I called for a take out order and it seems that my call didn't go to the restaurant but to another site where orders are taken and relayed to the local business. I wanted 3 sandwiches and got 4. I asked for no cheese and got cheese. The side orders were right. I asked to go over the order and it seemed the lady had it right. I didn't get a receipt so I'm waiting to see if they email it. I don't know if I paid for the extra burger or if a tip was included. Next time I will go to the restaurant and order there. I wanted something a little different. On this visit, I ordered the sirloin steak sandwich. I selected a combo; with a large fountain drink and onion rings, my plate cost $21.37. Tax of $2.08, brought my total to 23.45, before gratuity. The sandwich is served on a ciabatta roll; and has white cheddar cheese, caramelized onion, lettuce, tomato, and some sort of sauce. The bread is grilled, which adds a toasty texture. The "steak" is a reconstituted meat patty. I don't know if I really expected to steak; but the use of chopped beef makes sense. It allows The Habit to provide consistency of shape and weight. The taste and texture of the "steak" was different than that of their hamburger patty. The use of sirloin contributes to the taste difference; but I wonder if artificial flavors (like smoke) were added, too. I was satisfied with the meal; but I wasn't impressed either. Any staff member should have recognized that this food quality was not appropriate to serve. When I politely brought it up, the employee responded with an unfriendly attitude and showed no apology or concern. I then approached the general manager hoping for a more professional response, but she simply said she was on her break and told me to speak to the other employee instead. Upgrade to the Santa Barbara for a much better sandwich that puts you on the track of eating too much in your meal. And though the fries are good, the tempura green beans are awesome. OVERALL WARNING: They are definitely are not stingy when it comes to salt. We've had to resort to ordering everything with NO salt because of how many times over the years we've had to return things as inedible. Long time visitor, first time reviewer. This place deserves all 5 stars. It feels like some folks have a lot to say, but let me assure you -- this is a great burger spot. Being up on the hill there aren't many burger places to go to so it's really nice that we have our own Habit. Service is always friendly and although it's not the fastest food, if you think of this place as a fast casual restaurant then they nail it. I have never had a wrong order, I have never had bad service at the counter or picking up. There's always parking. And this place seems to always be busy. Extra shout out to the employees who have to manage all of the highschoolers all the time. The people working here are always hustling to get orders out, which is really impressive to watch. 10 out of 10 would recommend! Oh, and obviously the food is delicious. They can even accommodate dairy free diets. And of course, they have one of the best lettuce wrapped burgers in the game. read more

I wasn't sure what to get, but the manager, Gustavo, was super welcoming and gave me some great recommendations that made the whole experience easy. I came here yesterday with my wife and we ordered a double burger with fries and a drink. In the past, cheese was always included with the double burger, but now they charge extra for it which was a surprise. We asked for the burger to be cut in half, but it came out unevenly cut my wife ended up with the larger portion while I got the smaller side. The fries were also burnt. What really made the experience disappointing was the wait time. There were zero other customers in the restaurant, yet it took around 15 minutes for our food to come out. During that entire time, we could see three employees the front register person, the cook, and another staff member standing around talking instead of preparing food. When the food finally arrived, it wasn't good and definitely didn't feel worth the $18 we paid. On top of that, when I went up to the counter to ask for barbecue sauce or ranch, the cashier (who already knew we had waited so long) smiled and told me it would cost extra. That was the last straw. Overall, the service was slow, the food quality was poor, and the atmosphere in the back was unprofessional. Friday night and closing time is at 9:30pm I came in and placed my order at 8pm for dine in. As I am sitting down employee starts placing chairs on tables. I usually don't review chain restaurants, but their low rating has always confused me. I'm always a regular at habit and at a few of their locations. It's a fast food place but a step above places like McDonald's / Burger King. I have noticed this location does get pretty busy and yet their tables and everything are always clean. I always get their chicken and their green bean fries. Which are the only way I'll eat green beans lol. (Highly recommend their teriyaki dipping sauce and their ranch dressing) They also have pretty good salads and their lettuce wrapped burgers are great if you have any restrictions. This location is really nice and located in a shopping center with a bunch of other places (target, bath and body works and even a crumble cookie) so it's really convenient. Also, tons of free parking around. I'd say on average it usually takes about 10 minutes to get my food. They give you a buzzer that lights up and then you bring it to the counter and pick it up. I'm a fan of their jalapeños on the condiment bar. They always keep it stocked up and clean Also, if you're a regular at habit, like myself. She was very rude. The food came out cold. The fries came out 15 minutes after the sandwich (which was already cold). Overall she seemed like she couldn't be bothered. She kept her back turned to the door and register the entire time we were there and just kept carrying on with personal conversation with the two cooks. We complained and she didn't say sorry. This is my go to location for Habit Burger mainly because I can bring my dog for the outside patio area. They have heaters that you can request to turn on. Food is as expected and service is fast. At this location in RPV, the customer service is TOP NOTCH. All the young men and women were gracious and accommodating. The burgers are flavorful and plentiful with slices of fresh tomato and shredded lettuce. This Habit Burger somehow always manages to get something wrong. Every single time I've ordered a Teriyaki burger, there's NO teriyaki sauce in it. EVERY TIME! Sometimes they pack the burgers so poorly everything is smashed and looks messed up when we try to eat. The good things are their onion rings, fries, tempura green beans and shakes. Their shakes are actually really delicious. Today was finally the straw that broke the camel's back. I had to write a review because I ordered a BLT. A BACON, lettuce and tomato sandwich. What I received was a lettuce and tomato sandwich with 1.5 slices of bacon in it. The audacity to put such a tiny amount of bacon in a sandwich and call it a BLT. Mind blowing. They're opening another Habit burger down the hill and I'm hoping that one is better. We only live 5 min away from this Habit but I would rather drive down the hill than deal with this BS. read more
