Food was good. $19 including taxes for the vegetable hummus sandwich, which came with some tortilla chips. Service was OK. My biggest complaint is that this is an airport. People are coming and going very quickly and three of the staff members were just standing around shooting the sh**. Not grabbing anyone's food when three of us were standing around waiting for our tablet orders. I eventually went up to the counter to ask that my sandwich to be expedited because I need to go catch my flight and slowly, but surely she grabbed it out of the showcase warmed it up and handed it to me. In summary if you're actually taking the time to read a review at the airport if you're needing to move quickly, I would not recommend ordering from them. read more

Wow... lot's of hate for this cafe at JFK. I ordered a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich from the kiosk and then got a coffee from the front counter before I left. You can order from either and it cut's down on the wait if you go to one of the screens. While the prices were insane, we are in an airport so it's somewhat expected (but still not appreciated). We spent almost $50 on breakfast sandwiches and coffee. It did take a while for the sandwich, but I will say that it was really good. It was also huge which isn't what I'm normally looking for at breakfast time but I was about to board a 6hr flight. Honestly they should sell a half sandwich for a more reasonable price. Most people could split one and be happy. read more

Grateful to get the fresh fruit but staggered by the airport price gouging. $16.30 for an apple and a cup of grapes. Both were fresh and tasty but I'm quite sure we were charged about $1 a grape. read more

Average food. Really disorganized service. You ordered from a kiosk. Its a bit misleading. The worst part is thete is seperate line for coffee. The coffee is swill. It probably gets its taste from left over grounds in the fillter. The attendants are curtious and try their best. Someone help. read more

I waited over 40 min for 2 x breakfast sandwiches and a toasted bagel with butter. We couldn't finish the sandwiches or the bagel and had to throw them all away on the flight back home. A complete waste of money, time and food. At the least the coffee was par. read more

I wouldn't revisit this place again. The customer service lacked and the cappuccino was mediocre at best. Additionally, false advertisement is annoying. The photos of fresh baked goods lured us in combined with the fact they had coffee. But for a few less than appealing pastries, there wasn't much available nor were the featured items. read more

I was advertised a "grown-up" grilled cheese with multiple items included within the sandwich. Service was very slow. I believe they threw in these lovely free chips due to the fact I was given nothing other than a lousy slice of cheese between two stale pieces of bread for $17, which obviously, was not what I was promised. 3 weeks ago went to sane place and it was terrific! Today NOT! Staff was rushed and short fused. They were out of the Turkey for Turkey Avocado and I asked if they could substitute the chicken breast into the Turkey -- she was having NONE of that!! lol! So I ordered the Chicken Caesar and it was TERRIBLE! DRY DRY DRY! The lettuce looked brown. Didn't go back to complain because the crew was so surely. It was a bad busy day at airport. It's crazy that there is so little choice for anything good. I went to Peet's to get coffee and there was no one behind the counter. So it wasn't just LaBrea Bakery. But the reason I'm complaining g is because it was SO DRY!! They should not have served it! read more

$15 for a crappy sandwich. Do yourself a favor and try this place called McDonalds. They manage to make a hot sandwich for under $10 at the airport. I know this place is banking on the "premium" thing but this is anything but premium. Two crappy slices of bacon and foodservice eggs. Will never go to any LaBrea again. Welcome to a breakfast place at JFK offering long lines, no regular cream cheese left at 7:00 AM (necessitating a $1.49 upgrade to flavored cream cheese), and a pint of water for an astounding $4.79. Bagel was smallish and dry. Just another example of a greedy chain taking advantage of their captive audience. Avoid if you can! read more

Generic overpriced airport food. I ended up ordering from here just because I was hungry and tired of walking. They have sandwiches, soup, and salad for food and coffee and tea for beverages. The grilled chicken panini was bland and nowhere near worth the $14.29. The $4.99 cold brew wasn't worth it either since it was just bitter. I've had much better food and coffee from chains like Panera and Dunkin' at a fraction of the price. The only good thing was the customer service. read more

Thankfully I was super early for my flight, because I don't think I would of had the patience to wait. The line was much longer when I got on, but I wanted a chai latte and all the other stores lines were even worse. Once I got to the front and ordered my ice chai latte, I asked for almond milk but initially the lady made it with whole milk. Right as she was about to give it to me she realized her mistake. I gave grace because they were so busy, and I'm glad she caught it before giving it to me. She quickly made another one with almond, and she apologized a few times. The latte wasn't the best, but it did the job for the time I was there waiting for my flight. read more

I should've listened to the reviews but I wanted to give this a chance because the line was short. The short lady at the cashier is rude to everyone. Also, I only asked if they accept meal vouchers. She ignored me but one of the customers assisted me that they accept it. So the worker finally helped me, she was on the phone making a personal call. And making weird facial expressions that annoyed her. Nothing against the staff this is based on what I experienced today. Hope the management can improve this issue. I understood she was having a bad day but at least she's getting paid there versus the customers who just want to buy a drink and got a 6-7 hours flight delayed. We have worse. Oh and it is overpriced I only got 2 drinks with my meal voucher read more

