Whenever having breakfast somewhere new to me, I like to try a basic breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a starch. Since they offer homemade biscuts, decided to give that a try. Hubby chose the green chilaquiles plate and OJ. He said it was about 3.5 stars. My plate looked and tasted good however I was surprised that the 2 eggs appeared to be 1 egg. The server was OK with getting another egg. Overall, my plate was about 3.5 stars. The service is kind and welcoming. Their soundtrack is upbeat and ecclectic. They do offer lunch specials Monday through Friday from 12PM to 3PM which is their closing time. Breakfast/brunch is so competitive in the South Bay. Seaside Bistro claims homemade hollandaise. It is TERRIBLE, and COLD! It is also too sweet. What? I make hollandaise from scratch and the ingredients are simple: egg yolks, lemon juice, butter, salt, pepper and a little cayenne. I doubt that it was made scratch "in house", maybe they had a starter that they stirred together so they can say "homemade." Any way it was horrible, too thin, too sweet, not enough acid and not warm. The English muffin, ham, eggs and potatoes were good though. We were the only people in the restaurant at 9:30am and the service was lacking. Our server was on her phone and never came to check on us. We had to yell for her attention.
