I absolutely love this restaurant. The service here is consistently phenomenal, but one standout is Ash. He brings such a cool, upbeat energy every time we visit, always cheerful, attentive, and quick with a joke if things are running a bit behind. It never feels forced, just genuinely great service. My wife absolutely adores him, and honestly, his parents should be proud, they have raised someone who clearly knows how to treat people well. We need a million Ash's to make hospitality stand out in every restaurant. Kudos to the management for hiring such great staff. And the food definitely holds its own, highly recommend the BLT and the cauliflower wings, both are delicious . read more

Went on a Friday at noon. The restaurant was empty with just a few people at the bar. Was greeted and seated right away. They have a huge menu so the waiter gave us time to look it over and brought waters. My mom ordered the French dip, it was loaded with meat on large roll. She could only finish on half and took the rest for her evening meal. 5/5 I had the fish and chips. I asked for double coleslaw and hold the fry's, I just took a few fry's from my mom's plate. Coleslaw was great. Fish was a little overcooked and the bottom side of the batter accumulated a lot of oil so it was mushy. Good place to grab a bite. I did not enjoy the beef in my sandwich (French dip or something) but my husbands chicken club was good. Our waitress was excellent! I forgot her name but she was older and like the old school waitress. Nothing phases her, she took her time, wasn't rushed... she was so good I told the manager to give her a raise! We decided to give the Taphouse a shot now that it's under new ownership. I must say it was pretty good! We walked in and were greeted and seated right away. The place was clean too. Our waitress was very nice, brought us waters immediately. The food was all pretty good too. We had a little of everything, the ghost pepper wings were hot hot! All the fried stuff was hot and crispy just like we like it. And they had a really good selection of beers on tap! Truthfully the only thing that wasn't great was the fish and chip, the batter tasted almost like pancake or corndog batter. But the owner himself came out and basically agreed with me that something was off about the batter in his opinion too, apologized, offered me anything else off the menu, and took it off the bill. I'd been wanting to come back and try this place after the owner change. Cool neighborhood spot to grab a drink and a bite. I like the outdoor seating with the fountain to drown out the freeway noise. The bar area is a cool to grab a seat and chat with other patrons. The service is good. Our server Vicki was doing the best she could taking care of several tables and the bar, but was attentive and nice. The food was the let down. It wasn't nad...but wasn't good either. I ordered the combo pizza and I was underwhelmed. Very reminiscent of bowling alley pizza or DiGiorno. My sis had the jalapeño burger and wasn't excited about it. All in all a decently place. Must have a new cook because both my husband and I have ordered the same dish before but this time it was very good. I wanted a small pepperoni pizza with mushrooms, the sauce was not very flavorful. My husband ordered the meatloaf it comes with mashed potatoes & veggies, he's ordered this 3 times prior. The veggies were sautéed like you would for fajitas, the meatloaf was burnt on the edges. Giving this place the benefit of the doubt since they're still new, but there were definitely some bumps. Let's start with the menu situation. Our physical menus had missing entrée descriptions and inconsistent pricing [mine said one thing, my husband's said another]. They did offer a QR code to view the menu online, but it led to a broken link. After some Googling and digging, we finally found the actual website... only to realize that the online menu didn't match the one in the restaurant. Pictures were misleading, descriptions were off, and prices didn't line up. It felt like a guessing game just to order. Suggestion: laminate the menus or print higher quality versions that can be wiped clean and updated easily. First impressions matter. Now on to the drinks. I ordered the Mexican Candy cocktail, which was just okay. For sure a fun name, but it lacked a little punch. My husband had the Lagunitas Beast of Both Worlds IPA and enjoyed it. For food, we went with the California Burger and the Grilled Salmon. The burger was... okay, but the avocado looked a little sad and definitely not fresh. The salmon, however, was a pleasant surprise nicely cooked and the mashed potatoes were actually very good. Probably the best part of the meal. Overall? We finally got over to Antioch Taphouse for dinner. It's been several months since a new owner took over. We're sorry it took so long. The inside is still very spacious with lots of TVs to accommodate all the sports fans. They were nice enough to change one to the Giants game for me. It was whiskey and Wings Wednesday, so I felt obligated to try. I got a Jamison Sour and wings. Parmesan Garlic and Sweet and Spicy. Both very good. My wife had a Cobb salad. The food was good and our waiter, Ash was wonderful. His personality was infectious and delightful. He even asked for feedback at the end. That was unprecedented in a server. read more

