Can't believe I've never had Habit before! It's up there for fast, casual burger places. Personal favorite is the Santa Barbara char sandwich. Flavors pear very well together and the butter toasted bread is just the cream on top that pushes it over. Temporary green beans is the reason why I keep coming back here. Love the crunch, but also taste amazing. I love fries, but I think I might like this more than potato fries. I always go when they have the $10 Gotta Habit Deal. They said it when I asked them - no it is not fast food. They boast it. Because you see they make them fresh to order! It will take at least 15 minutes to get a hamburger here. Turn off your car if you get drive thru. Apparently they make each burger fresh which is supposed to be good. But their burgers suck - don't taste fresh made, and they are overpriced. I don't know why anybody would ever eat here honestly. I would make it my habit to never come here. read more

Honestly I've tried this place and couple of times and it has always been such a disappointment! I went today around lunchtime and did a pre-order and picked up. I ordered the combo santa fe burger which is half and nuggets, and a side salad. The burger was okay too much avocado! The salad was wilted and had a really bad chemical taste and the nuggets... not even cooked all the way. I was pretty disgusted with the whole meal and I will not be going back to this place at all. I used the Habit app to order a delivery from the Cleveland Ave Habit. Waited over an hour and half after the app told me 30 minutes. Finally the app told me my order was cancelled. The truly disappointing part wasn't that it was cancelled but the charge went through on my credit card for $30. That included delivery fee and a tip. Never again! read more

First time trying this place and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the double char and the tempura avocado wedges for curbside. My order was ready by the time I got there and the food was brought out by a very nice lady. The tempura avocado wedges just wow. These are lightly fried and served with a cup of ranch dressing and is probably one of the best sides I've ever had to accompany a burger. I did notice that it is a limited time item which I hope they end up making permanent. The double char burger was fantastic and everything I want in a delicious burger. I like that they use chopped lettuce and the meat to cheese ratio is perfect not to mention the meat is seasoned perfectly I'm certainly glad I finally tried this place, I only wish I would have tried them sooner. Great food, terrible customer service from the girl with the red hair bun. My child's cheeseburger had ketchup on it after I requested ketchup on the side. I proceeded to the girl at the cashier and she continues to argue with me after I'm pointing on the receipt to her where it says ketchup on the side and ketchup packet for the fries. She says they don't put ketchup on the fries and I said well maybe your online system is a little wonky, but you should never argue with a customer. Peep the order details in the photo. As I kindly tried explaining this to her, she walks away, leaves her back turned to me and tells her manager that she is not going to engage with me. I was simply trying to show her that I wasn't wrong. It's sad that in this day and age the new generations do not have customer service skills. Stopped in just to grab a quick bite for lunch. Everything on the menu looks so big and I know I wouldn't be able to finish it. I was talking to the girl at the counter. Her name is Lupita telling her how the burgers were so big that they're hard to finish and she suggested I get a kids meal. I know a lot of restaurants don't like to do that but I do appreciate her being so easy-going, she was attentive, polite and have a smile the whole time. I highly suggest Habit Burger. I was immediately impressed when i opened the door - definitely more "upscale" than your average fast food burger joint .. and the menu had a spicy chicken sandwich as well as a ahi tuna fish sandwich!! Score! I decided to try the chicken sandwich since I'm on a quest for the perfect chicken sandwich.. I got the spicy chicken sandwich and it was good - Kentucky Fried and Popeyes are still better - the habit chicken sandwich adds lots of cold slaw which I like (the others don't ) ..but the chicken patty is thin and it feels like it should be called a slaw sandwich. It also wasn't even spicy to me .. so while the sandwich was disappointing .. the place in inviting inside and the service is good. This is by far our favorite almost fast food burger place in Santa Rosa, the Charburgers have amazing flavor, good customer service and pretty good prices. We also love that we can order extra crispy french fries that are almost as amazing as that place whom we all know that is famous for their crispy frys read more

I'm a big fan of the avocado fries. Hot menu items are consistently good, though I've seen a few icky/freezer burned(?) layers of lettuce in the specialty salads. I've never had that experience with their ceasar, so that's what I stick with. read more

