    Sliders and truffle fries
    Briann R.

I basically had their "girl dinner". You could get choice of any two of the following: two sliders, 3 chicken nuggets, truffle fries, or something else, . That also came with a signature cocktail for a total of $25. It was good! My signature cocktail was overly sweet, but overall I enjoyed it. The staff was kind and accommodating and the space itself is nicely decorated.

I was invited here for a birthday celebration. We all ordered the Fancy hour meal, which lets you choose two items and a cocktail for $25. It's definitely a great deal and a good way to try multiple menu options at once. The staff was very friendly and even helped set up the birthday cake for us. The restaurant has an upscale atmosphere that feels great for a date night or special celebration. You may even spot a celebrity when you go, we saw a famous comedian while we were there! I will definitely be back for brunch or dinner soon. They have some Jerk lamb chops that I'm dying to try!

"Fancy's truly lives up to its name! The environment is beautifully curated, elegant, and upscale with an effortlessly cool, grown-and-sexy vibe. The cocktails are crafted to perfection, and the light bites are delicious. It's the ultimate spot for an elevated evening out!"

Beware!!! We originally made our reservation when this restaurant was still Albi and didn't realize the management had changed until we received the confirmation. Since we already had plans, we decided to give the new place a try. Our reservation was at 6:45 p.m. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only one or two other tables occupied. Our server, Khloe C., was friendly and let us know Happy Hour was available until 8:00 p.m. The four of us ordered two drinks each and almost every item on the Happy Hour menu. Everything was fine until it was time to pay. Instead of showing us an itemized bill, the handheld payment device went straight to the tip screen. We asked to see the breakdown of the charges before paying, but were told the device couldn't go back. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told, "Even the manager can't make the screen go back." We then asked what made up our total of $272.56. We were told it included food, drinks, and a 20% service charge. When we asked what that service charge was for, no one could give us a clear explanation. We also asked whether it was the server's gratuity, and the answer was no. At that point, it appeared we were expected to pay the 20% service charge and then be prompted to leave an additional tip. Because we couldn't get a clear explanation of the charges, we chose not to add another gratuity. I even apologized to our server, explaining that the unexplained service charge was the reason. The biggest surprise came afterward: our credit card was charged $372.06, approx $100 more than the total we were shown before authorizing payment. We will be contacting the restaurant and disputing the charge with our credit card company. Hopefully this was simply a mistake that can be corrected, but our experience left us very concerned. If you dine here, ask for an itemized receipt and carefully verify the total before completing your payment.

I decided to celebrate the New Year here with my loved ones, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. While the venue itself is beautiful, it was clear they were not prepared for the evening. Our tickets advertised complimentary sushi, champagne, and party favors. No sushi or party favors were ever provided, and we had to walk around just to locate the champagne. As the night was winding down, we were pressured to close out, which felt rushed. When I tapped my card, the total presented was $133, which immediately didn't seem right. I requested an itemized receipt, and it showed a total of $109 -- a number that already included gratuity. I didn't even have to point out the discrepancy; the staff member corrected it himself. This left me with the impression that I was being taken advantage of and assumed to be too intoxicated to notice the overcharge. Overall, the lack of organization and transparency overshadowed what could have been a great New Year's celebration.

    Mr. Rogers hot honey pizza

We ordered the Mr. Rogers pizza and a bottle of Cab Sauvignon. The pizza was delicious and we thought it was cool that it was turkey pepperoni. They have a limited wine menu - the only red wine they had on the menu was a Cab Sav, which was fine. But turns out the red we ordered was an $80 for bottle of Josh.... That is a cheap wine to over price for. Other than the wine debacle, the pizza and the ambience were great. And the music was really good such a vibe. Our waitress is very kind, but she could've checked on us a little more frequently. Otherwise, we really had a great time.

Fancy's is a 3/10... Parking is none existent, Valet is limited to about 15-20 cars max.. street parking is also limited.. literally would have to park 2-3 blocks away... with the strict dress code in place requiring you to wear heels this is not ideal! best option is to uber there.. terrible location for a restaurant in my opinion! menu so not fancy, literally mediocre.. nothing comes with sides... matter of fact there is no side.. who sells lamb chops by themselves??? highly disappointed please get fancy with the food! The name does not match the menu. I rated it a 3/10 because the waiter was super sweet. I won't be back though. I wouldn't recommend this for a special event, parking will frustrate your guests. I literally left and ubered back, had it not been my friend's birthday I wouldn't have returned.

Fancy's has the best happy hour food, drinks and hours! It's decorated just like the name FANCY! I stopped in with my husband for a date night and we had a good time. Bartender Emmer was great! She made the best drinks! We got the burgers, fries and oysters which were all good. I am definitely coming back for my birthday happy hour with the girls!

We had an event here for Houston Millennials at Fancy's. I think that they Did a great job for what the restaurant used to be. The servers were kind and respectful. And we had a lot going on that day! It was an award show they had the most patience ever for us! LOL Yeah that was a success I think mainly because of the staff. They really pulled it together. Parking was pretty simple because you can always utilize the parking lot across the street. That came in clutch for real! But the place is beautiful a lot of birth bright and deep reds and blacks and metallics. The appetizers I had were pretty tasty though I didn't indulge in many. Just the basic ones... But the TRUFFLE FRIES were my fav. They use burgundy truffle, parmesan, truffle oil, fresh herbs, and pecorino romano aioli. You can taste every single element and the flavors come together beautifully. I want to come on a day that is not super special so I can try a little bit more on the menu and not worry about how I look in my outfit! Lol. Time to unbuckle some belts next time! Until then...

