Cecile's knowledge and helpfulness is above everyone we have seen!!! The price was way lower then everyone else

I rarely write reviews, but this place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We went in fully aware this was more of a self-serve warehouse which was fine. We've been remodeling our home ourselves and knew exactly what we needed. When we asked for help with how to purchase, Cecilia assisted us and she was wonderful-- professional, kind, and attentive. We even tipped her because she took the time to help us. The issue was with the owner. After negotiating on some remnants (which they end up crushing and throwing away anyway), we asked if the pieces came with backsplash. The owner said no & that was fine, we understood and didn't push back. As we were purchasing, we then asked if they offered a military discount. The owner said no, which we accepted. But out of nowhere, he went on a power trip and kicked my family out. To be clear, we had already left once to get cash from an ATM after the negotiation, so it's not like we were wasting anyone's time. There was no argument, no confrontation, no back-and-forth--just the owner rudely told us to leave. Sadly, after reading other reviews, it seems this behavior is a recurring pattern. The owner clearly gets satisfaction from kicking people out, and we became just another example as to why you should take your business elsewhere. Bottom line: Cecilia deserves praise, but the owner's attitude and complete lack of respect was a first for us as customers. We did nothing wrong except ask reasonable questions about our purchase, and for that we were treated poorly, our time was wasted, and we were asked to leave which was bizarre. read more

Customer service is horrible. They do sell a decent product. Cabinet installation is ok, but granite install is not good.

Do NOT come here! Especially if you're not a contractor. Our contractor sent me later in the day to pick up 4 boxes of flooring I got here at 3:50pm and when I finally go up to someone after waiting for more than 30 minutes, he tells me I can't pick up because the warehouse closes at 4pm. Nowhere does it say they close it at 4pm. And the whole time I was waiting with my 2 kids, he was playing with his phone at his desk, twirling his fkn thumbs not trying to help me. read more

I'm a general contractor and been buying countertops from h cabinet for many years. Sending all my clients there. I'm no longer buying or sending my clients there. They started to sell the junk that no one else wants. I've bought slabs that are damaged and when you store a slab outside, and it's not covered. The epoxy turns yellow. Also the stones. Been having problems with that. Go doe the street to kd cabinet and stone. Been shopping for cabinets for many years. They never let me down. Stone is covered and comes in wrapped. Never had a problem. You pay for what you get. So kd is a few more bucks, but it's worth it. read more

Someone had told us to check this place out and I was hesitant after reading reviews. But the person we worked with was nothing but helpful, friendly, and kind. Cecelia helped us from start to finish. She made the rendering, helped with layout, helped us with the countertops and I never felt uncomfortable asking her questions because she was so nice. She mentioned if there's any issue or if you want to make changes - you can exchange or return any cabinet as long as it has not been assembled & installed. When we were unboxing the cabinets at home, one door was dented so we brought the dented piece back and they exchanged it for a new one. In conclusion. I don't know about the other people there but I'd highly recommend working with Cecelia. read more

I went through an extensive remodel at my house and was referred to H Cabinet for my countertops which turned out amazing. There was enough selection to give me plenty of choices without being overwhelmed. The price was reasonable and much lower than the big box stores. Eric, the independent countertop fabricator, was awesome (not with H Cabinet but a regular customer of H Cabinet.) I don't want to add his phone number here without his permission. My husband is a real estate appraiser who works with a lot of flippers, they use the materials from H Cabinet in homes that run the gamut in price ranges so I was confident that the product would be good in our home. More recently I purchased flooring on sale for our guest house through H Cabinet. My contractor assured me that the flooring would work well and that I would like his installers. I went with a more name brand flooring for my larger remodel from a local flooring company in San Marcos. While I initially loved the flooring I chose and thought I was getting a good deal, after purchasing flooring for 3x less and having it installed by Yobani's guys I realize I spent 15K more than I needed to on the big house project. I am already seeing scratches on the more expensive flooring and the company put in two different color moldings which they have not yet fixed. I had a great experience at H Cabinet. I read the reviews and was anxious but I trust my contractor completely. So I gave them a chance. I am so happy that I did. Great customer service. Great quality of products. Great price. My advice for anyone going to H cabinet for the first time is know exactly what you want. Waiting over an hour and fifteen min for them to pull my order . I have been here a few times and always have to spend over an hour to pick up your order once u pay . They don't do in order they do as they please . Expect to spend all day or pay workers all day to wait for them to pull your orderes . . You can't complain you can get no one to help u just have to wait in the hot sun. They need a better system because this one will loose them business . Came in and waited for estimator (James) who was on the phone, two other customers both who were men came in after me and he told me he was going to help them first. I waited 25 minutes for him to help these two other contractors and when he finished I asked James why he was helping people who came in after me and that I felt it was poor and rude customer service. He then stated he wasnt going to help me and to wait again for someone else. No appology and really poor service. Don't know about quality of cabinets, sinks or counter tops as we never got that far. read more