I'm definitely a fan of Habit burgers. Today I ordered online, along with curbside delivery. Once you arrive, you reply to a text message, you click on "I'm here"... I waited 3 mins for someone to deliver my food. I thought to myself not bad! I like this curbside deal. The girl that brought my food out was nice, she said my name to confirm I was the person waiting for my order, I asked her if ranch and ketchup inside the bag, she kindly replied. I was happy with the service I received. It was fast and friendly. I opened my burger and it looked big and juicy. In my opinion it looked kinda sloppily put together, like I was definitely going to needs extra napkins. (No biggie)... My food was hot and ready to be eaten. I will say, that's one thing I've noticed is their burgers are messy, whether you eat there, or in your car. I was happy it was hot and tasty. Each time I've been to this location, I noticed the parking lot is pretty busy, there's always cars backing out, cars pulling in etc. And the parking spots seem to be too close together. Loved it I SoCal, so glad they opened here in Santa Rosa. My mom loves the seasonal Pumpkin shake, I admit it's pretty tasty. The burgers are a great portion, filling and tasty. Their onion rings are hands down the best of all fast food joints! The seasonal Santa Barbara burger is a delicious patty melt with avocado, can recommend. Yesterday April 11th 2025 at around noon, I swung by The Habit restaurant on Cleveland Ave in Santa Rosa, I made two orders but when I got home, I found a different order than the one I placed. I went back to the restaurant, and told the lady who helped me that I got the wrong order, she said I needed to talk to the manager. He asked what happened, I explained to him what I got, he became very irate and he grabbed a scrap paper and pen and said, "Where is the other hamburger?", I said I just got this one, but I ordered two charburger wrapped in lettuce, he insisted aggressively... "Where is the other hamburger?" I told him again, and told him that I just needed the right order and I would be happy to pay. He grabbed the food, threw it in the garbage, turned around and ignored me. I returned to the cashier to order my two wraps, he whispered to the lady with anger on his face, I didn't say a word. Lupita the cashier took my order, and said there would be no charge. I said, I don't want anything for free, I can pay for my food, she politely said I can't take your money, she gave me my order and apologized to me, I said, no worries, things happen. I looked at the manager and said, your attitude was the worst, and I will report it, he said out loud yelling at me, "you can call whoever you want!", I just said, You will hear from me on yelp or google, because your attitude is the worst. He continued yelling at me while I was leaving the restaurant! He forgot that there were people in the restaurant! He was completely unprofessional, But my main concern is that if he has the audacity to treat me, a paying customer that way, I can't imagine how he treats his employees! All I can say is, if a customer shows up with good manners, at least he can show some respect. read more

We just enjoyed our first delivery order from The Habit. Tempura green beans. Why doesn't every place with a fryer make these? The ones from The Habit were crunchy, greaseless, and well-seasoned. My wife liked them better than the onion rings, which I thought were good, but not great. And she loved her Impossible burger lettuce wrap as much as I enjoyed my "charburger" with bacon, cheese, grilled onions, and portabella mushrooms. Yes, that's how the spell it on the menu. The chocolate milkshake I ordered was not too chocolatey, and not too sweet. I would have preferred a bit more chocolate presence. The whipped cream was a nice touch, especially because it survived delivery in almost perfect condition. We still love Superburger and Phyllis' Giant Burger more, but we're gonna try The Habit again in the near future. I've been here 10-15 times. The food is good however they charge extra for barbecue sauce which is stupid, also no matter the time or day of the week the men's bathroom always smells horrible. I ordered the "limited time only" Chicken Caprese on garlic ciabatta with basil pesto aioli. The chicken was grilled on an open flame like their charburgers. The toasted square ciabatta bread is layered with basil pesto aioli, lettuce, tomato, grilled chicken breast, and a melted slice of mozarella cheese. The sandwich is cut in half then placed in a plastic container. It was a bit pricey at $9 plus tax which came out to $9.82. Great Burger! I ordered a portobello Char mushroom burger! Great tasting burger, with a fresh bun, good mushrooms and cheese, and just an all around great burger. My daughter ordered the SANTA BARBARA CHAR, and she said it was really good. The only reason they aren't getting higher marks, is the place was dirty. It was 9pm, there were only a few people there on a Saturday night. The kitchen crew were standing around trying to look busy, but they were mostly talking. Boy the dining room was dirty! Most of the tables were dirty, and the floor was dirty. I had to wipe my own table down with a wet napkin to get rid the crumbs left from the last diner. I went to the bathroom wail I was waiting for my food, and the smell reeked in there along with the trashcan was overflowing. Clearly the bathroom hadn't received any attention for a good 5 hours or more for it to be that dirty, even if they had been slammed the entire time. I really thought about canceling my food order based on the cleanliness of the restaurant and the bathroom. Clearly a management and team lead issue that needs to be addressed. read more

Ordered online tonight about an hour ago. I did curbside pick-up and of course they did not bring out my whole order. After the guy left I noticed he only brought out the milk for my 3 year old and no soft drink. I then had to go into the restaurant and ask for a drink. After I filled the drink I noticed the clerk gave me a medium instead of the I ordered. He did not know so that is fair. In any event I got home and the ranch I ordered was also missing.
