Got my ususal - Santa Barbara cobb (no pickled onions, replace with raw onions, dressing - fuji apple) - Double char with cheese, everything on it, extra pickles, red raw onions (they didn't give much) - Their pepperocini's are the best in all of SoCal!!! Ordered some food from Habit and was sadly disappointed. We never come here and now I remember why. The burgers do not taste good. Their fried sides are fine, but the burger was just not good to me. I could not finish it. The service was great! They have computer order screens for quick order and minimal personal interaction. They have good deals and drinks. Stopped by this Habit Burger after a Walmart and Sprouts run in the same plaza. The plaza is huge so there is plenty of parking, but be careful of one way lanes. There seems to be only one manager on site and some like cooks. No one is available to take orders at the register. All orders are through kiosks, but there were plenty (3). You have to ask for utensils because they are not left out on the counter. Overall all the tables and counter where the drinks and jalapeños are looked clean. I go here often and I am always happy with the service. The quality of the food is always spot on. My favorite things to order from here are: Santa Barbara char, onion rings, chicken nuggets, or the normal cheeseburger. It always seems to be the same guy behind the counter taking orders and calling names out. He's always really nice to everyone. The cooks are quick and season everything perfectly. The store is always clean and there's plenty of seating. With summer coming to an end, sitting outside during the fall might be something we start doing. Got a delivery last night. The dbl hamburger was very messy and one sliver of raw onion, really when no lettuce or tomato ( more expensive) items were ordered. That should have been a clue, because within 30 minutes I am running to the bathroom, with the worst diarrhea I have ever had. Woke up, 3 other times with terrible cramps ! Fantastic experience at this Orange location Habit. Spacious and clean dining room. Worker who took my order was friendly and very helpful. They're currently running a great $6/8/10 combo deal and she took the time to explain all the options since the signage was incomplete. Food arrived hot and tasty. No major complaints. I came here after shopping at Walmart. I wasn't very hungry so I decided to get a kid's meal. One thing I like is that they have two ways to place your order. There is a self checkout kiosk or you can wait in line and order from a cashier. I chose to use the kiosk and it was fairly easy to use. I ordered a kid's cheeseburger meal with fries and a vanilla shake. It took about 10 minutes to get my food which was stated on my receipt. Inside the restaurant there is ample seating. There is seating for large groups and seating for smaller groups. Nice! Now let's talk about the food. The cheeseburger was average. I think it needs pickles and maybe the option to put another dressing on it. The fries were really good and the vanilla shake top tier. I paid $11 bucks for it. It was filling. Love this Habit at night when it's not crowded. Came here on a Tuesday at 12 noon and it took 45 mins to get my dine in order which was bagged to-go. The toasted bread was soggy bcz it was in a container soaking up the condensation from the steam and the other half of my order was missing. Had to wait another extra few mins for it. I don't know if I'd blame poor management or that it was too overwhelming for them but no order should take more than 20 mins to receive let alone 45 & was never told "oh sorry for the wait" or "there's going to be a delay bcz we're busy" The online orders were backing up the dine in orders causing major conflicts. As a DoorDash driver and regular at The Habit Burger (Orange), I've seen my fair share of sloppy service, but this last visit sealed the deal--literally. I asked an employee (headphones in, attention out) if the order was ready. Showed the screen, confirmed the name, counted the items--basic stuff. She nods, hands me a sealed bag. Surprise--wrong order. Sealed bags are great for safety, but they're a gamble when the staff can't be bothered to double-check. Drivers get burned for their laziness while we burn gas trying to make things right. It's unprofessional, careless, and frankly, insulting. I've reported it to DoorDash because this wasn't a one-off. If you're picking up here--stay sharp, double-check, and don't be afraid to call them out. They clearly need the reminder. read more

Today I went to the habit burger at 1500 East Village Way in the city of Orange. I used the key to make my order which was a desert crispy burger, a large fountain, drink order of french fries and order of onion rings.. however I received a regular size drink, cold, french fries cold onion rings and a partially cooked burger that was inedible. Upon pointing this out to the manager, she promptly said, ' I'm ' sorry and then went back to work.. I think at $22.48. I told her that I that this would most probably be my last visit to this location. And she could care less. I am rating it a 1-star only because zero isn't allowed. Not one thing in my order was close to edible. If you're feeling like a habit burger do yourself a favor and don't stop here drive a little further. This place is done and nobody even seems to care!. Wow really bad. Went in excited about getting habit burger. Left not wanting to ever give them money again. It's a hamburger vending machine now. They usually don't have a human person to take your order. Just a bunch of screens with the worst user interface. If you get someone's attention they make you feel like you are wasting their time. I really want Habit Burger to be successful because I honestly love the food. We're super excited that we can eat indoor again but our last during our last visit took 25 minutes to get our food! We almost always order the Superfood Salad but with steak instead of chicken. I know the steak takes longer to cook, but we just had a meal at one of our favorite steak houses and it didn't take them 25 minutes to get our food. My suggestion is, if you can, mobile order a head and give 30 minutes for your food to be made. However, you have to order in person for some substitutions like steak for chicken as the app doesn't subtract the cost of chicken, but they can it in person. (BTW: Steak is 50 cents more than chicken). read more

The sandwiches at Habit are tremendous, at all locations. The Charburger is just about the freshest, tastiest burger around, and the grilled chicken is also wonderful. At this particular location in Orange, the customer service is excellent. They seem happy to have you come in and are very helpful. It is unlike typical fast food establishments. This is my third time to this location and everything they serve is pretty decent. It's consistent and the atmosphere is casual, although the food is a bit more than I want to spend. Service takes a slight bit, but since their food is freshly made I know it's worth it. I'm picky about my fries and onion rings, but these are always fried well with a good amount of crisp. I still prefer the tempura green beans which are halfway between actual tempura and just frying them, but this is not meant to be a Japanese restaurant and it's my favorite alternative to the other two sides.
