My favorite fastfood has new items on the menu. I tried the sweet and spicy korean char. Perfect blend of sweet/savorite /spicy. Went to pick up a Mobil order. The parking lot is shared with other businesses. It's small and was full. Was able to get a spot though. From what I saw the restaurant was clean on the outside and inside. While I was there it was busy but not crowded or loud. The customer service wasn't bad either. My order was ready for me to pick up. As soon as the older gentleman at the register was done taking the customer's order, he then acknowledged me at the pick up station. This location is such a gem--especially since it's only a five-minute walk from my job! With my one-hour lunch break, convenience matters, and The Habit in La Palma really delivers. I ordered a kid's meal online because I was craving their sweet potato fries, and by the time I walked over, they were just finishing up my order. Everything was fresh, hot, and perfectly timed. The service was super speedy, which I appreciate so much on a lunch break. I ate out on the patio, enjoyed some sunshine and vitamin D now that the rain finally stopped, and still had plenty of time to walk back to work without feeling rushed. After I already paid 65 cents for the side of ranch that they won't even give you 1 of with your meal, she then said that I needed to pay $1.10 but the issue is that the wrap should've had it to begin with. So why would I pay more for what was messed up by your cook. She said she just "works there" and follows habit policy. As a leader myself, easy way to take care of the customer would be to take care of the meal you messed up and apologize with a side of Thanks for ruining the meal that my husband and I got to enjoy without our kids which we never get to do. **Do NOT eat here** Horrible experience this evening. I ordered a caesar wrap. When I took a bite of the wrap I literally didn't taste any ceasar dressing and upon further inspection, the wrap was dry. I complained about it to the manager LEXIE. Never have I experienced this level of customer service. LEXIE has zero leadership skills. Literally turned around and asked her cook about the dressing. She then turned to me and said "I'm not gonna call him a liar." Instead of just giving me a small bit of dressing to remedy the situation. Shame on you Habit for training your staff in this manner. 100 minus One of the Worst Restaurant Experiences of My Life Last night around 7:00 PM, I visited The Habit Burger Grill in Buena Park on Orangethorpe, and unfortunately it was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. When I arrived, I politely greeted the employee at the counter with "Happy Holidays" and placed a very simple order: a chicken sandwich with no butter, no grease, no mayonnaise -- completely dry. Despite clearly explaining this, I was served a sandwich loaded with grease, butter, and mayonnaise. I honestly don't know if this was done intentionally or due to a complete lack of understanding of basic English, but it was unacceptable. I also ordered French fries, which arrived cold, as if they had been sitting out for a long time. I politely returned them and asked for a fresh order. What I received instead were refried French fries, which is clearly visible in the photo I am posting. This is completely unacceptable from any restaurant, let alone a well-known chain. To make matters worse, the entire restaurant was filthy. The bathroom was extremely dirty, there were no paper towels, and overall the place appeared neglected and unsanitary. This experience reflects ignorance, negligence, and poor management. I will never return to this location, and I truly hope this review reaches management so they can see how badly this place is being run and take immediate corrective action before it continues to deteriorate further. I had a 20% off deal on the Habit Burger app, and I figured why not use it? It had been a while since I'd gotten one, which used to be once a week, but now it seems more like once a month. There are a few Habit Burger locations closer to me, but I chose this one in Buena Park. Why? I wanted to stop by Chick-fil-A as well, and there was a Chick-fil-A literally right next to Habit Burger in Buena Park! Yeah, the Habit Burger in Cerritos has a Chick-fil-A nearby as well, but it's on the other side of 183rd. The Habit Burger and Chick-fil-A by the traffic circle are also pretty close to one another, but I'm avoiding that Habit Burger like the Bubonic Plague. This Habit Burger is literally right off the 91 and is pretty easy to get into whether you're traveling east or west on the freeway. If you're traveling eastbound, get off at Orangethorpe; if heading west, get off at Valley View. Habit Burger is on the southwest corner of those two streets, which could be viewed as the legs of a right triangle if you consider the 91 as the hypotenuse. There are three order kiosks to the left as soon as you walk through the front door, but when I entered, there wasn't a line in front of the cashier, so I stepped up to the cashier to place my order. I wanted the Santa Barbara Char since my co-worker mentioned he got that for lunch that morning, and it had been a while since I had gotten one. Scanning my 20% off barcode wasn't an issue, but using my gift card was a bit of a hassle. The cashier had to call her