The store is so cute, we loved the decor although there was minimal seating. We tried three bagels. We really enjoyed the classic bacon, egg, and cheese and the sausage, egg, and cheese. The Reuben was also good, although a little dryer. Loved the creativity of these bagels, but I forgot to try the sauces. Also grabbed the special strawberry shortcake latte. The strawberry was subtle, but still a nice iced latte.

I'm actually devastated this chili crisp fried rice stuffed bagel isn't staying on the menu forever! Stuffed bagels are super common across Asia, but Moonrise Bagels might be one of the only spots in NYC doing savory stuffed bagels like this... which has sparked some debates among NY style bagel purists. I was EXTRA hyped because they teamed up with my favorite chili oil brand Fly By Jing for this AAPI collab. Their OG sichuan chili crisp and sweet & spicy are kitchen essentials for me. I panic when I'm running low. *Chili Crisp Fried Rice Stuffed Bagel $13 Such a carb-on-carb combo...very asian lol. It came with chili crisp aioli to dip in if you want extra umami. Since it's made with their new mild crunchy garlic chili crisp, the heat is actually pretty manageable. You most get the garlicky chili flavor. I was very impressed by the stuffed bagel texture. Crunchy outside and pillowy inside. It was also literally the size of my head. Will definitely come back to try other stuffed bagels.

Finally was in the area to try Moonrise Bagels and I definitely enjoyed every bite of it. The space is a bit small with minimal seating indoor and outdoor. The vibes inside were so fun! We were dancing while in line, waiting for our order, and when we were eating. I ordered the egg and cheese stuffed bagel with a dipping sauce on the side which is extra. The sauce complimented the bagel well and they gave a pretty good portion of it too. The bagel was pretty pricey; I think after tip I spent about $15. I love the idea of a stuffed bagel as it is unique and think it's something to say you've tried before. If you just want to pick up and go, I definitely suggest ordering for pickup. They also sell frozen bagels to reheat at home and beverages.

When in New York City, you have to get a bagel! But this bagel? Unique! Have you ever had a stuffed bagel before? Absolutely delightful! The shop was bright and clean, and we were welcomed as soon as we entered the shop. Our biggest problem was deciding what to order... Everything looked and smelled incredible! We ended up getting a bacon and an egg as well as a pastrami. They both came out really fast and were instantly devoured! If you're in NYC don't sleep on this place!

Came to dry a different type of bagel in NYC and was pleasantly surprised! Bagel was fresh, warm, filling was delicious! I tried the BEC but the pastrami looked insane! Service was quick and there was place to sit, coffee and drinks! Good vibes

Moonrise Bagels 58 W. 8th. St. New York, NY 10011 Viral Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Bagel This chain location has gone viral on social media because they sell bagels stuffed with a specific filling. On a positive note, the bagel was hot and doughy. It was served in a timely manner. But, I honestly was not impressed with the inside filling. Some of the buffalo chicken chunks weren't fully cooked and it tasted as if it was in the fridge. There was also an up charge for a dipping sauce, which is unfair because this bagel already costs $11. If you decide to explore this location, I would recommend placing the order to go because seating is limited to a ledge, 2 indoor tables and an outdoor table. While stuffed bagels are a unique concept, I feel it was highly priced and overrated. #moonrisebagels #stuffedbagels #buffalochickenstuffedbagel #viralstuffedbagels

I have no idea how they stuff the bagel but the bagel itself and the filling was perfect. And it's pretty hefty too. It's kind of hard to eat and is messy which is a minus. The spicy sauce wasn't my favorite. I got the egg and cheese. Eggs were fluffy and good cheese flavor. Service was so nice.

Got a bacon, egg and cheese bagel. I asked for no cheese but they said they were already made. They also asked me if I wanted seeds, so I went with Sesame. The bagel is massive, hot and fresh and was ready pretty quickly. Moonrise is extremely tiny and only has 2 small tables near the window. So I recommend taking your bagel to go. I'll definitely come back to try more of their bagels!

Such a cool concept! Hot fresh stuffed bagels !!! We got the last egg and cheese everything bagel and it was pipping hot and DELICIOUS! The Mooney sauce to dip it in was delish too. Very tangy and herby. Amazing vibes inside the place, great music and even greater staff. They were so kind and lovely. Not much seating just by the window and two small outdoor tables. 1000/10 would come again!

