To our surprise, we were so thrilled to see Colony Wine Merchant had a good sized menu with various options to choose from: small bites, appetizers, entrees and dessert. We weren't too hungry so we opted for the daily sandwich of the day and their seasonal soup offering. Every bite from both items was enjoyed so much. The soup had the perfect consistency of creaminess followed by savory tomato flavor. It had some delicious (and I think) roasted potatoes, and the side of roasted sourdough with roasted tomatoes was perfection and really brought the dish together beautifully. The daily sandwich of the day was also fantastic! We remember biting into the sandwich and it melting in our mouth. The bread was beautifully crunchy and the meat with all its toppings inside couldn't have been any better. For our drinks, we opted to do a tasting of whites and reds. The wines were selected by our host (if I recall) and remember enjoying them all. It was fun to taste not only different varietals, but wines from different parts of the world. I was especially excited to see they had a really great selection of wine bottles to purchase in their wine shop. I happened to see one of my favorite ones there.