I have purchased countertops for two of my homes here. You really can't beat the price- it's the best you'll find in the area! But if you're looking to have a fun experience picking out materials for your home this is not the place for you! Customer service is horrendous!!! Also, make sure that what your are purchasing is truly what you want because it will take a Christmas miracle for you to be able to return it. We love our quartz countertops! When we walked in, we mulled around and didn't see anyone to help us or greet us. Go with plans. Have an idea of what you want. No hand-holding here. Rep took is right to the section for what we were looking for, and what he recommended. I think it was less 5 minutes and we found our counters. Wrote up the order. Installation set. We had been forewarned about on site fabrication and for sink fixtures and cuts, but it was seamless. Not only did they do our kitchen with no hitches, there was slab leftover and it would replace our primary bath countertop, so they installed that same day for an extra $ but so, so minimal it was crazy! We couldn't be happier and were heading back to do another bath remodel, with new cabinetry too this time! (The demo of the original backsplash in the kitchen was pretty bad, leaving gaps and holes that had to be fixed by backsplash contractor. Removal of existing countertops was without issue.) There is no manager on site to make sure things operating smoothly.. , They are just rude and arrogant people who don't try at all to please. Literally the worst customer service of all times, don't waste your time!!! Your business isn't appreciated here. I bought some cabinets and I have a cracked one and went down there again to replace it and they would literally tell you to wait outside in a very rude way and make you wait a 40-60 minutes when they literally don't have any customers. I went back and got another Cabniet that I needed afterwards for the same project and they gave me the wrong one and I called and asked the clerk and he said "my bad" I went back to swap to the right one and they said you'll have to pay 15% restocking fee!! I said but that's your mistake not mine and I literally drove a full hour for a mistake you guys did. They said we're not here to argue we can give you store credit or 15% restocking fee which one do you want? I took the 15% because I'll never go back there again but I'm reporting them to the BBB. read more

Probably goes without saying (as judged by numerous negative reviews and complaints here), but this place is pretty awful. Customer service is nonexistent. Don't expect the salespeople nor slabyard workers to help with anything. The salespeople don't greet nor make contact. It's as if they are praying internally that you go find another salesperson to "harass". Oh, they do have tacky tip jars in front of each of their desks as if they deserve it or something. My one and only visit here, I was given the wrong information as far as pickup times for the slabs I ordered and paid for. I ended up waiting over five hours to select my slabs and because they were closing, was told to come back the next day to actually pick it up. No courtesy or accommodations made for a first time customer placing a large order. The next day, I ended up exchanging my order and was due a credit. The sales lady shorted me by over 50% on my credit and when I informed her, she acted dumb and made it look like it was a mistake. Don't come here if you expect to be treated like a customer rather than just a number. read more

After reading the reviews I walked in not expecting to purchase our kitchen and flooring here because we had so many questions. We walked in looked around and approached the estimator Teddy and he did not disappoint. He was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, we ordered our kitchen, flooring, bathroom, vanity, and sink as well as all of our hardware needed. The price was incredible and are very happy they had everything we needed in stock and will be able to finish our project. From bad to worse. My brand new recording studio suffered a setback from a vendor caused water leak. I lost my kitchen and bathroom and the floor of my piano room. After coming down here to replace my cabinets and countertop I will not be coming back. I understand given the rock bottom pricing how these guys don't have time to deal with high maintenance customers but one would assume when paying for a countertop they would at least let the customer pick thru the myriad of damaged tops that have been sitting out in the weather for God knows how long. After waiting in line for an hour and watching them load the wrong tops into our truck, I pointed them to the ones I paid for. After loading the first one I asked the 'worker' to help me shuffle thru the remaining six tops (which he'd have to do anyways to get to the extra backsplash we'd need) to find a good left - right match and he literally said 'no'. I've never had a service oriented company flat out say 'no' to a reasonable request. I paid my money, now I want to pick my countertops. The answer was still, 'no'. After I told the worker in Spanish 'yes' about four times he walked away and refused to help. At that point I walked inside and demanded a refund and left. I get it. My review means nothing to these guys. But In this day and age I cannot understand why a company would be so callous to a reasonable customer request. But as the old saying goes you get what you pay for. They may have Uber cheap countertops but unless you're looking for a ton of attitude, a cracked top and a general 'I don't give a shit' demeanor I'd spend the extra $200 and shop elsewhere. read more

I tried to call, no answer. I went to the fist office in Miramar, and after waiting for 20 minutes they referred me to the Scripps Ranch location. At Scripps Ranch they would not speak with me until I basically tried to tap them on the shoulder. They had the replacement sink I needed there but would not sell it to me. When I asked if I could place an order, or leave my name they said no without even making eye contact. It's hard to believe that they have a tip jar on their desk, and even harder to believe that people actually like their service and give them tips. After reading the reviews, I recognized that the issues we were having with our floors are similar to other peoples (splitting and cracking). And, that some other peoples sinks were breaking. Their pricing is so good on some items, the customer care just doesn't have to be there to compete. They will never answer their phone or emails. Don't expect smiles and too much courtesy. It's more like a warehouse with some very disinterested staff. Don't take it personally. You will have to drive there, pick out what you want, pay and have your handyman scheduled to pick it up. I got two 9x3 natural stone countertops at an unbelievable clearance price. It's for a rental and it turned out beautifully! The quality of the sinks was just not there so I went elsewhere for that. We were recommended this place by our contractor who said they are quick, efficient and will make us a design for free. We arrived to the store and there is easy parking outside. We went inside and tried to get into the line to get helped. Slightly confusing how they go in order, but it all worked out and were helped within 15 minutes of arriving. The store/showroom has different designs that you can choose from. I would not say it is a huge selection, but had the basics that would appeal to most people. You could tell the quality might not be top notch, so I would put this more on the low-mid budget cabinet range if that is what you are looking for. The design expert was extremely helpful and whipped us up two different designs that were perfectly to scale of our kitchen (you should bring measurements with you, or if not they can guess based on photos using standard kitchen sizes). The designs were exactly what we were looking for. We ended up not getting the cabinets (yet), but from the quote, their prices cannot be beat! You get what you are paying for, but this was 1/3 of the price of some of the other places we were quoted. read more