Delicious and such a unique concept. You come to NY and can find a great bagel on almost every block. This concept takes a tasty bagel to a whole different level. I love a bacon, egg, and cheese so that was my natural choice. It was piping hot when I got it, so took a few minutes to let it cool. But let me tell you, I almost burned my fingers because I was so anxious to take a bite! Once it cooled just enough, I dug right in. Every bite was so delicious from the filling to the bagel itself. It is pretty large so could be good to split if you aren't super hungry - but trust me once you take one bite, you won't want to share. I have already recommended this place to friends and will be back on my next trip to NYC!

Innovative concept for making a bagel. They stuffed the usual bagel sandwich ingredients inside the bagel. I got the egg and cheese kind. It came out fast and piping hot. I enjoyed dipping it in ranch and house dipping sauce. Service is great. The staff is very welcoming.

Ambiance (2/5): There were only 2 tables that can fit 2 each and then a standing sliver to stand against the wall for 3 people to stand. No bathroom. Service (5/5): The bagels came out extremely fast. Ran out of plastic knives to cut the bagels. Food (3/5): There was the novelty of having a stuffed bagel to give this place a try. I really enjoyed the bagel itself, which was dense, chewy, also soft. The downfall was the stuffing which was wildly unevenly stuffed. I got bites of just bacon, tiny bits of egg, then only egg, then nothing... For $11, you can definitely get a normal breakfast bagel with much more stuffing to make it worth. Fun to try though!

Moonrise Bagels W 8th - 9 Buck disappointing Eggplant Parm Bagel that's boring and not worth it

Read about Moonrise Bagels opening in December with their stuffed bagels. As a native New Yorker, weaned on echt Kosher bagels and Kossar's bialys, wanted to try it out on my next daytime trip downtown. Noted they closed early based on whether they were sold out, however arrived at around 10:30 but still had a short, slow line that extended outdoors - it's a small storefront with hardly any seating. Have to say, whatever hype they stirred attracted some obnoxious, IG/Tiktok obsessed, FOMO tourists that dissuade us locals and kills the pleasure of being a customer - however, I still persisted figuring at even at that off-hour the line would be the shortest. My overall reco is absolutely NOPE, not worth it... go elsewhere! Moonrise Bagels stuffed concoction is a bloated, overpriced gimmick that, if you consider yourself a foodie and/or value your money, won't find deliver anything worthwhile! My experience - Ordered the $12 Pastrami Reuben, $9 Cheese Pizza (red sauce, mozzarella, asiago, provolone, basil, oregano), and daily special $9 Eggplant Parm Stuffed Bagels. (Note - You can choose which type of bagel you want stuffed, e.g., Everything.) What you (like me) will notice first - being stuffed means there is not much room for the filling. In fact, the Pizza bagel was barely filled! (See pic - a real, rip-off!) While best of the three was the Reuben, it was nothing to write home about or post online (except to complain). The other two were just ridiculously priced. Considering that Pizza Stuffed Bagel cost so much, you'll have much more to enjoy with two slices at fantastic West Village pizzeria's like Joe's! My reco to Moonrise Bagels - Lower your prices in line with what you're giving your customers before further word gets out that your original product is out of synch with what your asking people to pay. Hard to believe that locals will repeat a visit given your competition. You may want to also have product available late at night when hungry drunk people are heading home from nearby bars and not paying attention to what they're putting on their credit card.

FOOD: We ordered a bag of 3 bagels-- everything, poppy seed & salt. The bagels were cute, medium sized and served warm/hot. We chose the scallion cream cheese which came in a lil container. Apparently the bagels are not made in the traditional manner, but they were still delicious with great texture and taste. We also ordered the tea (ok) and strawberry lemonade (yum). We enjoyed our bagels on the little countertop area outside. OVERALL: Definitely recommend! A different bagel experience than some other places (as in, those places where you are served bagels topped with cream cheese and other things) but we enjoyed the simplicity of the bagels and controlling the amount of cream cheese.

You cannot order a single bagel, you must order your bagels in 3s. So if you're not a big back and instead are a loser with no friends, you might have more bagels than you can eat. The bagels come whole and you're supposed to rip them and dip them into the cream cheese, and there's many smears to choose from, which is a plus. However, this requires a two hand situation, which means it's difficult to eat on the go, and the seating inside is limited. I did not realize this at first and I was trying to slice my bagel in half with a butter knife, and I failed and started ripping it to shreds in a fit of passion and rage. That when I saw their neon sign that says "GRIP. RIP. DIP," which sounds sexual, and realized that's the concept and intention. My advice--if you're gonna visit, come with a couple friends so you can try the bagels without having to eat 3. And bring hand sanitizer so you're not ripping up the bagel with your filthy subway fingers.
