We needed some lunch after landing in Orlando, and found this spot not too far from the airport. The interior is spacious enough, but kind of had that icky feeling like it needs a good cleaning. We ordered a beef shawarma sandwich and chicken shawarma sandwich with a side of spicy potatoes. The beef shawarma sandwich was pretty good, but the chicken had a bit of mushy texture. Wanted to try something different. My wife tried the one on Hiwassee and said it was really good. So since we live near the one by the airport we thought we would give it a try. For one I walked to the counter to pick up my food. There was one person eating and one person behind the counter with my order ready for pick up. It took about 5 minutes before he said one word mind you after I said hello I'm here for pick up. No greetings just hands hands me my food and I say have a wonderful evening. Still nothing! I have visited this location today and it seems like the service is declining. My husband and I bought a 1 chicken shawarma and 1 beef shawarma with 2 sides of fries and 2 drinks. The beef shawarma was fairly large but the chicken shawarma wasn't as large and didn't have the same amount of toppings. The fries were plain... not even salt.. I have to say, having not been here for awhile, their food, while quite good before, has gotten even better. The baba ghanoush is very good, nice and smoky. The chicken shawarma is moist, with crispy ends. It was all really good. I only knock a star off for lack of drink choices. They only have canned soda or bottle water. I found this location using yelp. We were at home goods and wanted a late lunch but didn't want any of the chain places. I rattled off the choices and my daughter chose Lebanese food. The restaurant is in a hard to get to plaza right off Semoran. The restaurant is attractive with all the food visible in a cold case, while the meat roasts behind it. The counter people were nice. I chose the chicken shawarma which came with 3 sides and nice warm pita bread. I chose tabouli , hummus and baba ghanoush. What can I say, I really like dips. Came here with my boo before our flight today, and glad we did. Two meals for about $23.00. The place was empty, but the reviews are awesome on Yelp!, so we decided to give it a try. Inside was clean. One man behind the counter. He took our orders and prepped and made our meals. We both had the sandwich combo, which comes with a side and a fountain drink. I got the falafel sandwich and my boo had the mixed shwarma sandwich. We were both happy with our choosings. The sandwiches are more like lavash wraps, but that's what makes them soooo delicious and easy to handle. I had the tabouli salad, which was different tasting than what I'm accustomed to. It was more parsley and lemon. Less couscous and no onion and few tomatoes. My boo enjoyed the cucumber salad. I had a Sprite and my boo drank some Fanta. Definitely recommend this for a quick bite before your journey, or if you're in the area... Enjoy a nice meal whenever! They also have platters which come with two (or was it three(?)) sides and a drink. If you're starving; didn't eat all day, or plan on sharing, that might be a better choice. The bathrooms are at the back left of the corridor. I went to the ladies room. It was decent and clean. The toilet doesn't flush well. You really have to push the lever down hard to get it to flush. There's a nice tall trash bin for any feminine products or used paper towels. Yay, no touching yucky push bins! The only negative of the bathroom was that the light switch wasn't easy to find to flick on, and no hook for personal belongings. Had the most amazing falafel sandwich here on the way out of Orlando Airport. Service was okay, nothing exceptional. The place was empty so not much to say about ambiance. This is a phenomenal place. I got the meat combo platter with rice with lentils, hummus & spicy potatoes. My co worker got the chicken with yellow rice, hummus & fries. Both were fabulous. They add a garlic paste/sauce on the side and it's drizzled with a yogurty garlicly sauce. I also asked for the hot sauce on the side. All three were delicious and I would have loved to have a cup size portion of all three of those sauces. It also came with a warmed pita bread. The hummus is some of the best I've had. We eat a lot hummus in our family: aldi, Costco, sabra and of all the brands we've eaten this was the best I've had. A few things: 1. This place is pretty pricey for a sit down casual. The platter I got was $14.99. It was quite a bit of food & person who doesn't eat a ton, you could split this with another person and be fine. 2. The lamb is certified halal from New Zealand. So if that's important to you that is covered. 3. If you want extra sauces that is extra, which is a shame, they put some on but I love sauce and could have easily had double of what they gave. I did come here to get something to take out. One of my items was not included so I had to return to get it. It was not worth the return trip. The food is ok. It's not great, it's not terrible, it's just ok. I've had plenty of Mediterranean and Lebanese food and you can go to better places. Even though the menu description did not say it had cucumbers, it did. So that was gross because I don't like cucumbers and I picked that one on menu because I didn't want any! I hope so. Not including ingredients/using the same salad mix for every thing is not good. So once I got over the huge cucumber mishap, I realized that the lettuce was going bad. Flies, roach and old food... I got 2 different types of fries. The battered fries seemed refried while the crinkle cut were fresh. Must be because I ordered first as everyone else in my large party received fresh crinkle cut. Falafels were hard and I wasn't expecting curry in my garlic potatoes. I would never go back or recommend this to my friends. There were flies on the open food and a roach crawling around the floor.
