This is one of my favorite clothing stores. This stores offers casual to business to trendy chic. I'm actually a fan of their purses and jewelry because they're very simple and very modern. No gaudy stuff here! The number one reason I love this store is because of their prices. Sweatpants for $14? Ok...! Poncho for $29....? Ok...! Even though the prices are cheaper, the clothes don't look cheap. The quality is still there. Staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Like today, one employee told me that I can scan a product bar code in store on their H&M app and order it online in my size! Ahhh....snap. read more

What a horrible experience. There was a worker there GianCarlo who was such a complete jerk! While I was waiting in line for the dressing room for over ten minutes I changed my mind on several items to try on, there was a 7 item limit and I had over that. Since they were busy I decided to skip trying on the things I was iffy about and just try on 7 items. Once finally inside the entry to the dressing room I placed the unwanted items on an empty clothing rack. I told GianCarlo that I changed my mind and no longer wanted these items. He walked over to another associate and loudly announced that she shouldn't let people set clothing on those racks because it wasn't Target or (and he turns to look at me) Walmart. Cute trendy clothes for CHEAP. Mostly women's clothes, though there IS a children's and a men's section. They just opened yesterday and there were tons of people there still at about 9pm on a Thursday. The line for the dressing room was huge and the music was on waaay too loud last night. This place has cheap clothes and a decent return policy. Their customer service is hit or miss. If you go on a tuesday morning the staff is usually great and helpful, because they can afford to be. If you go at lunch time on a saturday, be prepared to dig through clothes, wait in line to try things on, and wait in line again at the register. It's just BUSY! I would never go to the mall on a weekend and expect NOT to wait in line. Don't complain when everyone else had the same idea as you, people. Patience is a virtue. You had better try EVERYTHING on. That 10 minute wait in line and messing up your pony tail is worth it! The sizing can be funky for sure. But it's better safe than sorry, I try on clothing everywhere. Yes, this store has much less selection than the SF stores. But it's ROSEVILLE! That's WHY you go to SF. Oh the shopping! HUZZAH! Oh and I almost forgot, the clothes are decent quality for the price. . .but DO NOT put them in the dryer. Hang dry it all! I'm serious! Especially you guys, unless you want a midriff, HANG DRY! The Swedes may one day rule the earth. First, they come up with Ikea, then H&M. Both stores offer attractive, stylish, inexpensive merchandise, and I couldn't be happier that both can now be found in the Sacramento area. I came to H&M shortly after its opening at the Galleria in search of work clothes. I bought a whole new work wardrobe for around $300. My eyes were bugging out at how cheap yet nice everything was. After several years of asking girls where they got their cute dress/shirt/skirt/etc and hearing the answer, "H&M in the Galleria", I finally made it up the hill to check it out. I go through clothes pretty quickly because I'm a klutz so I'm constantly tearing, spilling, and otherwise destroying my clothes. For this reason, I'm fine with buying cheap clothes from places like Forever 21, Wet Seal, and Target because I know I'm going to find a way to ruin them before they wear out naturally anyway. H&M was disappointing, to say the least. The store was cramped and sloppily merchandised (which I can get over) and I barely found anything that I would actually wear. I grabbed up my usual sizes in some skirts, dresses, and pants and tried on the first seven items and nothing fit even though I'd grabbed a size up or down in some of the garments. The fitting room itself was a nightmare. It's co-ed, cramped, poorly designed, and a total pain in the neck. I spent the majority of the two hours I was in the store waiting in line. After my first round of potential purchases didn't fit, I chose sizes more carefully and held things up to me. I am aware of what size I am and take this into account for certain cuts and styles. I used to work retail and I know my sh*t. At H&M I ended up trying on a size TWELVE that was too small and a size FOUR that was too big - WHAT? Think about that for a second. Their sizing system is completely screwed up and does not at all reflect the generally accepted concept of sizing. It was like shopping at a thrift store or rummage sale. Over 40 items and over an hour spent standing in the fitting room line, I gave up and left empty handed and annoyed. If I'm at the Galleria for some other reason, I might stop in and see if I can find anything, but I won't be making anymore special trips. read more

