Amazing customer support! I recently visited the location as a student at UCR. I was in a rush and picked up my order without even checking to see if the food was right since I needed to go to class. After finishing my class I pulled the sandwich I had purchased and realized the patty was pink and undercooked. Afraid of getting salmonella since the sandwich had been sitting my bag for more than an hour I decided to just not eat it. I decided to put a complaint later that day and was quickly sent an email responding to my experience. They were super nice and helpful and offered me a big discount on some future orders. Yummy, non-overpriced burgers now at UCR! Generally speaking, this Habit is above all the other ones I've been to and the food & service are high quality in my opinion. Food: I don't know why I've slept on the Habit for so long but I'm glad I didn't bring food the other day, otherwise I wouldn't have tried my hand at these burgers. I got the double char with sweet potato fries and a drink. I feel it's kind of ridiculous that sweet potato fries are a little more expensive than regular fries because that just makes it harder for people to make healthier options. The burger was incredibly juicy and the buns were grilled so that was unexpected! Service: Cashiers are always friendly and there's always a server that goes around and greets you and collects your trash/empty trays. I haven't had that service anywhere else at UCR so I thought that was neat. Personally, I think this is one of the best options for food at UCR and it isn't as expensive as the other food options are within the Highlander Union Building and elsewhere. This location is normally pretty good. The only complaint is the ranch. Every time I go it is always half frozen. I used to work at a different location and we always made the ranch fresh and left in the walk in. Not sure what this location is doing by freezing the ranch but it's so gross. I pretty much come here every day during the quarter when I have afternoon class on campus. Charburger tastes great and is affordable compared to the surrounding burger joints in the area. I'm not a big fan of larger cut fries but they are crispy and not mushy so its still acceptable. Overall a decent place to get burgers and very convenient. read more

Ahi tuna sandwich is absolute fucking ass. They keep advertising it as "sushi grade tuna". It tastes like canned tuna. Also they manage to over cook the living shit out of it. I really like Habit burgers! When I'm craving a burger In campus I'll order the Charburger and it definitely satisfies. For $4 it's also one of the cheapest lunch options on campus. I waited a few months to post my review as to not impulsively post an angry review. As a former UCR student I've been to The Habit a few times; honestly nothing too impressive, but it's a good place to get your milkshake/burger/fry fix. I'll give them credit for the fries: a good sized portion and delicious unhealthy snack to munch on in between your classes. The last time I went, however, I ordered a milkshake just before the lunch rush started. I didn't get the electronic buzzer that lets you know when your food is ready, but I figured I didn't need one since I only ordered a milkshake and was waiting at the front. Oooooh boy was I wrong. After I ordered, people started to form a line for the lunch rush. After each person picked up their food I figured that they just ordered before me, but then I had noticed people who ordered after me picking up their food. waitwut I asked about my milkshake and was told it would be coming shortly. Gave them the benefit of the doubt but ended up waiting a total of half an hour. The same employee who talked to me then asked if I was waiting for an order. (Nooo... I just like to watch you over-salt your patties after I'm done with class.. like w a t?) I guess somehow my order didn't get through the ticket system or something, because at this point they asked if I ordered online. I thought the cashier would be more helpful since she took my order, but she seemed just as clueless. Finally the employee just took my word and made a milkshake, but didn't even acknowledge that I had been waiting 5ever. She just put the milkshake on the pickup counter and walked back without making eye contact. Okay sis. This is the reason why I decided to graduate early. But in all seriousness, this was my last time visiting The Habit at UCR after feeling disreg-R'-ded. UCR finally has its own Habit Burger Grill! This place is pretty typical to what I've come to expect of the Habit, which is nothing short of great to say the least. They have a full menu including burgers, sandwhiches, sides, shakes, and malts. They have a person who goes down the line with buzzers and takes orders. The veggie burger(which I had) was really delicious. The seating area is 1/2 latitude 1/2 Habit and is definitely great. I dropped a star because they (as of 11/15/2017) don't have dining dollar/bear buck options which means that a huge population of first years are unlikely to eat there. read more
