I love Tender Greens. I've been to the Pasadena, El Segundo, and Irvine over the years. Customer service in this specific location is a hit or miss. Either really good with zero problems. Or really slow service. Portion sizes have also significantly decreased over the years, but I understand all restaurants are impacted by inflation. I mostly still come in to make the most of my rewards available on the mobile app or for their annual Veteran's Day discount. The saving grace, what really matters at the end of the day - is that the food is still delicious. They're generally good about making sure proteins aren't overcooked here, but I've seen other people have a different (worse) experience than me. I really hope this spot hires additional crew members soon. I get the feeling the few that are part of the team are almost always exhausted on the job. I'm rooting for this T.G. to improve overtime! read more

I love Tender Greens' food in general, but this Torrance location specifically is the absolute worst and it has been for quite a while now. There has never been a time in the last few years, no exaggeration, where I've placed an order and something wasn't missing. Whether it's the blue cheese or bacon in my Cobb salad or one of the side dishes that comes with the plates or the bread even when I specify that I do want bread. I don't know if it's the management or the staff, but the apathy and inconsistency are just ridiculous and something needs to change already. It's really too bad because the food is actually very tasty and I much prefer it to the very similar Urban Plates just down the street. read more

This was a pretty disappointing experience. I went there on a weekend afternoon. It was slow when we ordered, not many people there. My husband got seared tuna with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, and I got the veggie longevity bowl. The food took over 25 minutes to come out. My bowl was really weird. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to mix all the ingredients or eat them separately, but they all had very distinct flavor profiles and I didn't think they belonged together. It was one of very limited vegetarian options so I got it. I wouldn't get it again. It's also annoying that hot sauce, paper napkins, etc are not easy to access. You have to go up to the counter for each thing. And if they are ringing people up, or there's a line, it seems awkward to cut to the front to ask for things. read more

I think tender greens in general is good and has good food but is on the pricy side. TBH this location is not the best. The reason why is because I've been twice now and ordered the same thing, the short rib plate. Every time one of the food items is cold or room temp. The second I had to send the short rib plate back because the mashed potatoes were just cold. No one apologized they just replaced it, which took way too long only to end up with a new plate with luke warm mashed potatoes. You can tell when you walk in all the workers are not happy to be there. I feel bad for them, the atmosphere is so sad. I get it, it's a job in the food industry but still it seems like there isn't effort or care put into the food they make. read more

The food here is always amazing and delicious! I love their salmon and beef plate! The salmon is so soft and seasoned really well with salt and butter! For sides I highly recommend getting the smashed potatoes or Mac and cheese! Then I also recommend getting the seasonal vegetables! They are so soft and seasoned good! The customer service at this place absolutely sucks. Out of the last 3 visits, 2 have been bad. Today was the worst! I placed my order for pickup at 6:15. At 6:26....they have no information for me. They acted like they could not speak English at all. I couldn't take the incompetence, I walked out and I'll dispute the charge with my credit card company later. And when I called the phone line for help, the same idiot who was working the register answered the phone and hung up on me. Why offer a scheduled pick up time when the food is not ready anywhere close to the time scheduled? With such horrible service, I can't imagine this place lasting much longer. read more

I love Tender Greens in person. But your delivery option kinda sucks. I've ordered twice from here with delivery. And the food always looks like it comes from a cheap fast food restaurant. Always cold. It's always missing parts of the order or incorrect items at best. Please do better, especially since I'm paying more to have it delivered. read more

Staff had no clue what they were doing. Place was literally empty and they couldn't make 2 salads within 45minutes? Joke. The guy in front of me waited 40 minutes for his food before he cancelled his order. Poorly managed. They constantly run out of items. It's honestly a joke. Food is good but don't waste your time. Really appreciate the attention to such detail. Order came after about 15 -16 minutes of order. Could improve faster, since it wasn't their busiest times (11:40 am) but reasonable enough.
