We finally stopped by this newly open raising canes. We've passed by several times and there has always been a long line. We went a little after the dinner rush and went through drive thru. There was a small line but it went by pretty quickly. Staff were friendly and food was fresh. When we got home the food was still warm and tasty. The new spot in Poway that literally forced the KFC to close. They are clean and quick. Delicious food that is made fresh and is best enjoyed inside their dining area if you can find a place to do so. I ended up utilizing the drive thru as my son was super hungry and would not have not liked to wait for a seat. There is a patio available but it was definitely a hot one. I enjoyed my chicken fingers which are seriously strips. Crispy and flavorful. The fries were seasoned just right and fried to perfection. I enjoyed the sauces as well. Guzzled my sweet tea which was the best compliment to my meal. My son enjoyed his meal too. Welcome to the neighborhood! I won't hesitate to drop in here again. read more

Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is open in Poway! New, clean, happy staff, amazing chicken fingers, fries, Texas toast and Cane's sauce. Not a fan of coleslaw, but they've got plenty. The interior is decorated with San Diego paraphernalia. There are Padres items, San Diego FC signs, shirts/uniforms from 3 of the Poway Unified High Schools. They're missing Del Norte and Westview, and need to improve the outfit from Poway High. Randomly, they have a uniform from Mt Camel, and that's the farthest high school from this Cane's. They also have things that honor other SD notables like Blink-182 (formed in Poway), A's former GM Billy Beane (used to live in SD), and Tony Gwynn (Padres great). They also have an Elvis painting, like all Cane's do, which memorializes everything Raising Cane's. read more

Although end of an era from KFC across the street, here comes Raising Cane's as the latest addition to Poway. It's not exactly fried chicken but boneless chicken tenders. It's a chain and there are several locations in San Diego. It was my first time and I didn't know what to expect. Drive thru and dining in was busy from grand opening week. They had no shortage of staff and they were available both inside and outside. They were all around high school/college age but very professional and polite. I ordered The Caniac Combo. The combo came w 6 chicken fingers, crinkle cut fries, Texas toast, slaw, two sauces and drink for $18.79. I was really impressed at the quality, size, juiciness and crunchiness. The service was great. The food came out surprisingly quick for how good the food was. It was really nice, especially with the canes sauce. Instead of the two entrances merging to one, they keep you in your lane and will bring you your order to your lane so pick your entrance lane wisely! Raising Cane's is finally open in Poway! The store is situated next to the main street with both a drive-in and a small parking lot available. It's new, clean, lots of friendly staff who welcomes you and are ready to take your order. Prices are good! The only slight complaint is that they have a bar seating area really close by to where you need to order, so the lines will have to branch sideways and could clog up the walk way. But again, that's minor and I'll definitely be back for more yummy chicken fingers! read more

Call me a basic biased white guy, but I haven't meet a raising cane's i haven't liked yet. Food is up to Cane's standards, moist, crispy, and delicious. The staff keeps the place clean and is attentive and helpful. This Cane's even has a Velvet Elvis on the wall. Lol. For a corporate chicken chain Cane's checks all the boxes. read more