I love this store, very practical pieces you can find at very affordable prices. -1 star because the place was very unorganized, felt like there was no real theme in anywhere - just random clothes. I don't understand what people are talking about - The dressing rooms are as good as it gets - It's not like you will be resting there. I love H&M, which is why I continue to put myself into an agonizing shopping experience. The sizes never run the same even though it is the same brand. I can be anywhere from a size 2 to a size 6 depending on the particular item. So try EVERYTHING on. This store has continued to be a stressful experience for me, but since it is the only one in the area, im forced to go back. I am ALWAYS standing in line to purchase my merchandise. Today I was in one line for probably 30mins before they decided maybe they need to open up another register. When the third register was open (right when i was next in line) they decided to make the one long line into three separate lines. I of course pick the wrong line and watched four people who were behind me in line go up to the counter, pay, and leave before I finally was helped. I mentioned this to the employee who showed no interest in what I had to say, and when I told her I plan on writing my experience to the company she rolled her eyes and said whatever. The only reason why I gave this 2 stars is because I love H&M's fashion and reasonable prices. This particular store doesn't deserve any stars. read more

Finally H&M came to the metro Sacramento area. I use to live in the bay area, and shopped at the H&M in SF. Since my move to Sacramento, I've been traveling to SF just to shop at this store. H&M is very up to date with fashion. I trust that any piece of clothing I get form this store is stylin''. Love the men and children departments. Every weekend has a new surprise; they're always having something on sale. Can't beat the price for the style. read more

Once in a blue moon, I find something DECENT in this store. I think I've only bought like 2 items from them. One time was because it was the first store I see when entering the mall & I had to buy a shirt to change into quickly. The 2nd item was a total rip off I know I could've gotten cheaper elsewhere but I went ahead & bought it anyways because I was already there. There are some employees working here that really makes you question what's up their ass. Hate it hate it hate it !!!! Don't understand what the hype is about with this store. It's fantastic. I go in there every time I'm in the galleria. It's a way underrated store. Why? Because they have a huge variety for all different kinds of people, just in a more stylish way. The men's selection is quite big and the women's selection is huge (as always). What I've noticed is that for the most part, everything is very inexpensive... or if it's not inexpensive, it's very expensive. So you can't really tell how much something is in there just by looking at it. Overall. Great, great store. read more

A fashionable co-worker turned me on to this place and thank goodness he did. Shopaholics and fashionistas (and fashionistos) will quickly realize that THERE IS NO ONE STOP SHOP for clothing. One place has good shirts, one place has good pants, one place has great shoes, one place has great accessories. H&M is my spot for neck and wrist jewelry. The clothes, meh, not so much. Thick leather cuffs, thin leather straps, nickel bracelets and necklaces, cheap little rings, cheap fashionable sunglasses, cheap fashionable hats. If you're a dude that weighs about 140 lbs and like skinny jeans you'll prob like their clothes. I agree with many other fellow yelpers. The dressing rooms are definitely too small. If they want customers to purchase more, a good sized dressing room would perhaps render that. I usually purchase basics/casuals for work such as black pencil skirts, basic tops, etc but I haven't found anything that really stood out to me. If I do find something, they don't usually have my size. Their spring/summer dresses are OKAY but not worth spending $25-30; I'd rather go to Forever21 where I can find more fashionable and cute items! Although the store itself is HUGE, the customer service is lacking. read more

Even if they don't exactly have the highest quality clothes, here I can find a quick fix for formal wear any day at a great price! And even though i'm a girl, my favorite buy is definitely their soft men's V-neck tees for $5.98. Super comfy to wear day or night! Oh and whenever they give out those free H&M $5 gift cards, I always pick up one of these for just about $1! Such a great deal! This H&M is clean and the employees are really nice. Once, I saw a dress on a sales rack without a sales price tag ($24.99) and asked the manager how much it was. She told me she doesn't know but to just go up to the register and tell them she said it's $7.99. When I went to pay for it, the dress rang up for $14.99. To this she said, "Oh! Don't even worry about it. I told you $7.99 so I'll still give it to you at that price." So sweet! Made a perfect gift for my sister :D read more

I have to admit that after spending time shopping in SF, shops back in the 916 seem smaller and less stocked. While in SF recently, my cousin and I shopped up a storm in the two story H&M Union Square location. They had tons of accessories, shoes and clothing on clearance for $. When we got back to the area, I went to the Roseville location to see what they had. I was sad to see that the store is a quarter of the size with a fraction of the inventory. This store is ok compared to the larger version. After seeing the options available in SF, this H&M pales in comparison for deals. read more

I've always liked this H&M location. Today, however, I shopped for a couple of stuff that my arms were suffering because I was carrying too many clothes. I asked if they could store it on their rack at the fitting room and they couldn't. They advised me to go to the cashier, but they didn't have like a certain rack where they can hang clothes there, just a hangers' rack. I might be wrong though. But yeah, the lady in the fitting room during my last fitting was new and should be taught how excellent customer service works. That means, actually trying to help the person having a hard time carrying all the clothes on her arms while shopping. I would go here again because it's the closest H&M location I could go to. I was cornered by three women pushing baby strollers when I went here about a month ago. I handed over the ugly sweater I was looking at and they let me pass. This H&M is big but didn't have anything that was worth standing in line for 30 minutes to pay for. I like the ones in SF better. There are less baby strollers there and nicer clothes. read more

