Pretty nicely located bagel shop with plenty of selection and friendly cashier who speaks English and Spanish fluently. Lots of customer during morning rush but the order comes out relatively quick (approximately 5 minutes). Their iced latte was just okay, didn't really taste great. The food is definitely on the pricier end for certain selections, and for 16 dollars, the bacon, sausage and egg bagel with added cream cheese seemed a bit steep. Although the flavor was great and the bacon cooked perfectly crispy, the cut was far from great as evident in the photo where on one half there was only a sliver of sausage. Bagel Market definitely has potential of being amazing, but some minor improvements are needed to reach greater heights, such as adjusting the price for some items, not rushing the cut to ensure balance, and fixing their signs that aren't that legible from the cream cheese selection as you can see in the photo with the letters falling off. This was an ok bagel. Not the best but far from worst. Fluffier and chewier than anything you'll find outside of the tri state area, but also pricier than bagels you'd pick up outside tri state area. This place was a life saver after a very long night out and sunrise on the Brooklyn bridge. Service was quick as they had only been open for about 20 min, I ordered their everything bagel with cream cheese, smoked salmon & capers. It was delicious down to the last bite. The salmon avocado has all the important ingredients in the name. It also comes with cream cheese, so I felt very full eating a lot of carbs and protein. I love a good savory bagel and anything with avocados, I have to have. This bagel place is great for quick bite for breakfast and still getting everything you need so you don't go hungry. The açaí bowl was just okay, as some of the fruits weren't ripe yet, so they were firm and not flavorful. While my order came out quickly, I'm knocking a star off my review because they forgot to make my friend's bowl, even after she gave an employee a reminder ten minutes after getting her bagel, it still took another seven minutes to receive the bowl. I was a little disappointed by the bagel I got at Bagel Market. I was recommended the jalapeño garlic cream cheese but found that the raw garlic flavor was too much for me. I had an absolutely terrible experience at this establishment today. I stopped by before my class and ordered an egg everything bagel with butter. When I finally sat down to eat, I realized they had given me an egg everything bagel with avocado instead. Since class had already started, I had to wait until lunchtime to go back and get it fixed. When I returned around 1:15 PM, I explained the mistake, and a man who seemed to be the manager was very polite and quickly corrected my order. At that point, I also decided to order a hot chocolate. When I went to pay, the cashier told me to give her five minutes because their register wasn't working. I came back twice to try again, but the system was still down. Since I planned to eat there, I let her know she could just call me over when the register was ready. As I was eating and responding to an urgent message, she suddenly started banging on the counter and yelling for me to come pay. I asked her to give me a second, but she kept insisting that I was "holding up the line." How exactly was I holding up the line when I had already attempted to pay three times? To make matters worse, another customer, who knew nothing about the situation, decided to chime in and yell at me as well. I calmly explained (again) that I had already tried to pay multiple times but their system was down. At that point, I had lost all patience and told the other customer to mind their business. As I was sitting there, still frustrated, the cashier walked by and told me to just take my hot chocolate without paying. At that point, I had lost my appetite for both the food and the entire experience. The level of unprofessionalism and unnecessary rudeness was beyond unacceptable. I will never return, and I'll be advising my colleagues, friends, and family to avoid this place as well. I really dug this bagel shop. The staff was friendly and my order was made quick. I got a jalapeño bagel with jalapeño cheddar cream cheese and egg and tomato. I have never ordered this combo before and was very surprised at my order which I'll blame on a hangover. However, it was delicious. I ate it on one of their many bistro sets in the restaurant which was lovely. The bagel was incredibly fresh and you could see the jalapeño chunks in to and the cream cheese was unique. The bagel did not have that outer crust. The egg was THICK which was impressive! My only complaint is that the bagel itself as I ate it sort of deflated and got flat, like pancake flat. Not sure if that is because it was so fresh, but I think a bagel should keep some of its shape. Again as all NYC food places, this was small as well. The area to wait for your food really didn't exist. So you have people just waiting in front of the counter, and you think they're just in line waiting to order, when in reality they're not. The menu had a wide variety of items. I went with just a basic jalapeño bagel with plain shmear. New York bagel is definitely different, good, but they just spread cream cheese dab smack into the middle so you have to open your bagel and spread the cream cheese as you're eating it.