Bloody hell! I could have gotten a better bagel out of a fuggin vending machine! No wonder they don't let you look at it before buy it. At $12 per you think they could do a LITTLE better of a job. A don't even get me starred with the cross contamination going on at the coffee station! The only reason I gave them two stars is I feel bad for the poor woman working the cash register. This place is a rip off. I have it one star because of a lady who helped me get my coffee. Bibi H who served me was not a good person nor was she even willing to help out anyone. I asked for 2 breakfast sandwiches no cheese panini's. Instead I got 2 on bagels. I am diabetic so bagels are not good for me nor did I even ask for a bagel sandwich. Also when she told me the price for 2 sandwich's and a large coffee it came out to be $33.72 When I asked her to remove 1 sandwich she threw a hissy fit so I just said ok don't worry about it I'll take it. All she had to do is ouch some buttons and take off one sandwich but her fingers musta be broken. The sandwich in the end was not even worth the $12.99 dollars each. Please don't even bother with this place it's a rip off. It seems in Covid times there prices were Jack up. I was switching planes at JFK (don't ask) and had time to kill since my connecting flight was delayed (thanks Delta!). The line at Blue Smoke across the way was long so I figured I would just grab a quick sandwich. I should have waited on line at Blue Smoke for a seat! It just really seemed that nobody working there wanted to be there. The cashier could not make eye contact to save her life and even articulate a single word of greeting. I ordered a turkey and bacon panini and then had to wait for the sandwich maker to come back from wherever he was. Maybe a break or something, which was no big deal since I had time to kill anyway. So he makes the sandwich for the guy ahead of me and makes my sandwich and then gives the other guy both sandwiches. Luckily I was able to get my sandwich which was a little sad. Listen, I have low expectations for an airport panini, even if it did cost $12.52 (with tax) but this was a sad panini with all the meat on one side of the soggy bread. Yeah, a soggy panini. Who would have thought? I just can't think of anything to recommend this place unfortunately. read more

No decaf options. Extra dollar for oat milk!! So my one shot vanilla latte made with oat milk was $7. For that much I want to be in a beautiful restaurant drinking from a ceramic cup with a linen tablecloth:) That being said it was delicious. read more

honestly was terrible I tried to grab something quick before my flight, I was so disappointed. bread dryer then ever, slapped 2 sausage patties on a brick of egg , I was in shock how bad. I wouldn't recommend or revisit . based upon the comments this doesn't seem to be new. I don't mind spending money especially at the airport where we all know things will be more pricey but I should of just went to shake shack right next door or even dunkin donuts & I still have my receipt read more

Absolutely the worst place to get a bite. Panini was out together with 0 care and just slapped together. I had more egg outside my panini than inside of it. Almost no meat was put in the panini as well. The panini was 60% cheese, 25% egg and 15% sausage. Oh and then you'll pay $13 for it. I made the mistake of not looking at the reviews of this place. This place is very disorganized. I ordered a roasted veggie panini. I received a sandwich with ice cold veggies and the cheese was still in slice form. One side of the sandwich looked slightly toasted and the other side was completely soggy with no signs of being toasted. I took it back and showed them. They made me a new one in half the time it took the first one. The edges of the sandwich were piping hot. The middle was ice cold again and the bread was not even toasted. I dont recommend wasting $15 on a 'panini' here. Terrible. read more

Like pretty much every food option in this terminal, especially for breakfast, this place sucks. There are six workers, but only one person behind the counter, "making food". And when I say making food, I mean heating up pre-made sandwiches. They don't make anything. Coffee was empty, milk was empty. Well, at least they're cheap...haha just kidding they're ridiculously expensive. I had a bagel with cream cheese and a small coffee. $11. Seriously. A bagel with cream cheese and a small coffee. And I threw it away because it was far from good. I'd tell you to go somewhere else but I'm not sure where that somewhere else is. read more

We cannot get over how disappointed we were in the La Brea Bakery outpost in Terminal 4 at JFK. We went out of our way seeking better food than the usual airport stuff and ordered paninis. We tried to ask about breads but they just made whatever they usually make. These were expensive and they do not in any way resemble paninis! The bread was thin, dry and smushed, not grilled. It wasn't even warmed enough. And this is La Brea bakery bread? The staff did not seem at all professional. The food was bad and tasteless and ruined our hopes for a nice meal before our long flight to LA. And expensive!!!! We still talk about what a bad experience this was and it can't be blamed on the pandemic anymore (this was the morning of May 18th.) read more

By the time my meal arrived, the other two people in my party had already finished eating. I ordered a veggie omelette, but when it was served, it contained no vegetables at all--just egg and cheese. Between the broken high chair, long waits, lack of clean utensils, incomplete orders, and incorrect food, this was an extremely disappointing experience, especially when trying to grab breakfast before catching a flight.

Camden Food Co. must have looked up the absolute minimum amount of avocado they could use and still name the ingredient on the packaging. The sandwich was made up of tasteless slices of chicken, a bit of lettuce and tomato, and not a single solid piece of avocado. The only discernible avocado was a thin green smear on the bread. It just looked like the bread had touched an avocado by accident. I paid $17.41 for this sandwich and resent every wasted penny. I'm a little embarrassed, just as an American, that travelers can get food this terrible at New York's main international airport.

Generous helping of scallion cream cheese. Add some crispy bacon and it's a solid breakfast. The self serve coffee was also decent and a shorter line than Dunkin. The bacon egg and cheese could've had more melted cheese but we all agreed it was a good breakfast for the airport.

Was a little sticker shocked at the prices on the menu, but what can I expect? It's NYC. All I ordered was gyoza and fried rice. Food came out in about 10 minutes or so. While I sat at the counter, I stared at the 3 TV screens avoiding the chaos of the airport. What really stood out to me was the liquor selection but was extremely tired to have had any type of alcohol with my dinner. Food was okay, but hot from the kitchen. Would I come here again? Probably not.