I've heard nothing but rave reviews about Fancy's, along with a very specific warning: Wednesday is the best night after 8 and make a reservation unless you enjoy standing in lines for sport. Parking is valet but I can't tell you the price because we took a ride share. The line was definitely there. My friend made a call because I don't wait, and I wasn't about to start that hobby tonight. It pays to know people. Fancy's itself is adorable: low lighting, music that matches the vibe perfectly, plenty of indoor tables, large bar in the middle, plus a cozy outdoor area with a bar and heaters so you can pretend Houston has seasons. My drink, Forbidden Love, was strong enough to make me feel something but not strong enough to make me question my life choices. The 3 Woodford Reserves on the rocks had zero complaints, so I assumed it was made right. We didn't try the food, but they offer small bites and sushi rolls. Overall, I'd definitely come back preferably with the same friend who makes the phone calls.

Love this bar!! They have great service and amazing cocktails. Be sure to consult your bartend for recommendations. The workers are super friendly and work quickly. I'd highly recommended this place to anyone looking for good vibes and good drinks. Thank you to Fancy's for hosting our Bookclubs meeting. Cheers!

Hamachi Skewers - tasty but not for $20!

Very beautiful esthetics. Delicious drinks. Good service. Overly priced food for the portion sizes.

My review for this place is currently indifferent. I've been twice once was randomly a special event for a wine release. The entire vineyard was not meant to know but I was able to mingle with some of the people there for the event. I observed specialty menu items.Orders and drinks specific to the event that I was able to partake in that were very good. The hospitality that night seemed to be on point. Meanwhile, I went on a Wednesday evening once before that had a great DJ and grapevine, but it seems like they were not ready for the crowd.\nThey were extremely long lines at the bar , so I ended up getting a table just to order a drink. After waiting about an hour I was getting up from the table to try the bar again when my drink came. The waitress did apologize, but she said all of the drinks were essentially coming from the bar.So I was waiting behind the backup line of people at the bar and everyone else who let order drinks at tables. I decided I wanted to order food but they were within one hour of closing , and I was advised that I might not get my food until close to closing , and it may not be worth it. I think this adjustment could be nicer if they had enough employees to manage the crowd. Id give it one more try.

I trust they get alot of business for people wanting to enjoy drinks before dinner. The upstairs bar, is a more intimate space, with mostly bar seating, to those wanting air conditioner with their cocktails, lol. Drinks - I started with the Daiq-quila, and it was a good start, wonderful on a summer day. Next I had the the Brenners Signature Marg which was fine. My friend really enjoyed her $$ martini. Service - was fine. Had a slight mishap with the bill, but our young strapping server got it straightened out. Worth it, if coming for happy hour, otherwise it's a pretty penny for simple drinks you could really have anywhere for cheaper.

They also have a very spacious second space outside on the large, beautiful patio overlooking the well manicured landscape of the surrounding bayou. Myself and a few people from my group arrived a little early for dinner at Brenner's and decided to have a cocktail while waiting. The inside bar is small, but intimate. There is some seating around the neon lit bar and some high top tables around. We didn't have a whole lot of interaction with the bartender, but he was pleasant and made a solid drink. My drink of choice was a Brenner's Old Fashioned. It was happy hour and there were drink and light bite specials. My drink was properly made and dressed and was a tad bit on the strong side. For the happy hour price, not a bad drink. As expected at a fine dining place like Brenner's, regular price drinks can be spendy. Overall, it was a nice option to have a place to sit and enjoy a drink before or after dinner. I think I would even come back to enjoy the outdoor space which seemed like a little oasis in the middle of the city.

$200 to Get Cancelled On: A Masterclass in Hospitality…read more We had reservations for the 6:00 p.m. cocktail tasting in the Arc Room and were required to pre-pay $200--because nothing says "relaxing evening" like a firm financial commitment. Naturally, if we hadn't shown, we would have been charged in full. However, when we arrived right on time, we were informed the event had been canceled. Apparently, a text was sent. Equally apparently, none of us received it--nor did at least three other couples standing there having the exact same delightful surprise. The double standard was...impressive. The hostess was apologetic but clearly overwhelmed and not exactly presentation-ready (stained shirt, visibly frazzled), which didn't inspire much confidence that this was an isolated hiccup. The proposed solution was to seat us in the bar--with the added charm of a strict "out by 8:00" timeline. A bold recovery strategy for canceling a prepaid experience at the last minute. We ordered the Clarkwood gin and tonic and a lychee martini--both recommended--along with a charcuterie board. Neither drink made it to the finish line. The martini leaned aggressively sweet, and the gin and tonic featured fruit-infused ice that sounded creative but tasted...confused. It also arrived in a shade of neon blue that felt less "craft cocktail" and more "science experiment." The charcuterie board was, somehow, the standout disappointment. The almonds were oily, the meat had those telltale dried edges of something that's been sitting out too long, and the accompaniments included what appeared to be Wheat Thins and plain animal crackers. It was an unexpectedly nostalgic trip to a child's snack drawer--just not one anyone asked for. Overall, this might pass as a novelty stop for a 21 run looking for something flashy, but between canceling prepaid reservations, questionable communication, and execution that missed the mark at every turn, it's difficult to find a compelling reason to return.
