    Scary looking

H&M has it all: pants, shoes, scary looking mannequins... you name it. Its really a one stop shop that is comfortable to browse. I'm not sure why I found the mannequins to look so creepy. I suppose I never saw one made out of fabric before. It almost looks like human with a nylon stocking over his head - you know the type you see in bank robberies?! I'm not sure why these things greet you at the door? Perhaps to scare away children or other potential patrons?! This place has it all... shoes, pants, shirts... you name it. Upon my close inspection of merchandise the problem is that none of it appeared to be particularly great. I touched a pair of socks hanging on the wall and they felt unpleasant to the touch. Picked up a pair of jeans and they seemed flimsy and too thin. Shoes?! More of the same. The store was very comfortable. People working there helpful and things weren't so neatly placed that it made things uncomfortable. Wasn't messy or disorganized either. Very comfortable atmosphere - well as soon as you get passed the creepy mannequins. These types of stores (Express, H+M, Uniqulo) have shut down the big department stores it seems. Just down the hall JCPenny is currently having an out of business sale and I think its because these smaller trendy clothes shopping places did a better job with keeping up with consumer demands and trends. My favorite of these types of stores is Uniqlo. I like a few different items they have there. They are the best at making simple stuff well.

Nowadays, I go to this place for the basic. Finally, Newpark Mall has gotten a great stores for the better. There is a lot of different things to chose from H&M including: Bikini's,hats, socks, belts, some shoes, women and men's wear. They also have outer wear. This store is the most cleanest, and nearest I've ever been too. It's one of the most organized H&M I have ever visited. Their selection is good. Always good pick, great clothing and cool design. The customers service are great. Especially the Store manager: his name's Nate or Natie (forgive me if I misspelled your name ) he is very helpfully and has extremely pleasant experience helped my choices. I've always received exceptional his service.

I love this place. It's two stories and was a part of the beginning of the Westfield makeover for this mall. There's always a huge selection and they sizes are well stocked. What I don't like is that the wait to check out can be pretty bad, especially on the weekends. It makes me miss having weekdays off, but what can you do? You can go downstairs and pay in the men's section! I pretty much do this for any H&M that I shop at. I'm not going to wait an hour in line after I already spent about an hour scouring the racks for clothes. It's worth it to look though- the sales are always great. So never buy anything full price because it'll probably be at least 30% off in two weeks. It kills me when that happens, so being patient really pays off if you shop here regularly. There's not much else to be said about this place. Either you love it or you don't. There's always the best accessories that make great gifts. I love gifting my friends the cute mini pouches for odds and ends in their handbags. The keychains make great gifts too. Happy shopping! May you find the best deals!

Arrived at 10am at H&M in NewPark Mall (it says online and at the store that they open at 10am). It's 10:15am and they are still not open. Very inconvenient!

The price here seems to be a little bit lower than other H&Ms. But the return policy is extremely strict and the staff is not friendly.

I know this store gets criticism for being selective, but honestly, would you want to buy secondhand children's items that weren't carefully inspected? They're selective for a reason, and as a parent, I appreciate that. I've also seen negative comments about the owner. In my experience, he's always been kind and professional. He genuinely seems to care about the business and his customers. Like anyone, he may come across differently depending on the situation, but if you give him a chance, I think you'll find he's a good guy. Yes, there can be a wait when you sell your items, but that's because someone is individually sorting through every single piece. That takes time. I'd rather they inspect everything thoroughly than rush through it. As for payouts, they are very upfront about how their buying process works. If you're looking to make the absolute most money, they'll even suggest other platforms like Facebook Marketplace. But as a busy mom, convenience is worth a lot. I don't always have the time to photograph, list, answer messages, and coordinate meetups. I'd much rather bring everything in, get paid the same day, and be done. People also forget that this is a business. They have rent, payroll, utilities, and many other operating costs. They can't pay close to retail value and still keep the doors open. The trade-off is convenience, and for me, it's absolutely worth it. Overall, Once Upon a Child is a fantastic place to buy affordable, gently used kids' items and an easy, hassle-free option for selling what your family no longer needs. I'll definitely keep coming back.

I brought in several items from brands like Zara and Nike that were in excellent, almost new condition. I understand resale stores need to make a profit, but the offers were shockingly low--around $1-$2 per item. The younger employees were friendly and pleasant, but the older gentleman who helped me was extremely rude, impatient, and acted like my questions were an inconvenience. When I politely asked how they determine what they pay for certain items, he couldn't really explain it and responded with a lot of attitude instead of being helpful. After my visit, I read through some of the other reviews, and I wish I had done that beforehand. It seems several other customers had similar experiences with the older gentleman, and I definitely understand what they were talking about. Based on my experience, he came across as unfriendly, impatient, and rude. Customer service makes all the difference, and unfortunately, this experience was anything but pleasant. Between the long wait, the very low offers, and the poor customer service, I won't be returning to buy or sell here. I'd rather donate my kids' clothes to Goodwill than deal with that kind of attitude.

Having a 3 week newborn it was hard not having a stroller since they do not permit it but when I went around 11am there were only a few people shopping. Carrying a newborn, diaper bag and two small kids in tow did a work out on me.(good thing) After paying admission, i walked to the newborn boy section which didnt have much nor the 3-6 month section. I proceeded to the girl section and noticed the clothes were faded and missing bottoms to pjs set. Still asking for $4.00. You might as well try your luck at Savers thrift or Eco-Thrift for better selection/pricing. Theres also a security guard there to check and verify your purchase. Now mind you, I didnt see high end name brand items (bug a boo, hanna andersson etc) that a security would need to be present but perhaps in previous events they had issues.
