Wasn't sure what to expect from H Bar on date night. It's such a small bar in the Post Oak Hotel. But, my, oh my, it did not disappoint! We were lucky to scoop two stools up at the bar because it was so crowded! The bartenders were amazing! They were fast, cool, and just plain nice. It has a dimly-lit sexy vibe--perfect for date night. Music was great too. We people-watched and had a blast! They served us complimentary olives and cashews, which was perfect with our Eagle Rare whiskey. I can't wait to go back!

This is a nice upscale lounge. It had very dim/low light inside giving it a grown & sexy vibe. The crowd was mature and classy. It's open seating, first come first serve. I ordered 2 French 75s with Bombay and they were so good! French 75 is one of my favorite drinks and the handsome bartender who made mine knew what he was doing. I'd definitely recommend it here. I'll come back here when I'm back in town. Valet parking on a Saturday night was $15.

The H bar is luxury in the post oak hotel. It has that late night lounge vibe that comes alive after dinner and a good night out in Houston. There is usually a DJ on the weekends and the place can get busy with socialites and out of towners alike. It's a fun place to meet and hangout for a night cap for sure. The drinks can range in price and offers a full bar with all your fancies. I like the post oak margarita and it a mix of jamica, so it makes a good digestive as well. Kind of has a punchy flavor, but smooth as well. The crowd can be loud and annoying especially with an understaffed bar and limited seating, so best to get luck or know someone with a seat before you arrive. Famous people and awesome cars have been known to pull up at this place which is cool as well!

Literally felt like a queen at this establishment! Loved the vibe, loved the bar tenders and enjoyed the music. It's located inside hotel and across from an amazing restaurant week. I would suggest you visit this bar most during Houston Restaurant week. It really made my night. Order their lemon drop martini. Super delicious!

Came here on a weekend afternoon and had the French 75 (cognac, fresh lemon juice, champagne). We sat towards the back on the comfy and hip couch. The bartenders and servers were kind and knowledgeable, able to recommend things for us that were off-the-menu. We were immediately served some chips (amazing and addictive), nuts, and olives. We also ordered some apps - lava roll and lobster roll. The lava roll was comprised of avocado, shrimp, lobster, blue crab - loved it! Liked the fusion flare. The lobster roll is made of brioche, caviar, and chervil - was a bit on the small size, but definitely made up for lack of size with plenty of flavor!

Had a fun night with my girl the other night. we thought the bar was gonna close at 12 but instead they closed at 1 which was a pleasant surprise. i honestly didn't think the bar was gonna be packed but it was, and in fact we had to wait. but the wait wasn't long, just about 5min. while the place was packed, the service was great. we got our drinks on time and the server checked on us multiple times and she was friendly. i would def come back, it was a great night and the drinks were strong. i got a vodka sprite double and tequila shot which was perfect. parking: you can either valet or self-park. the valet guy was nice and pointed us to an empty parking spot next to valet, so we parked there and it was safe.

Located inside the Post Oak Hotel is this sophisticated, intimate bar and lounge. My partner and I came here for pre-dinner cocktails and a small bite and were immediately taken back in time. We ordered some espresso martinis and were so delighted with how creamy and delicious they were. I also enjoyed one of their Bellinis. To eat, we ordered a short rib slider and a California roll. The slider was a bit on the dry side but the flavors were delicious. The California roll was delicious and fresh. The ambience is very intimate and the service was wonderful. We really enjoyed our time here and plan to come back in the future.

This bar is located inside the ground level of the Post Oak Hotel. Reservations are possible, we have been there on a Friday and the place wasn't fully packed though. Service was average, it's nice that you can get food ordered and delivered from the steakhouse Mastro's next door. The seating is comfortable but the noise level is very high, communication is not easy. Valet parking available, no own parking possible.

The food was on point. I ordered a Gin and Ton no complaints. The service was to the T.

My crème brûlée with almond biscotti. Sorry I didn't get the sushi, I ate it too quickly. :)

I ate at Norigami Tuesday night and it was great as were the cocktails served up at the nextdoor bar called Hidden Bar. On Tuesday, I tried the Thai Chili Ginger Margarita ($13) and it was great, complete with a hunk of candied ginger which I "gingerly" consumed throughout my drink experience...see what I did there? Next, I had the Three Dots and a Daiquiri ($13) with Rum, Lime, Velvet Falernum, All Spice and Pineapple and it was very similar to one of my favorite tiki drinks, the Three Dots and a Dash, complete with 3 luxardo cherries. To finish, I had the absolutely incredible Golden Laurel ($16) with Gin, Italicus Bergamot, House Greek Botanical Bitters and Sea Salt. It is equally beautiful served with a clear bay leaf and delicious. Last night, I was guided by the friendly bartender to try the Et Tu Banana" ($15) with Banana Bourbon, Spiced Pear, Creme de Banane, Campari and Citric Acid. I was a little worried about the cocktail being overly banana-y but it wasn't at all. It was a fantastic drink. For my last call, he recommended the Left Hand ($13) with Bourbon, Campari, Sweet Vermouth and Chocolate Bitters. Again, fantastic. Both nights, the bartenders and drinks were fantastic. Ambiance is nice with moody lighting. They even have a bidet toilet seat in the bathroom! Hidden Bar is a "hidden" gem, for sure. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We weren't alone... three other couples left early, their half-finished drinks untouched, suggesting they were just as underwhelmed. The seating was uncomfortable (especially the cramped two-person bench), and while the service was passable, no effort was made to address our concerns. Instead of welcoming constructive feedback, the manager responded with condescension, dismissing our comments by saying the "experience" wasn't for everyone--implying we lacked taste rather than acknowledging the clear missteps. There are plenty of elevated cocktail experiences worth your time and money. Sadly, Navi isn't one of them.

