Came here for date night while I was visiting Houston. The interior is sexy and dim and you're immediately encapsulated by the music and sound of the drums. The perfect mix between sultry and EDM music definitely puts you in a trance here. Our hostess was friendly and our seats were cozy, velvety soft, and comfortable. He ordered me a lemon drop which I barely drank because there was too much sugar on the rim and I hate a sugared or salted rim. I ordered the lobster caviar roll and it was pretty good, I'll give it a 9/10. I was also surprised with the chocolate tart as a birthday dessert. I'm not a fan of chocolate but the strawberries made it more palatable. The dessert is rich and decadent in flavor. Ultimately, the vibes in this lounge were definitely my vibe. I enjoyed the entertainment and service provided throughout the night and I can't wait to return!

Vibes! Segreto is a very upscale, trendy speakeasy bar. Don't be fooled by the classical speakeasy name, the live music wasn't quiet! (Fine with me) There was a jazz band, great cocktails, and very cool seating where you could kick back and enjoy some time with friends. Will return!

Fun place with great drinks and live music!! You can also order small appetizers to go with your drinks!! The service is also pretty good. The drinks and food came pretty fast.

We visited Segreto last night for drinks with some friends. The food & drink menu is simple yet diverse. We enjoyed sipping our drinks while the DJ entertained the room and the ambient lights glistened off the chandelier. Our server was highly attentive throughout the night.

Really cool spot for an upscale dinner experience. There's plenty of parking in around the corner. Cant speak much for the food itself but the drinks and live music make quite the scene! Everything is beautifully crafted and presented. The disco lights and cover band put on great performance, but it is quite loud so be prepared! It's also very pricey, which shouldn't come as a surprise for this side of town. The place wasn't terribly busy on Thursday night but would make a reservation if you're coming to celebrate with a group!

6 star for this place! I L O V E I T! Atmosphere, music, people, drinks, service, everything is amazing!

I learned about Segreto when I ate at Lombardi's grand opening. Segreto means secret in Italian and this is a hidden/secret speakeasy bar that is connected to Lombardi. You can enter Segreto two ways. From the right side of Lombardi or some VIPs are taken through the kitchen. The ambiance curates the sexiest vibe and will make you surrender to Segreto's enchantment. They have live music going all night long, upscale dress code to honor as they want you to dress for the experience you would like to have. They have exquisite sashimi and caviar that pairs perfect with their meticulously hand crafted cocktails. I had 7 pink dragons and two shots casa migos. Which is why you see me laying on the concrete after I left Lol. A good time was definitely had here! Going back is a must. This time I will stick to a two drink maximum. Lol

I got to say I am beyond surprise of how amazing this place is I was able to come in and celebrate my partner birthday and they were amazing. Keaton A I believe he was one of the managers and Angelo welcome The group and make sure that we had a blast. They had a live show. Lots of fun music, and a DJ. The drinks were amazing as well. I was able to try a few definitely recommend the dragon drink. I will be definitely coming back here with friends. It is definitely an amazing place to be. We didn't even care about the price of the drinks or anything because we were having so much fun. Highly recommend this place.

If you're looking for dark - moody - intimate - romantic vibes Segreto Lounge is definitely IT. A rare date night on a Wednesday with my sweet gentleman - we had an 8pm reservation and were promptly seated - we almost had the place to ourselves. The DJ didn't start till 9 - but there was music. My gentleman really enjoyed the smoked old fashioned - my H-Town Spritz was also really good. Our waitress was very chill and just let us enjoy our cocktails and each other until our glasses were empty - We will for sure go back - perhaps on a Latin night or a live music night. DOWNSIDES - he is 6ft3 the chairs and tables are really small and really short, so if your gentleman is a big guy I'd recommend a bar seat or perhaps one of the sofa style seats. There is a $100 spend minimum - that is not mentioned on Open Table OR on their website or by our waitress - had we known up front - we would have ordered another cocktail or dessert. That's my only reason for the 4 stars.

I ate at Norigami Tuesday night and it was great as were the cocktails served up at the nextdoor bar called Hidden Bar. On Tuesday, I tried the Thai Chili Ginger Margarita ($13) and it was great, complete with a hunk of candied ginger which I "gingerly" consumed throughout my drink experience...see what I did there? Next, I had the Three Dots and a Daiquiri ($13) with Rum, Lime, Velvet Falernum, All Spice and Pineapple and it was very similar to one of my favorite tiki drinks, the Three Dots and a Dash, complete with 3 luxardo cherries. To finish, I had the absolutely incredible Golden Laurel ($16) with Gin, Italicus Bergamot, House Greek Botanical Bitters and Sea Salt. It is equally beautiful served with a clear bay leaf and delicious. Last night, I was guided by the friendly bartender to try the Et Tu Banana" ($15) with Banana Bourbon, Spiced Pear, Creme de Banane, Campari and Citric Acid. I was a little worried about the cocktail being overly banana-y but it wasn't at all. It was a fantastic drink. For my last call, he recommended the Left Hand ($13) with Bourbon, Campari, Sweet Vermouth and Chocolate Bitters. Again, fantastic. Both nights, the bartenders and drinks were fantastic. Ambiance is nice with moody lighting. They even have a bidet toilet seat in the bathroom! Hidden Bar is a "hidden" gem, for sure. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Next was a festive margarita. Third was a grey goose shot of vodka with a caviar bump. Then a bourbon based drink with some foam that was delicious. We weren't alone... three other couples left early, their half-finished drinks untouched, suggesting they were just as underwhelmed. The seating was uncomfortable (especially the cramped two-person bench), and while the service was passable, no effort was made to address our concerns. Instead of welcoming constructive feedback, the manager responded with condescension, dismissing our comments by saying the "experience" wasn't for everyone--implying we lacked taste rather than acknowledging the clear missteps. There are plenty of elevated cocktail experiences worth your time and money. Sadly, Navi isn't one of them.

