Although my previous reviews for this location has been five stars tonight rendition of my Garden Ranch Salad yields three stars and it could be two because I don't I understand how my lettuce is hot. Plus I asked for ranch and balsamic did not get that. And my tempura string beans were so greasy I just stopped eating them because I don't have any Ranch for one and two it's too greasy so tonight salad and string bean combo is a no-go for me. One of the main reasons I come to the Habit is for my coffee milkshake. Imagine my utter disappointment when I was told they no longer make them. What? No more random coffee shake cravings? Possibly one of the most underrated burger joints with the best fish sandwiches. They currently have a Baja fish sandwich which is delicious but offered for a limited time only (please Habit, consider making this a permanent sandwich!). I grew up to this Habit location and whenever I visited, the smell of the grill just stayed on my shirt, almost as if I just visited a KBBQ restaurant. However, after my recent visit, it seems like they have updated their ventilation system. The delicious smell of the burgers can still be smelled, especially outside, but it will no longer stick on your clothes. The Habit is very consistent with how they cook their burgers throughout their branches, so you can pretty expect the same level at this Vallejo location. The burger patties are juicy and tasty, offering a perfect bite. The restaurant is quite big compared to other branches, offering lots of seating options, which I thought were very well-maintained. The bathrooms were also very clean. This location brings so much nostalgia and I am glad that they are doing a wonderful job operating this branch. read more

Coming in I ordered at the self service kiosk. I got a text saying my order was in and I had my food about 7 minutes later. The burger was delicious. The Habit Burger Grill is located in the same plaza at Costco and used to be Wendy's years ago. The drive thru always looks like it's pretty busy. Perfect spot for a burger, onion rings, fries, sandwiches, and even salads, shakes, and ice cream cones! If I'm not feeling a "char burger" (their cheeseburger) with fries, or sweet potato fries then I'll try to go to a healthier alternative route of a salad (their Caesar salad still has a ton of calories) with some Tri tip. Their sandwiches are good too, same as their onion rings and their cheap ice cream cones. My memory of the habit burger from college were their fundraisers! So I think they do fundraisers here so going out to eat for a cause. Located on a little hill, they have both indoor and outdoor seating (with heaters) and tons of booths inside for family dining. Sadly, I'm not a fan. My fiancé knew I never tried a Habit burger before so he suggested that I do, just so that I have! I'm glad I did because it satisfied my curiosity but sadly, not my tummy. For the price as well I was disappointed - I would have rather spend just a little more for an amazing Five Guys burger instead. The fries were also just alright. The texture was off and they were also not fresh fries. Service - The drive through was incredibly and painfully slow. It took forever for us to get our food, even our dog was getting antsy in the car and he loves car rides. It also wasn't that busy, the line wasn't long it just for some reason.. took ages. Would not recommend coming here if you're in a hurry for some food. Overall - I don't know if I'd come back here. My order was for take-out. First let me start by saying I've eaten at other Habit locations and had very positive experiences. This was not one of them. I ordered the chicken breast sandwich w/pesto aioli and an order of sweet potato fries (one of my favorites). I found very little "pesto aioli" on the sandwich. It was placed on one slice of the bread with the other slice left bone dry even with lettuce and tomatoes. The sweet potato fries had clearly been sitting in the basket and dropped once again into the fryer to reheat. This is a practice that doesn't fare well because of the higher sugar content in sweet potatoes. The result was a serving of fries that not only looked brown and unappetizing but tasted overcooked and oily. Needless to say I was very disappointed and will never order food again from this location as it was, and is a poor representation of the chain and the brand. read more

Never been to Habit before surprisingly, but I received an offer thru my social media feed for a free chicken club sandwich with a $2 purchase. Sounded like a pretty solid offer, so I headed out the last day the coupon expired. I walked in and saw the self-order kiosk and stepped up to it. But, after having my order all set, discovered that I couldn't tender the free offer thru the kiosk. Drats! Cancel kiosk order & slide to counter cashier for assistance. After ordering, they give you one of those circular alarm discs that let you know when your order's ready. The sandwich: really tasty with charbroiled chicked with avocado & bacon. They also have a cool customization where you can add many condiments & veggies for free. They also have a pretty generous self-serve condiment bar in the lobby with peppers, steak sauce, etc. to sauce up your sammy even more. Was surprised to learn that the chain started back in '69 in my college alma mater town of Santa Barbara. Woo-Hoo! Go Gauchos! I drove from vallejo to American canyon to my elderly parents once home I discovered an item was missing the phone number to hair does to an automated system that was unable to transfer to the store directly I drove back to the store and was greeted with very bad energy from the manager and as the were reluctant to give me the charger I already paid for I didn't look to see it was on a burger not the meal so I asked to have it added on and he did the fries said they were out of Pepsi .