The exterior looks great however it would be nice if there was a second exit. Maybe there was and I just don't recall but the drive thru exit getting back on poway being right next to the light can be a bit of a hassle. When I drove through, a girl took my order and I paid outside which was different and requested a name as well. No friendliness or general good customer service. Their speakers with their music outside are really loud so had to keep my windows closed. The person at the window was friendly. The food itself is not worth that price at all. Their fries are the cheap frozen crinkle cut kind. Not even crispy or hot but cold with no salt. The bread was so basic and bland I didn't even understand why that was even in there. I got the chicken strips and those were good as well as the soda. I like their crushed ice. But yeah, their sauces aren't good at all either. I tried their orange pepper one that comes with the meal. Ew. And the honey mustard which tasted like diluted mustard. I ended up just using my bbq sauce and ketchup at home. Food did not seem fresh. The chicken was extra greasy and had zero seasonings. The fries were old and tasted of old grease. You can tell they are not cooking the food to order because there wasn't any wait time. I can see why this location is dead most of the time. If you want Canes just go to Mira Mesa. We got two of the same meal And we took the drive-through I did notice that the employees were pretty upbeat. They were super chill. Everyone was chill with each other some more being trained. I believe they had some problems with their device and we had to wait a little bit longer from that. But overall, it was accurate and chill all around We were through everything within 10 minutes probably After being compensated for all the waiting and small interruptions that didn't make it as smooth this time around, we were able to get a sauce or two of their famous canes sauce , the burgers themselves were pretty OK. I think everything was made fresh. Portions were decent for what it was. I would rather come here than McDonald or In-N-Out. At least they keep their chicken burgers big I was surprised by what we were charged for all of it. Good pricing. read more

I'll echo what a few others here have said, I don't get the hype. I had been looking forward to trying Raising Cane's because I heard it was really good and now they're close by. We ordered in the drive-thru and by the time we got home, the chicken was soggy. I ate it (because I will pretty much eat anything) but afterwards I felt like I had just eaten a large ball of grease. I prefer the Colonel's seven herbs and spices or Stater's Bros chicken instead of Raising Canes. read more

I had a wonderful time watching the Raising Cane's be built on Poway Road as I drove to and from work. We had the chance to try these famous chicken fingers and Honestly they are pretty delicious. The inside of the store is massive and they are employing a ton of the youth in Poway and I can definitely get behind that. The coleslaw is definitely not big enough, but I'm a glutton so I'll just buy two. The Texas toast is thick and should be used as a taco shell. You can thank me later. read more

I was excited about the new Cane's opening in Poway and had to check it. I tried to order on the app but the drive thru section didn't work and I had to park. I waited a long time and right when I was about to head in, someone came out with my order. The I'm here button doesn't work on the app. As I was leaving, I noticed that they didn't give me any sauce and had to turn back, but luckily, I was at the first light. I was further disappointed to learn that they shorted me a chicken finger when I got home. The chicken was delicious but dealing with all the other issues is a major problem. I tried Cane's for the first time today and I know it's going to be a hot take but I do not get the hype at all. Yeah, the chicken is good but if that is literally all that you are serving besides some sides of fries, slaw, and bread I expect it to be great. I am befuddled with all the hype around the Cane's sauce as well. Everyone was hyping up the Cane's sauce as well and that was also pretty meh. However, when it comes to the place itself it is super clean and in a prime spot on Poway road. The thing that stood out the most though was the awesome service. Every person that I interacted with was phenomenal. I will definitely be back but it will be more of a convenient option compared to a, I have been craving this option. I went to the drive-through. Both lanes were open. One lane had the situation where two employees are assigned to take your order with an iPad before you get a chance to read the menu, with a single car in it. The other lane was free. I pull up to the menu in the open lane. The employee in the other lane politely asks me to reverse back out of my lane and pull into her lane. This would require navigating a tight narrow lane a good distance with too high of a risk of scraping walls or running over curbs etc. I decide to take my business to Wendy's where the ordering process was extremely fast, easy, friendly, and there were zero expectations for me to risk damage to my vehicle. To be clear, this isn't the employee's fault, it is the policy's. Ideally, just allow us to order simply at the mic like any other restaurant, or if you refuse, block off the available lane with a cone that you're not willing to let us utilize. read more

This is the 2nd time we've eaten there. The first time was a sit-in. Today it was take-out. My husband ordered the 3 finger combo and the 6 finger Caniac combo. They gave him two 3 finger combos in the bag. It was a good thing that he opened the boxes before he left the restaurant or else he would only find out when he got home. He presented his receipt and they "corrected" his order. However, when he got home, there was only five chicken fingers in the box instead of 6. Well, he was not going to go back again.