We walked in but didn't see anything at the front. Waited a few minutes until someone finally saw us and walked us to a table. Our server was nice, I forgot her name but she was Latina. We ordered and waited for our food. The table and walls weren't too clean. I can see spots and grease on the side of the booth and windows had fingerprints. The food was good. I had the California burger, protein style/lettuce wrap. It was juicy. My man enjoyed his meal, I forgot what he ordered. Overall, It was ok. We stopped by for lunch with the kids. They have a long list of whiskeys, tequilas, and a great selection of beer. The food menu is pretty comprehensive, too. But if it wasnt for Miss Jenna we would not be coming back, especially now that Bri isnt there anymore, those two were 2 peas in a pod & it was so fun to watch them together. First the good. My order of chicken marsala came piping hot and totally delicious. The portions were large enough for 2 meals. Now the bad. Apparently they do not have enough staff for such a large place. I stood at the front podium for a number of minutes, with one waitress walking by before I was seated by a gentleman who most likely is the manager or owner of the restaurant. Waited even longer before the gentleman came to take my order. He did not seem to know the menu well and tried to charge me an extra $2 for vegetables with my meal. I had to correct hime I walked in at around 7:30 p.m. and was finally fed at close to 8 p.m. To me that wait time is a bit long. I ordered the Whole Meat Pizza, and let me tell you--it came out piping hot, loaded with a generous mix of meats. The flavor instantly reminded me of Round Table Pizza, which has always been my go-to. Honestly, this was on par with Round Table--and at a slightly better price! The server was incredibly friendly and attentive, answering all our questions with a smile and making sure we were well taken care of throughout the night. The ambience had a chill, slightly dimmed vibe that felt cozy and inviting. There was live music and karaoke going on, which added a really fun and lively energy to the evening. In a world that's constantly on the go, it was refreshing to kick back, enjoy good food, good music, and just be present. This is the second time I've came in for dinner. I don't like to review on my first visit. And most of the time, not on my second, but this place was so good. Everything was delicious. The Pizza was homemade, steak was delicious. Jenna, our server was so sweet, polite and a great server.. The restaurants clean everybody's nice. It's got a great atmosphere and a killer bar. Sliders a must! Pizza, delicious! We have not been back to this location since it was Hillcrest Taphouse. We decided to give it a try now that it's Antioch Taphouse and we are so glad we did! Stephanie was our server and she was delightful! She was attentive and very sweet. We had the sliders, which are an awesome deal. 4 sliders total, 2 of each choice from a variety, with fries! We also had a regular burger a large margarita pizza and started with the calamari appetizer. The calamari was crispy and it included some bellpepper strips and onion strips. The sliders were very good, cooked perfectly. The buns used were standard slider buns. Especially being that it was 4 of them, it was plenty of food. The pizza was good and you could taste the quality ingredients. My husband got a beer, which he enjoyed and we got a happy hour price on it! Overall, we enjoyed it. Yes, their menu had a couple of inconsistencies, but we asked the waitress and she clarified. They are just starting out, so we will be back and if their food is consistent, I can see it being a regular place for us. Also, a big plus was that it wasn't as loud as it used to be in there when it was Hillcrest Taphouse. We were actually able to hear each other speak. They kept some of the same decor and seating. We've been here a couple times since they switched over from Hillcrest Taphouse. We came for lunch this time. Few people at the bar and a few table were taken. The waitress was very friendly. I had the BBQ Chicken wrap and my husband had the French Dip. I tried to order the chicken noodle soup but they didn't have any. We both enjoyed our food! Only thing is, we wish the menu included a description of each item. A lot of crossed off items or corrections on the menu. Maybe an updated menu would be helpful. We will be back though! read more

First time here. I'm sad the old place is gone, but the new place is great! I had a burger and fries and they were excellent. Very tasty and cooked correctly. The staff is friendly and attentive, although some are a bit young and inexperienced. ;-) The interior is mostly the same as before - nice and inviting.
