Everything came out fast. It was hot. It was good. I specifically asked about the caramel churros. I wanted to know if they were made fresh and I was told they were. It was definitely a thing worth doing. The churro rivals some amusement park churros that come with a view of rides. I feel like it was a treat I would definitely get again. I always order their horchata too. It has the right balance of sweetness. As for the burrito and double rice meal, it was delicious and I had enough for leftovers the next day. TRY THE ENCHILADA BOWL! I was craving Mexican but I wasn't feeling like eating a flour tortilla, so I made an adjustment. I noticed that Miguel's Jr. had bowls now and I was super happy! I tried the Enchilada Bowl with shredded chicken, cheese, beans, rice, tomato, Mexican cream and red sauce. BEST DECISION TODAY! It was so flavorful and tasty, I will definitely order it again soon. We also tried the green chile and cheese tamal. It was good, but not as delicious as the pork version of which they ran out of. Next time! I'm impressed with this Miguel's Jr. customer service and professionalism. The girl running the counter on Black Friday was super friendly and helpful. Additionally, the rest of the staff seemed very well-organized and served us quickly. I felt very comfortable at this location, people were calm and families enjoyed a tasty bite without issue. Although this place was pretty busy in the drive-thru, it wasn't good. The prices are reasonable, the service was pretty slow even though the inside was empty which is where I ordered. Took literally 20 mins for a taco salad. Lacked flavor and was fairly wet. Also there were just a few crumbles of tortilla chip strips on the salad. It wasn't horrible but missed the mark compared to several other places within the same cost range with larger portions. The place is fairly large inside and was clean. 3/4/25 Today is the last day to take advantage of the $5 bonus from Miguel's Jr. we're up for a burrito or a taco. The lady at the counter, Marlene was friendly & efficient. She quickly took our order & accepted our bonus cards. While waiting for our to-go meals, I checked our surroundings. Clean & neat interior adorned with wall framed photos & murals about the history of Miguel's Jr which was a Corona staple since 1973. I ordered the 2 burrito special for $10 (then minus the $5 card, SCORE!), Hubby got a street taco for free with his $5 bonus card. I thought we were taking it go but Hubby attacked his street taco as soon as he received it. Because it's pretty good, small but the carne asada meat was tender & well seasoned. We shared my beef burrito & will save the other one for later. Marlene generously packed about 7 green containers of green salsa. Greatly appreciated this gesture. It was also hefty & I really loved the fresh soft tortilla. The shredded beef was umamilicious & it is Hubby approved. He says it's actually fresh tasting. He's such a critic of Mexican food as he's had it all his life and his tias fed him well. Would gladly return to this location if in the area. Horrible! I went there today, which is Thursday September 4, 2025. First off, those kids taking orders must be trained to talk fast and dismissively. They are ALL the same like their on drugs or caffeine. This time around I thought I would try the California burrito with carne Asada. So that's what I ordered. Also got two crunchy shredded beef tacos for later. Instead of carne Asada, which I ordered, I got chicken. It was old, dry , and flavorless. To make it worse, parts of the burrito were watery. So instead of having the tacos later, I was forced to throw the burrito away and I just ate the two tacos. Miguel's manager or management team you have to do better. The kids that you hire have no personality and they a borderline rude even to NICE customers and your food is becoming literal trash that has to be thrown out. Why?? I rarely leave negative reviews...you really have to mess up . I ordered food for my family and as i was scooping the beans and rice into a bowl i noticed metal shards in the beans. They were small sharp and if i didn't notice them my 1 and 4 year old would have ate them. Tried calling the location twice to resolve the issue and was on hold for 30 plus minutes both times. There was a very long hair strand in my burrito! Disgusting! I wanted to throw up. If you are preparing someone's food, your head, and face hair should be completely covered. I'd prefer arm hair be covered too, but at least head and face hair. I was promised a refund, but couldn't even bring myself to go back there, even for that. They can keep the money. I wanted to give Miguel's a try today and so we stopped in for some lunch. I ordered the carne asada plate which was okay. Not bad, but definitely not good. Just okay. The carne asada plate also came with rice, beans and a tortilla. It honestly tasted like a cheaper rendition of Taco Bell, believe it or not. Maybe I just came on a bad day... This restaurant is also pretty pricey for fast Mexican food. I think I paid around $17 for the carne asada plate and a small fountain drink... One thumb and a high five for Miguel's. I popped in here, never having been but hearing they had great potato tacos, on a whim as I was starving and about o go grocery shopping (bad idea!). I ordered two potato tacos and that's it. The tacos were really good, I like that it's actual REAL chopped potatoes and the taco shell was really good BUT! I can't believe they gave me one of the tacos in the state it was, they essentially folded the tortilla 1/3 over, instead of in half, but still shoved all the contents inside and expected me to be able to eat it like a taco? I had to pull over and eat it outside my car like a tostada to not make a mess everywhere ( picture attached). My second taco had beef or pork in it..... not throughout all of it... and luckily I'm not vegetarian, but that would be very bad for someone who was. Probably the worst Miguel Jr's I've ever been to. Staff is lazy and the customer service is non-existent. They are so skimpy with the portions and everything is always thrown together sloppily. They don't pay attention to mobile orders and just cancel the ones they don't want to do. I know this because it's happened to me three times now. You tell them you're there to pick up the order, they say call door dash, the. All of a sudden your order is canceled. So unprofessional, so rude. And in that 4 years there has been the same exact smell the minute you walk in the doors. It smells exactly like sewage. I have brought my in laws, my mom, and my friends and each one has said the same thing as soon as they walk in, "What's that smell!?" At first, I thought someone had a bathroom emergency. But every visit for the last 4 years has that same smell. Unfortunately I have stopped going here because walking in a restaurant and smelling sewage as the first impression ruins my appetite. Ok we have always gone to Miguel's especially for their famous Happy Hour, now that I have experienced Miguel's Jr life is good. It basically is the very same delicious recipes just in the fast food atmosphere. Very clean restaurant and I was really happy that they were offering Pork and Chicken Tamales. I chose the Pork Tamales and they did not disappoint at all, they were steamed just perfectly the masa was soft and hot not breaking apart at all. Large order of Chips and guacamole were delicious the guacamole was creamy but light very nice. Believe me you will have some left over they really fill the container up. They also provide you with salsa which tasted just like at Big Miguel's. After seeing the lady next to me I wished I had ordered one tamale and some tacos they looked so good. So after vowing to never go back to Miguel's Jr in Mo Val, my wife was craving the El Potato burrito w/chili verde. I ordered that, a chili relleno burrito, chicken taco, and quesadilla. Ordered at drive thru, 1 car in front of me, 1 behind. Paid at the window, I asked for green sauce. Handed the bag, didn't look at it until I am at home. The Chicken taco was buried under the burritos and no salsa to be found. The taco was not edible (it was soaked in grease) so bad that the paper wrap fell apart taking out of the bag. See photos. Solid meal most of the time. The beans are great! Love love love the crispy shredded beef tacos. They gave the good ice! (If you know, you know) The famous red sauce is really good. I do miss the salsa bar. The escabeche (spicy pickle carrots) is a good addition to a meal. You can ask for it and they will give you some but, they give you carrots only, dry. When it was at the bar I would have some of the onions and garlic and brine as well with my meal. I like the original creamy guacamole. It's always clean and friendly. read more