Okay, clothes-wise, I love this place. They have a pretty large variety of things, and the majority of it is decently priced. I almost always find something here, and it's one of my go-to stops when in need for something in particular or when I just need some retail therapy. Customer service, however, is extremely inconsistent. The majority of the time I get helpful, friendly service, but sometimes I get a cashier who won't even say hello at all. This store gets stolen from like every minute. The store sensors literally wouldn't stop beeping when I was in there last. The cashiers are pretty friendly, but the fitting room and go back crew rarely ever make verbal contact with you and you can tell they hate their job. They need to teach their staff how to deal with LP properly and how to work in customer service. If you helped your customers find what they were looking for or at least acknowledged them when they're roaming the store than maybe you wouldn't have to be so grumpy that you'd have "go-backs" or recovery. read more

H&M is no doubt a great place to find unique, fashionable pieces that will fit everyone's budget. I haven't shopped there hundreds of times, however I have been there quite a few times, and every time I have been there I have found funky little pieces (such as vests, bags, shirts, jackets, cardigans) and accessories to spice up new clothes and what I already owned. I always love everything I purchase there long after I take it home and never have any buyers' remorse! =) I have always been able to find my size and have never had any trouble with the sizing, which I saw alot of other Yelpers mention. Most of their clothes and accessories are Amazingly well- priced, although I noticed that some random pieces (dresses, jackets, etc) can be pretty darn expensive-about $50 and up- for only decent quality in the first place. I really do like the atmosphere there, because it feels as if it is almost encouraging you to go and create an amazing outfit and feel greatly accomplished. (That's how I feel anyway. =) haha) However, two things that I don't really appreciate about their Galleria in Rocklin, CA location -the only one I've been to- are their lacks of organization and helpful employees. (These are the reasons why I knocked off a star.) It is a good thing I like to shop and REALLY search for fun new clothes, because they are not very well organized. What I mean by that is they don't have all their shirts (for example) in one set, easily accessible area, but instead spread almost entirely throughout the store and in every last little nook and cranny. Whenever I walk into this store and I'm already slightly tired -which I don't recommend doing- I get slightly annoyed by this, especially if I have my list complete with pictures and can't find anything. When this happens, I always try and ask an employee for help, although they are never anywhere to be found, and usually after I spend about 10-15 minutes looking, I finally find one. Not to mention, they aren't very helpful in the first place, and I have never been asked I needed any help. Trying the clothes on is another story, as you should expect 5-20 minutes standing in line before getting a dressing room, and about the same for checking out. In conclusion, I really do like this store for their clothes-not customer service, (Sorry for all of the ranting!!) but I do recommend it to those who know they will most likely have to fend for themselves and expect a long wait! read more

I only have the H&M in San Francisco to compare this to. I have to say this store is more organized then the SF location. Maybe because its still new. I went in before xmas and found two shirts I liked that were really cheap. 25 bucks but my son was crying so I put them back and left. A week after xmas I went back and those two shirts were buy one get one free. It made me pause to ask myself, "Do I have such suck ass taste that they are giving the shirts away cuz they are so ugly" I bought them both anyway. LOL What a deal. One thing I will never understand is the valour sweat suits. I don't even care if its a Juicy sweat suit. They are all so tacky and only a 14 year old cheerleader would look good in them. H&M had racks and racks of them and I didn't see buy one get one free, so they must still be in demand. I won't put H&M on my list of favorite places for clothing, but I know when I am at the Galleria, I will be compelled to go in and look. read more

