HORRIBLE is the only way to describe this very overpriced bagel! Located in the JetBlue terminal you will find H & H Bagels. I ordered an everything bagel with butter, NOT TOASTED. Not only was it toasted but it was burnt. I figured how hard is it to mess up a bagel with butter?!? Unfortunately, i didn't read Yelp reviews before ordering. I was excited when I saw H & H Bagels here. I had been told how good they are. Wow, what a disappointment and big waste of money. The bagel was hard and tasted like it had been made days ago and toasted. Perhaps that's the reason I didn't get it the way I ordered it. Save your money, trust me it's not worth it!! Go right next to them and get a donut or muffin. You'll thank me!

Overpriced, but it is an airport, my toasted everything bagel with lox cream cheese was okay. Could have been toasted more. My better half's whole wheat everything bagel with eggs, cheddar and bacon was okay also. No real complaints other than the $31 price tag (which included two coffees).

This H&H Bagel is located in JetBlue Terminal 5 at JFK. I know they are not as good as other H&H bagel locations being at the airport, but I wanted one last bagel before flying out. They are located in the food court area after passing the TSA checkpoint. You order from a kiosk, and they'll call your name when your food is ready. I ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese ($10) on an Everything Bagel for my meal, and then another Everything Bagel ($2.29) with Scallion Cream Cheese ($6.50) for a snack on the plane for my boyfriend and me in a few hours. Such wisdom because that snack came in handy later on. The bagel was really hard, the bagel was near burnt, and the egg was sooooo dry. So sad. They are certainly not living up to the original H&H reputation. The everything bagel with scallion cream cheese had a lot of cream cheese. I like the flavor, but the scallions could have been cut up more finely.

The only good thing is that you get a lot of food for your money but it is not good. Expect your order to be wrong 50% of the time. Ordered plan bagel and received an everything bagel. Ordered extra toasted and got un-toasted. Order lettuce and got none. Ordered mayo, got none. Ordered jack cheese, got swiss. Staff needs eyeglasses and brains.

generous with the cream cheese, stingy with the smoked salmon, and they don't toast the bagels ordering from here more than once has gotta be a form of self harm

Scan the QR code to make an order instead of waiting in line

Convenient QR code ordering. Unfortunately there is a line so you don't even notice the code until you're almost up to the counter. I suggest sneaking by and snapping a pic of the code and order so you're not waiting in line for no reason. With that said, do not expect anything more than convenience of location. Bagels were not toasted, even though one person in our party noted extra toasted on her order. Bagels were not even cut in half. It tasted like someone walked into a grocery store, opened a bag of bagels and served it cold with cream cheese.

Be prepared for a wait! H&H Bagel is located in Terminal 5 within the JFK airport. It's in the food hall within the JetBlue terminal. My flight out of JFK was scheduled to depart at 6:45 A.M with boarding at 6:15 A.M. I had arrived at the food court hall around 5:00 A.M. The line was out the door for Dunkin Donuts so I decided to go to H&H Bagel. There was a line, but not as long as for Dunkin Donuts at 5:00 A.M in the morning. To place an order, you have to order from their self service kiosk. It's the only way to place a order at H&H Bagel. Once you place the order, you wait for your number to be called. I had placed the order at around 5:15 A.M, as it took approximately 15 minutes to wait to place the order at the self service kiosk. After placing the order, it took about 40 minutes as there were so many other people that had placed the order ahead. My order was just a egg, cheese, on a plain bagel. The price wasn't too bad, approximately $7.00, but the wait was a long time! I'd highly recommend if you're leaving in the morning, and it's busy, to avoid H&H bagel. The food was pretty decent though. The plain bagel was good, toasted perfectly, and blended well with the egg and cheese.

    Welcome to H&H

I was so looking forward to this bagel with cream cheese. Honestly, I am not a big food buyer at the airport but lately the places I have been were good, with the exception of H&H. The ordering system is done via kiosk. It's the only way to order. Happily there was someone to guide you as it was not the friendliest system and a small screen. It was simple... everything bagel with cream cheese, not toasted. But, since my wife's bagel was toasted they just figured they might as well do mine too. It wasn't that good. More like a freezer bagel you keep at home. I was disappointed. Again, I was very surprised... These days food has been unusually good at the airport especially since they now have a lot of highly recognizable restaurants. I will be back to the airport and I will continue to make some food purchases just not from H&H.

#5 avocado egg cheese on wheat everything... not really wheat and fake avocado
    Megan S.

Expensive, slow and just not good. In terminal 5 of JFK. Everywhere else had long lines.. I thought this would be faster.. very wrong. I waited almost 40 minutes. Only one lady there and was turning around 1 bagel sandwich every 5-7 minutes. I've never seen a human being move sooo slow. I got speciality #5. Avocado cheese and egg. To get whole wheat bagel instead of plain .. they charged $2 extra... so it ended up being $13. Expensive for simple egg breakfast sandwich... And when I got it... it just wasn't good. Bagel wasn't really wheat. It was dry. Eggs seem like they are just reheated. The worse was the avocado ... it's not real avocado ... it's the spread that's been frozen and thawed.. no texture, gross flavor... nothing like avocado. If I knew it wasn't real avocado .. I would have most gotten egg and cheese. Overall really do not recommend this place

Meh. Not very good. Convenient to grab before a flight but that's about it. Certainly doesn't seem in line with the other locations.