Giorgio's is one of two restaurants located in the beautiful Hotel Granduca across from Uptown Park. This is a very nice and upscale property with both valet and self parking available. When I made the reservation I initially chose inside dining but after arriving we decided to take advantage of their offer to sit outside to take advantage of their lovely patio by the pool and the very pleasant outdoor temperature that evening after a nice rain. We were seated near the door where the pianist was playing nice music inside that allowed us to enjoy it. Giorgio's HRW 3 course dinner this year was $39 and I ordered the Burrata Panzanella Salad as my first course followed by Cavatelli Bolognese for the second finishing with the Flourless Chocolate Cake for the third. While waiting we were brought some bread along with trays of peanuts, potato chips and popcorn which was a little unusual but no one complained about free food. I must say that all of my 3 courses were excellent tasting. The Burrata salad had a large serving of the above named cheese with fresh tomatoes, olives and ciabatta bread that was cool in temperature and I could have eaten another serving because it was so good. The pasta bolognese was equally delicious except warm in temperature with the Akaushi beef making a delicious bolognese sauce over the cavatelli. Finally the cake was fresh and full of chocolate flavor with berries and Nutella alongside a scoop of rich vanilla ice cream. This was a perfect finish for what was a fine meal. The outdoor setting was also perfect and one that I wouldn't hesitate to repeat. So why do I only give 4 stars? For some reason not understood by anyone in our party was the fact that this entire experience took us 3 hours from being seated to paying the checks for our 3 course dinners. They didn't appear to be too busy that night so I'm not sure why it took so long. Our group did enjoy our time together and filled it with good conversation but still this dinner should have taken at least 1 hour less. Talking about a slow relaxed pace for dinner....this was a little too slow. I would still be happy to return.

I wasn't sure what to expect based on the name of the restaurant, but essentially their seafood options are spectacular. And it feels like an exclusive club because the decor and service are both very much high class and special. We tried the coconut shrimp as the appetizer and really liked it. It was lightly fried and the shrimp was cooked to perfection - not under and not over. I would highly recommend this one to start. Loved it. If you're looking for a fair-priced meal, they have lots of salad and sandwich options. I tried the salmon poke bowl and it was so delicious. The fish was extremely fresh, and all the flavors blended together really well. It was like a healthy party in my mouth. It was great decision. You wanna splurge a bit and live large like YOLO? You gotta get the crab cake. Now, how good can a crab cake be? Well, if you're paying close to $50 for one crab cake, you better believe it's gonna be freaking awesome. And alas, it was. Best crab cake I've ever had in my life, no joke. And I've tried a lot of crab cakes in my many decades of dining out. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be coming back many times. Enjoy! Quick note on parking - plenty of parking in a huge lot shared by many businesses such as Kenny and Ziggy's. Only annoying part is several sections of the lot are designated for specific businesses, so just look for the signs and be willing to park a little bit further away towards Taco Deli and Bluestone.

Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in quite some time. We had an 8:00 PM reservation but weren't seated until around 8:30 PM. While delays happen and I was willing to overlook that, the experience only went downhill from there. We ordered Palomas to kick off our Friday night. The drinks took quite a while to arrive, and when they did, they were noticeably watered down. I politely mentioned it to our server, who quickly took them back and brought replacements, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the second round was nearly identical to the first. When I brought it up again, instead of acknowledging the feedback, the server responded by saying it was "just not a sugary drink." That completely missed the point. I wasn't expecting a sweet cocktail--I was pointing out that the drinks tasted diluted and poorly made. What bothered me most wasn't the drinks themselves, but how the feedback was handled. I wasn't looking for free drinks or trying to be difficult. I was simply offering honest feedback, and it felt like my opinion was being dismissed rather than heard. Unfortunately, the food didn't redeem the experience. We ordered several dishes to get a good sense of the menu, and most were overwhelmingly salty. The salt overpowered any other flavors to the point that we couldn't finish some of the dishes. The sushi was the best thing we had, but even that lacked the presentation and quality I would expect at this price point. To be fair, the manager did remove the drinks from our bill as a courtesy, and I appreciate that gesture. However, by that point the damage had already been done. A resolution is only effective when guests feel heard and respected throughout the process. Instead, I felt like I had to defend my opinion and justify my feedback before anyone took it seriously. At the end of the day, a restaurant can be trendy, crowded, and beautifully designed, but none of that matters if the food and service don't deliver. Balboa Surf Club has the atmosphere and location, but in my experience it falls short where it matters most. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried it because I had always been curious, but now I know I won't be back and cannot recommend it. If you're looking for a similar concept, I'd recommend Hudson House. The atmosphere is comparable, but the drinks are consistently well-made, the food is much better, and the service has always been far superior.