Giorgio's is one of two restaurants located in the beautiful Hotel Granduca across from Uptown Park. This is a very nice and upscale property with both valet and self parking available. When I made the reservation I initially chose inside dining but after arriving we decided to take advantage of their offer to sit outside to take advantage of their lovely patio by the pool and the very pleasant outdoor temperature that evening after a nice rain. We were seated near the door where the pianist was playing nice music inside that allowed us to enjoy it. Giorgio's HRW 3 course dinner this year was $39 and I ordered the Burrata Panzanella Salad as my first course followed by Cavatelli Bolognese for the second finishing with the Flourless Chocolate Cake for the third. While waiting we were brought some bread along with trays of peanuts, potato chips and popcorn which was a little unusual but no one complained about free food. I must say that all of my 3 courses were excellent tasting. The Burrata salad had a large serving of the above named cheese with fresh tomatoes, olives and ciabatta bread that was cool in temperature and I could have eaten another serving because it was so good. The pasta bolognese was equally delicious except warm in temperature with the Akaushi beef making a delicious bolognese sauce over the cavatelli. Finally the cake was fresh and full of chocolate flavor with berries and Nutella alongside a scoop of rich vanilla ice cream. This was a perfect finish for what was a fine meal. The outdoor setting was also perfect and one that I wouldn't hesitate to repeat. So why do I only give 4 stars? For some reason not understood by anyone in our party was the fact that this entire experience took us 3 hours from being seated to paying the checks for our 3 course dinners. They didn't appear to be too busy that night so I'm not sure why it took so long. Our group did enjoy our time together and filled it with good conversation but still this dinner should have taken at least 1 hour less. Talking about a slow relaxed pace for dinner....this was a little too slow. I would still be happy to return.

I wasn't sure what to expect based on the name of the restaurant, but essentially their seafood options are spectacular. And it feels like an exclusive club because the decor and service are both very much high class and special. We tried the coconut shrimp as the appetizer and really liked it. It was lightly fried and the shrimp was cooked to perfection - not under and not over. I would highly recommend this one to start. Loved it. If you're looking for a fair-priced meal, they have lots of salad and sandwich options. I tried the salmon poke bowl and it was so delicious. The fish was extremely fresh, and all the flavors blended together really well. It was like a healthy party in my mouth. It was great decision. You wanna splurge a bit and live large like YOLO? You gotta get the crab cake. Now, how good can a crab cake be? Well, if you're paying close to $50 for one crab cake, you better believe it's gonna be freaking awesome. And alas, it was. Best crab cake I've ever had in my life, no joke. And I've tried a lot of crab cakes in my many decades of dining out. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be coming back many times. Enjoy! Quick note on parking - plenty of parking in a huge lot shared by many businesses such as Kenny and Ziggy's. Only annoying part is several sections of the lot are designated for specific businesses, so just look for the signs and be willing to park a little bit further away towards Taco Deli and Bluestone.

Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in quite some time. We had an 8:00 PM reservation but weren't seated until around 8:30 PM. While delays happen and I was willing to overlook that, the experience only went downhill from there. We ordered Palomas to kick off our Friday night. The drinks took quite a while to arrive, and when they did, they were noticeably watered down. I politely mentioned it to our server, who quickly took them back and brought replacements, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the second round was nearly identical to the first. When I brought it up again, instead of acknowledging the feedback, the server responded by saying it was "just not a sugary drink." That completely missed the point. I wasn't expecting a sweet cocktail--I was pointing out that the drinks tasted diluted and poorly made. What bothered me most wasn't the drinks themselves, but how the feedback was handled. I wasn't looking for free drinks or trying to be difficult. I was simply offering honest feedback, and it felt like my opinion was being dismissed rather than heard. Unfortunately, the food didn't redeem the experience. We ordered several dishes to get a good sense of the menu, and most were overwhelmingly salty. The salt overpowered any other flavors to the point that we couldn't finish some of the dishes. The sushi was the best thing we had, but even that lacked the presentation and quality I would expect at this price point. To be fair, the manager did remove the drinks from our bill as a courtesy, and I appreciate that gesture. However, by that point the damage had already been done. A resolution is only effective when guests feel heard and respected throughout the process. Instead, I felt like I had to defend my opinion and justify my feedback before anyone took it seriously. At the end of the day, a restaurant can be trendy, crowded, and beautifully designed, but none of that matters if the food and service don't deliver. Balboa Surf Club has the atmosphere and location, but in my experience it falls short where it matters most. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried it because I had always been curious, but now I know I won't be back and cannot recommend it. If you're looking for a similar concept, I'd recommend Hudson House. The atmosphere is comparable, but the drinks are consistently well-made, the food is much better, and the service has always been far superior.
