I asked the cashier if they can check on my order #62, and they checked the kitchen. Turns out my hunch was correct, and that the couple behind me took my bag. I didnt make a big deal out of it, and the employee said they will remake my order. After waiting for probably 30 minutes total, they were all they way up to calling orders in the 80s. When they gave me my order #62, the employee gave me 2 free gift cards for the waiting and hassle. Im very glad and appreciative of them for handling it very professionally. We spent the day at Knott's Berry Farm, and rather than have a cruddy dinner at theme park prices, we decided to drive over to the Buena Park In-N-Out for a guaranteed home run. This was my first time at this particular In-N-Out, but I've been to about twenty others and loved every one of them. The Buena Park location was as good as the rest. There was a long line at the drive-thru, but parking was easy and the actual restaurant wasn't that busy. We ordered and had our food within fifteen minutes, probably less time than it would've taken us to get through the drive-thru line. (I have found this to be true at almost every location.) Service was great, as always. In fact, my three-year-old dropped his cheeseburger on the floor after a few bites, and we got it replaced on the house, just like that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The kids also got little In-N-Out sticker activity books to play with, which kept them entertained for minutes at a time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got my usual order, a double double with grilled onions and a heaping side of whole yellow peppers from the condiment stand. Pure deliciousness. My boys got a grilled cheese and a plain cheeseburger, and they both ate well. We got some fries, too, and while I'm not a particular fan of In-N-Out fries, I ate my fair share of them. We went tonight for the first time in this area. The burger in itself was made well, but should be expected from infamous in-n-out. Which is why 3 is satisfactory. It's the service that dinged the two points more me. I understand the drive-thru situation be cray with in-n-out all the time. However, the system for this drive thru made no sense.. They had 3 drive through lines that merges into one line. They have the one employee move the cones, direct the traffic, AND take the order. Made it super slow and took forever because this person would take 3 car's order in row one, then move them through move a cone to stop the traffic. Then go to the second row take the 3 car orders, move them through, and then move a cone. Repeat for row 3. So if you get there and are the third car in row 3, then you have to basically wait 8 cars before you merge. If that doesn't make sense, then I've explained it well because it didn't make sense to me. That just shows how complex the line was. On top of that the guy who took our order was pretty rude. Update: In N Out has been consistent over the years and makes a great burger without the fancy hype. The shakes are fantastic, and I love the fries. The dining area is small compared to other places, but there are also a few outdoor tables. This location will test your patience because of the long line in the drive-thru. But it's not always bad; I've also been in short lines. The drive-thru has a system where the cones and signs are helpful. Only one way to enter the drive-thru is from Valley View Street. If you're dining in, I recommend parking near the Smart and Final lot if the small lot in INO is full. My latest go-to order is a double-single, with whole sliced grilled onion and everything on it, chilies on the side, extra crispy fries, and a root beer or vanilla shake. If I'm feeling the need for low-carb, I'll make it protein-style. I enjoy customizing my burgers to my liking. The main downside is the price increases over the past year. The No.1 Combo now costs over $10. It's a bummer, but I understand it's a part of dealing with inflation. We're all in this together. I don't think I've ever been to an In N Out that I didn't like but this was right at the cusp of aggravating. After making a left at the light we were trying to make a right into the pahking lot and the wait was beyond five (5) minutes and frankly, its a bit dangerous because you're blocking the right had lane with cars whizzing by you. So, with it being so Hard to get into, due to the drive thru backing up, we had to go down the block to enter the adjacent strip mall and park as close as possible to In N Out, in some other establishment's pahking lot. We walked a bit and After crossing the drive thru line of cars, you feel much better until you get into the long line at the register - this place was just full of people. I don't know if a concert or sporting event had just let out or what. But the line went quickly and surprisingly, we got a booth and our food came out quick so it's still a 5 star review. I went from being annoyed to happy and satisfied. Here it goes. On 12/18/25 at about 10:20PM I came here to order food for my family, and am not familiar with this location or how the lanes are allotted. As I approached the drive through, I saw it was crowded and accidentally waited behind a red cone because I could not see there were other overflow lanes in the dark. Isaac (pale male Hispanic, early 20's, skinny, with glossy fingernails) came to my window and told me to "go park in the lane that says wait here" in a condescending attitude, and I gave him a pass because maybe he was having a bad day. He proceeded to turn around and look at his female co worker and smirk while mumbling something under his breath while they looked away from my vehicle. It sounded as if he said "idiot." So Isaac made a huge mistake because I know if he was talking to a stranger like myself, that he would definitely be much worse with somebody meek and passive. Such as your grandmother or relative that doesn't speak English, wife etc. So, Isaac makes another mistake and thought it was a bright idea to take the guy he disrespected's order. I very calmly ordered and told him that I could not see the other