5 stars for their service! After months of hunting for the perfect blazer, I finally found it at H&M! Only problem is - they didnt have my size!! Noooo!!! After searching every single corner of H&M, Carlos came to my rescue. Another sales person told me that the blazer I was holding is probably the only one left in the whole store. And if I wanted it I would have to go all the way to San francisco to get it ( which is totally fine with me since I was heading back to sf this weekend anyways) but after she said that she didnt even offer to help me find out from the other stores if they had it or not. Wtf.. Thank god Carlos came out of no where and so graciously help me copy down the style number and found all 4 SF H&M location's phone number for me. He was even nice enough to go to the back and look if maybe that blazer is about to go on sale and maybe there's a stock of it in the backroom (unfortunately no luck). But still he went above and beyond his job. Especially since he wasnt even the one I had originally asked to look for me. On our way out of the store my friend spotted a bikini set she really liked. Carlos then spent 15 mins helping us look for it since there were like 5 different spots in the store where they had swimwear. even though he was suppose to be closing the men's section.. This review is based on the customer service, one employee in particular. . As for the store as a whole, I would give it four stars. The clothing found at H&M was always quite nice, especially in this store. . From the start of my experience at H&M, it's always been a very pleasant time and a memorable experience. In fact, just yesterday I stopped by and purchased a $50 jacket that was originally priced at $100+ A nice score, indeed, even the blonde male that was helping had a gregarious personality and welcoming atmosphere. Although just a moment ago, on this day during the evening, my family and I were in the long line and heard. . What was a very agitated voice, "next customer" As the family usually does, we were greeting the cashier since they've probably been working a long shift. As well, with the Christmas time (really, just the holidays as a whole) you would hope everyone is in a joyous mood. Not quite, we were helped by a young girl who didn't care to converse with us in the slightest. Keisha was her name, she didn't help to clarify any of our questions and concerns about the products, as well just made the experience as a whole very awkward and drab. Despite her not even greeting us or even pretending to care about our presence, we said thank you to her. . And well, we didn't receive a reply. In fact, perhaps we did, if you count the long and heavy "sigh" she let out. A shame indeed, smile a bit and at the very least pretend to care about your customer. Without them shopping at your workplace, you would be without a job. That in itself is more than enough to be grateful for, however, feel free to interpret this any which way. read more

SERIOUSLY THE WORST ONLINE STORE EVER. EVERY SINGLE TIME I order something online, the website tweaks at the very end when I'm ready to check out. This happened to me NUMEROUS times no matter what I tried. And also another time my order got lost and never came. I called them and they gave me a discount code and I had to re order everything again- and most of the stuff was out of stock already anyways. Oh and when I tried the code it wouldn't work multiple times even after calling them. I just gave up and didn't order from there for a while. PLEASE READ!!! I think people should note that most of these reviews were from pre-spring 2009, in which the store nearly doubled in size since then. It now has a full mens, womens, and childrens department (despite what their website says. They basically knocked down the former wall was and now have 2 sides of the store. Place still gets insanely busy and dressing room is obviously too small, but they have tons of stuff now compared to pre-spring 2009. read more

Love the selection of clothing here! I prefer to dress a little more conservative than most...(in saying that I dress non-hookerish like most women these days). They have a lot of different varieties for different personal styles. I found a gorgeous knee length white lace skirt to finish off a nautical outfit. H&M is a great place to check out if you already have a sense of style. Without that creativity running through your veins I can honestly say you're in big trouble. When I worked in corporate retail, a lot of the fashion buyers had these greatest outfits on and I was shocked to learn that they bought their outfits at H&M the same week I was there. Why is it I never find anything when I go here? It is because I have no fashion sense. I look at the mannequins for guidance yet when I try on the outfit I somehow make the cute outfit look absurd. H&M has a lot of basics and enough fashion forward items to allow you to be creative with your outfits. They have a decent collection of career wear BUT because most of them are hanging on linear bars (as opposed to face out or quad fixtures) you have to really scavenge through every single bar rather than doing a quick visual browse to find something cute. I just wish this particular location had triple the amount of jewelry and purses, after all they are the icing to the plain old run of the mill outfit. Now for my comparisons: Tiny compared to H&M on Powell Street but that is to be expected. Better selection than the one in SF Centre and a limited amount of accessories compared to the Walnut Creek location. They have more choices in the girls department for Hello Kitty gear compared to the Walnut Creek location. Better selection of boys wear compared to the Walnut Creek location. I could easily do damage in this store just by shopping for my niece and nephew. read more

Since we don't have a H&M store in Hawaii, I usually try to hit up one on the mainland. I always like to look at their random cheap stuff first before moving on to the bigger better things. I like their blouses because they're fun and cutesy. I don't really care for their edgier stuff... some of the stuff it's like what was the designer thinking? I don't really like their pants because I'm short... so I don't want to bother with the hemming. I have found cute bathing suits, underwear, and bras... I didn't check this time. I ended up with a few blouses and a shirt for my niece. I do like their stuff for the most part and they have friendly staff. I wish I could give no stars. There is never an excuse for poor customer service. They would not accept my fiancé's 10 dollars off of 60 spent coupon bc it had no bar code. I asked of there was a way to punch in the code, the check out clerk said no. I replied well what if your scanner went down? You couldn't punch in the bar code number in then?? She paused and said no.... I walked away, items left on the counter. I found the manager and asked her the same questions. She said yes we can punch in the codes, but made no attempt to rectify my bad experience. I told her bluntly both her and her staff have horrible customer service. read more
