This location missed the mark for me. There was hardly any staff when we came and the floors were pretty messy. Our food didn't take too long and tasted fine but a little underwhelming. The seating floor felt a little cramped to me. When we sat down, I noticed our booth had a sort of grimy feel to it. We ended up eating pretty fast just to leave. Retest needed- Was not that impressed with the standard burger but knowledge is power; with some customizing it could probably be quite good. I ordered the standard char burger combo with cheese. Problems with the burger: too much lettuce, too much mayo and no onions??... WTHeck! Onions are Life IMO. Like a good sandwich a good burger is a work of ART(like in-N-Out)as you need the right ingredients and the right amount for your taste. When one or more things is out of whack, you rob the key ingredient, usually the meat(s) of its glory. Customers order on a large tablet so I imagine all this stuff can be tweaked accordingly. 4/24/24. I went here after watching a flick at the nearby AMC theaters and was just pleasantly surprised with the food and service! This is by far the best experience I've had at THBG due to the elevated food quality. 3/30/24. Double Charburger with cheese ($8.59): the beef was well-seasoned, juicy, and plenty. The amount of cheese was also generous and nicely melted. The bun was slightly toasted but still retained its softness, 4.5/5 stars! Tempura Green Beans ($4.49): this was also perfectly cooked. It was seasoned, had a crispy exterior while the green beans were tender, 5/5 stars! The employee at the front that took my order was friendly and provided recommendations. He was right that the original charburger was plenty enough, but I still ordered a double char :) The restaurant was clean and there was plenty of parking. We just beat the dinner rush, as a lined formed after we obtained our order. Winning! read more

Friendly and helpful serving staff, delicious food and great value! We dine at The Habit at least once per month and are never disappointed. Their prices are reasonable compared to places like Chili's or Applebee's, and the food is just as tasty. On this visit, I tried the Tenderloin Sandwich because a friend recommended it. The grilled beef in the sandwich was tender and juicy and was topped with fresh lettuce and tomato. The ciabatta bread was perfectly toasted and not so thick. I'll definitely order this again. One of my favorite items at The Habit is the Tempura Green Beans. The beans are plump and fried in a tempura batter that is enough to coat the beans but not overtake the flavor of the beans. These were delicious and crispy paired with the restaurant's Ranch dressing. A must-try! My husband ordered his favorite Santa Barbara Char and was happy with its flavor and the way it was prepared. For the first time, he requested extra-crispy French fries. Game changer. We will continue our monthly visit as The Habit never disappoints! read more

All the grownups in my house wanted to order Tikka next door, but my little one wasn't feeling it, so I ordered her a kids cheeseburger meal for lunch, and a charburger for later when we were all still in a food coma or had leftovers for dinner. I placed an online order and the food was ready exactly when they said it would be. It was hot, smelled amazing, and my daughter said it was "mmmmm, the best cheeseburger EVER." To be fair, she is extremely optimistic and says that about pretty much everything, but I did steal a bite and it was a pretty darn good cheeseburger. She LOVED how the kids meal came with a little gummy cheeseburger, she thought it was hilarious, so that is a really cute little detail that we liked. I reheated the second burger for her at dinner, and she claims it was also the best cheeseburger ever, so they are good even as leftovers. I also really liked their attention to detail. She definitely likes some toppings added to her burger and some can't even look at it (she is not a fan of pickles...), so the order ticket was very long with "add this, subtract that" and they NAILED it. I definitely appreciate not wasting money on a burger that she can't eat because there is pickle juice on it. She will definitely want to have a burger from here again when the adults eat adult things, so I expect to be back soon. read more

I just ordered curbside at 4pm on 5/22/25, I have a lower car, Camaro, I couldn't pull into the 2 spots left for curbside bc of a curb, so I pulled into the one RIGHT NEXT TO IT. I put I'm here, 20 mins later nothing. I go inside, this guy argues with me that I have to be in the spot, I told him the spots were full, only the one with a curb was left and I couldn't bc my car bumper would get stuck, he then says well it didn't show on the app you're here. I have the text saying they were coming. So which is it?? Rude!! Why not just apologize? Why spend money on food if little boogers are gonna be like that. If I could give this a 2.5 I would. My family and I went here this past Sunday to use a coupon that my son won at school for a free meal. The service was good but food took a long time to make. On top of that, the numbers that they shouted out were not matching the numbers they provided when you originally ordered and the buzzers letting you know your food was ready were not working. We ordered some shakes with our order and did not get them until I walked back to the counter and reminded them. This was my 3rd visit to this location. On the first 2 visits, I chalked it up to "they are new and working out the kinks." Today we walked in and the place was packed with people who had already ordered but hadn't received their food. We walked right up to order, unfortunately we knew there would be a wait. Watching the employees that were there, they were working hard but there just wasn't enough of them. We get it, it's hard with the new wages. Went to the new Habit burger that opened up in Poway recently. Love it when a new place is super clean. Loved the selection available and chose a Portobello Char burger with a side of onion rings. They gave us drink cups and we found a place to sit while our food was being prepared. We picked up our food and I must say my burger was delicious. So much so in fact that it's the first burger that I think about when offered burgers. The onion rings which I was super excited about were way over done. I was a bit disappointed. Very Bad Location. Very Bad Service. They don't even have human beings taking orders anymore. You have to order from a kiosk. And if you have a coupon that was sent to you from The Habit, you won't be able to use it because the kiosk doesn't take coupons. It's especially lousy considering that when California mandated increased wages for fast food workers, The Habit raised their prices significantly, supposedly to cover the increased costs. Turns out it was a con job. They just increased the prices while decreasing their staff to the point where they won't let you order your food from a human being. Food was good but service was not great at counter. Came in about 45 minutes before closing , no one was working the counter so ordered kiosk. Went to counter and asked the person behind the counter for drink cups and milkshakes. She said sorry no milkshakes cause they were already cleaning the machine. When I asked for a refund for the milkshakes she tried hard to offer something else but the kids only wanted the shakes. She said the refund wouldn't get done till later took my name a card info and said to check my account in a few days. Food was good as usual, ice tea drinks were already emptied out so no ice tea. Paris is the most beautiful inside & out young lady that took our order for me & my mom.. I was having trouble choosing our meal on that tablet & Paris immediately came to our rescue. We waited 40 minutes for food there was only a few other orders so not sure why it took so long to receive the food and the employees were noticeably frustrated which is understandable, but that wait time for one salad and green beans was ridiculous. I go here enough times, to know the burgers are good. I think the only thing that does frustrate me, is if I order via there app, I never get my order correct. I do need to start opening my bag to double check everything is right. But sometimes I'm in a rush. So I don't see until I get home. Emailed support about the orders being wrong multiple times.