cones because it's dark and crowded, other cars were obstructing my vision. And that he should not mumble things under his breathe because I heard him and that is not cool. Isaac makes a huge mistake and thinks it's a bright idea for his in n out career to tell me "if you cannot see then you should not drive" and at that point I had to check this tough guy because I could tell he has never been told anything before about his behavior. So I tell Isaac "Oh for sure!" And have to keep my zen because I do not want to be explosive with somebody who has their own obvious issues and I believe he does not need to be grabbed in order to learn to not insult strangers. He is obviously not a thug or gangster. I could tell Isaac is an unprofessional person who is having a bad day or is maybe a miserable person and should work somewhere else where he does not have contact with the public. Because he is not in control of his emotions, and popping off to strangers (or your wife etc) is very foolhardy. And he will do it to the wrong person and be made a fool in front of the public and cause a great establishment a headache. To be a nice guy, I ask for the manager. He snaps "He is inside!" And I reply for Isaac to use his radio and bring the supervisor outside as to have an adult conversation. Supervisor "Blue" comes outside and he was great, a total professional in control of his emotions and is going to go far in life. He needs a raise. I hope Blue does not get in trouble for supervisory issues because he was great and was not around during Isaac's loss of emotional control. And Blue is not responsible for Isaac's behavior. I never complain at places because everybody has bad days, me included. But in my many years of life this was this biggest exhibition of emotional immaturity at a business and he is taking huge risks talking to strangers like that. Isaac, work on keeping quiet and being patient. And a different job. Called corporate and turned down the free $10 gift card or whatever it is because this was a matter of principle. And for the safety of the meek, he needs to quit. Because he's the type of guy to act like this with people who won't say anything back. This was not a food quality issue or mix up or anything that is very common and normal. Because people make mistakes. But people like Isaac are a cancer to nice places because they ruin everything they touch and cannot control their emotions. Isaac should work somewhere solo, like long haul trucking so that he can just scream at his steering wheel and not ruin other people's day. I am very glad he is not at all physically menacing or train martial arts because if he was he would definitely be a major issue and bully. So he exerts power where he can, in HIS drive through. With HIS iPad. And that's okay because that's how he gets his rush. Probably won't come back here in the future. Or maybe I will when it sounds good. But the food was great and everybody else was super nice. Especially Blue. In n out is a great place. Hence why people like Isaac should be elsewhere. read more

The drive thru line was so long it was almost backed up into the street. I opted to walk in and make my order. Going outside is actually a lot of fun. The location was clean and had that lovely old school diner feel. I feel like a lot of places in Hawaii got rid of the diner vibe, so it was nice to have the experience again. I ordered 8 hamburgers. Seems like a lot, but when you don't get to eat In N Out often, you might as well order that much. The burgers were made to order. Always busy at this location, at the corner of a very busy intersection. The workers do their best taking the drive through orders, but traffic frequently backs up onto the street. Fresh prepared hamburgers made to order: I usually get a single party no cheese with grilled onions plus a side of fries and a small cup of root beer. The fries are best eaten in your car or immediately when you get home! Very vintage looking uniforms are in contrast to the iPads they hold as you give your order. In N Out is always a crowd pleaser! And this location did not disappoint. Food was fresh and tasted great. My only gripe is the long line. But most In N Outs have a crazy long line. I guess it comes with the territory when you want good food. Good food draws in the crowds lol This is part of the deal, I suppose. The line was so long, I was about to eat my arm off lol Was so hungry by the time I got my food. But it was fresh and delicious. I gobbled it down. So can't complain. I feel bad for the people who were behind me. The line just kept growing and growing. The line was seriously weaving through the parking lot and then blocking the entrance from the street. I think they should re-figure the line part. And have it wrap the other way around so that it doesn't block people trying to turn into the parking lot. I ordered my usual go-to's for In N Out. The food for me, was a downgrade all because I only got one extra sauce. I got the single cheeseburger with grilled and raw onions, extra toasted, and animal fries extra crispy. I like all the added crunch with extra sauce which I usually consume about 4. However I only got one. One sauce wasn't even enough for my animal fries (because we know they only put at the top so the middle and bottom fries were bare). So then I didn't even have any for my toasty burger. When I asked for more sauce, the handler at the drive thru stated I already had a sauce in the box. It felt preemptive and suggestive that I should only get that 1 sauce. Do we have to pay for more than 1 extra sauce? Is this the effect of the raised In-N-Out prices and the CEO leaving CA resulting in suggested cost-cutting? I usually have a good experience here both in the drive through and inside the restaurant. The food is always consistently good. Today, I ordered via drive thru and the two young ladies were so busy chatting I was hesitant to ask for ketchup or anything else. I eventually asked for chili peppers and was given one container with two peppers in it. The young girl didn't even let me finish talking and went back to chatting.