Wth is this mess? Two tops and a sloppy mess inside.
    Clari B.

What a hot mess of a bagel. There was about a pound of cheese and a sloppy mess of peppers. I did not taste the lox yet they charged an arm and a leg. They gave me two bagel tops which made eating an impossible mission. Overall the products sold here are overpriced mediocre airport food.

Plain toasted with butter. Note butter all over the bagel
    Richard A.

Nothing like a New York bagel. I got a plain , toasted with butter. The bagel was delicious, however the butter was all over the bagel. It also must of been next to an onion bagel, it had a little of that taste. The process for ordering and paying is a little confusing, but efficient

Located in Terminal 5 (where JetBlue dominates), this is your only option as you get through security and want a "sit down" breakfast in the AM hours. No matter which "restaurant" you sit in (deep blue, 5ive steak, probably others I can't think of), the breakfast food is all made in a central kitchen. Ordering: You order on your phone via QR code on the table and pay on the phone too. Prices: You won't be shocked by the prices. "It's New York" plus "it's an airport." Service: Non-existent. We had to ask for water repeatedly, when there were pitchers of it sitting out. If we had glasses, we'd have served ourselves. Would that even be legal though? Who knows. We eventually got water, but were never offered refills. Never checked on. Server had to confirm our order and asked to see the receipt, specifically about the chicken sausage order. Speaking of that.... Food: My whole grain toast had a hair in it. I ate it anyway and I think I picked the hair out. Who knows? The bread was actually pretty decent. Chicken sausage was also ordered. It was pretty disgusting. Somehow they manage to make a "healthy" item greasy. It also had weird discolored pieces of meat that I didn't eat. Drinks: You'll be offered high $ booze as soon as you scan the QR code. We opted for coffee and tea . Nikki said the coffee was typical diner stuff. My earl grey tea was ok. They serve "Rishi" brand. I didn't taste very much bergamot, if any. Was it even earl grey? I'll surely ponder this mystery on my death bed. In summary, "Piazza Breakfast" isn't worth it in any way. You'll be wasting valuable time on terrible food, with insulting inadequate service. I recommend exploring the terminal for other options, eating before you get to the airport, or sucking it up and buying a $6 for a small Chobani yogurt cup ($1-1.75 regularly priced) at the bodega place next to "deep blue." Happy travels.

That eliminates any possibility of miscommunication in the ordering process. Yet, somehow they screw up. Mistake 1: not including toast with eggs-any-style breakfast. Instead it comes with a biscuit. I'm sorry are we in Atlanta or NYC/ Mistake 2: making me pay $3 for toast as side order on top of a twenty-something-dollar ham and eggs. Mistake 3: not bringing the toast. The app seems to have a way to request a refund for the missing order, but I doubt it will work. Plus, there's an argument that when the missing piece is an integral part of the meal that you get more back than the cost of the "side." Eating eggs over easy without toast is like a cheeseburger without a bun. Finally, asking for a default 18% tip up-front in self-ordering restaurant is a bit much. Especially when you can't easily change it when the service stinks. Anyway. Had low expectations and they came in under them.

Despite these low expectations, I was very disappointed by the grilled chicken sandwich at H&H. This is the single blandest sandwich I've ever had in my life. Not a single ingredient was seasoned. No salt, no pepper, no sauce. The chicken wasn't seasoned. The avocado wasn't seasoned. The lettuce and tomatoes weren't seasoned (but that's to be expected). You can taste the slightest bit of flavor in the bun itself, I assume because it was mass produced and there was a bit of salt in the bread-baking process. Eating this sandwich made me understand why people in the old days fought wars over salt and spices. The chicken breast was also super overcooked, dry, and rubbery, but I suppose that's not far from expectations. I suspect the lettuce was unwashed because there were some grains of sand that gave it a very unpleasant crunch. The ordering process on the kiosk was quite smooth and service (i.e. making the sandwich) was decently fast. But as always, my rating is just for the food.

I'd like an explanation for this from Yelp, but in the meantime, here's the short version, as I can't even access the review I wrote. I had a ridiculously bad grab and go sandwich here, a D- even grading on an airport sandwich curve. It was a chicken avocado sandwich, supposedly composed of grilled chicken, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and chipotle aioli on whole grain bread. Camden Food Co. must have looked up the absolute minimum amount of avocado they could use and still name the ingredient on the packaging. The sandwich was made up of tasteless slices of chicken, a bit of lettuce and tomato, and not a single solid piece of avocado. The only discernible avocado was a thin green smear on the bread. It just looked like the bread had touched an avocado by accident. I paid $17.41 for this sandwich and resent every wasted penny. I'm a little embarrassed, just as an American, that travelers can get food this terrible at New York's main international airport.