co-worker over, and even then, it still took a while for them to make it work. After placing my order, the cashier handed me a buzzer, which sounded only about 5 minutes after I placed my order. I was surprised at the rather short wait because at any other location, I would have had to wait at least double that time, so I was pleasantly surprised. However, I did have a bad feeling that the burger would be hastily made and not taste good. Luckily, neither was the case here! I ordered "for here", so when my buzzer went off, I saw my Santa Barbara char on top of a paper placemat lying on a tray. The charburger is served on sourdough bread and cut in half, with a toothpick running through each half. The burger looked more like a sandwich since, like I said, it's served on sourdough. At first, it did look a little small because of how (not so) wide it looked, but it was a pretty deep burger full of patties and all the extras a burger should have. And it was pretty good, especially given that it took only 5 minutes to make! Not spectacular good since it wasn't *that* much better than an ordinary Charburger with Cheese, but good enough to make me satisfied! The bread was nicely toasted, and it married well with the rest of the burger. I do want to comment on the small mustard packets. They were a little smaller than what I'm used to, and I thought one would have been enough. After finishing the first half of my Santa Barbara Char, I had to get another packet of mustard for the second half. They were also kind of hard to open. Parking shouldn't be an issue here even though the immediate lot in front isn't that spacious. There's more parking in the back, right next to the freeway. However, it might be a challenge to get out if you park in front of the front door with a steady flow of traffic entering and exiting the plaza. There is a fair amount of seating inside, but I wouldn't say a whole lot compared to their counterparts. However, there's a nicely sized outdoor patio right in front for those who prefer al fresco dining. I ate inside, and I got to enjoy listening to some nice tunes while devouring my burger. The music is played at a comfortable listening level. Not too soft, and not too loud, just the way I like it. However, I didn't like how an unattended table had some napkins on it. Nobody bothered to pick them up? Cleanup could use a little work there. Was it the best burger I've ever had? No. Was I expecting it to be? No. Was it a good burger that I'd recommend to others? Yes! I stopped by a second time to redeem the FRYDAY offer of free fries with a $1+ purchase. For this offer, you had to enter the code FRYDAY in the app, and then you'd get that offer, good for one week. However, when I tried to redeem this offer, I was initially told it would only work that day, which is blatantly untrue; otherwise, my offer wouldn't have shown up at all! Luckily, a team member heard me out and instructed the cashier to honor my coupon code. If not for that team member, I would have been real unhappy and dropped the rating. For my $1+ purchase, I went with the Veggie Burger, which wasn't bad overall, but I would prefer the Original Impossible instead. The fries were well-cooked, but they weren't seasoned. I had to ask for ketchup packets upon picking up my order. Overall, a decent Habit Burger to go to. I'll stop by again next time I'm craving a burger while cruising along the 91. read more

This location has a new menu for salads and I have ordered the Santa Barbara. Serve it as advertised. Now they are simply ripping customers off instead of adding the correct portion, they are only giving a half of an egg which is supposed to be a 1 full egg split in half . They are not letting customers know prior to the purchase. They are simply just ripping us customers off. This has happened to me three times I finally said something to the cashier that took my order. Her excuse was that they are short on eggs. Instead of giving me what I payed for she offered to give me extra avocado I explained that this has happened now more than once and every single time I paid full price for the salad that is not being sold as advertised ! I have now complained to the Better Business Bureau By the way, I also know of someone this has happened too, so I know I'm not the only person experiencing this Why don't they just remove it off the menu if they cannot sell it as advertised Or discounted, but letting customers know upfront Unfortunately, I don't have a photo to share, but hopefully they get this issue resolved. I see the most recent reviews are a bad sign for this Habit location and maybe the Habit overall. We were biweekly customers until today. They have a special right now for a free entree salad with $5 purchase. I have the Habit app because we frequently order prior to pickup so it order is ready. I open the app, view offers and add this special to my order. I then select my Cobb I always get. Everything is there at checkout and I pay. My wife goes to pick up the order and sees a new lil mini me Santa Barbara Cobb and thinks it's the free salad. It wasn't and they're questioning my wife on whether I ordered it correctly. They couldn't fix the order and I no longer have the offer in the app and the app says I never ordered anything. The Habit is killing it and IT is their clientele. read more
