getting caught up on noon time- apparently 12:50pm doesn't constitute as noon? After going back and forth about how unfair this was, we just gave up. It was clear this wasn't getting anywhere .So instead of looking at other vehicles we have now wasted our day by driving 2 hrs 30 min away to a car that was promised to be ours. Absolutely ridiculous business practice . Extremely shady and dirty. So back to the cameras and the doors being locked- Elliot was hiding from us and hoping we would go away. Oh also! On the way out we were so frustrated about the events that occurred that we parked next to the dealership lot to cool off and hopefully search for other cars, and we saw the Jeep drive by and both tail lights were out. Long story short, do not go here and waste your time on these shady people! I guess it's a blessing in disguise bc that cars engine was rebuilt and clearly had more issues than what was conveyed to us. And now I have a much better car from CarMax, so thanks for being untrustworthy H and C Auto. read more
