Togo's in Vallejo is nice to dine inside. I will confess that this location has been in business for a long time. I do remember a Starbucks next door but they moved down the street. The manager would not honor the check in (free drink with purchase). She provided that she was not able to do it unless you purchase in person as opposed to ordering in advance through the Yelp app. We ordered a 9 inch hot pastrami as well as a 6 inch turkey avocado, and she was unwilling to redo the order because 'no returns on food'. Very disappointed with these guys. I Door Dashed my ordered in wanting extra dressing for salad because they never give enough. My husband and I decided to give this local restaurant another try since we always want to support the local businesses. The woman behind the counter was most personable and seemed to really get what we were ordering. She verified as she went, still very encouraging. I asked her point blank if the bread was fresh and she said absolutely, as fresh as can be, just delivered last night. When we got home and opened our sandwiches, we were both so terribly disappointed. My husband's hot pastrami was microwaved to death and my cold roast beef was almost non-existent and both were so dry, the produce was so very skimpy and the bread was not fresh! Togo's Sandwich Restaurant 3455 Sonoma Blvd, Vallejo The most rudest group of employees I've ever encountered in my history of fast food ordering ... I placed my order on the phone and was told 25 min for pick up ... I arrived 30 to 35min since my pass experience had been an additional wait time of 10 to 15 min. I noticed 3 employees in the business and 4 customers inside there were no obvious signs that the order was completed or worked on. I walked to the pickup area and asked if the order I placed was ready ... the employee turned to address another employee that pulled the order tag that was taped in front of her and yelled was it 2 sandwiches... I said "no" it was 3 and 5 soups ... then I asked was the order ready or even started. The first employee motioned for me to leave the pickup area so that she can service another customer. I asked that she not dismiss me while I'm trying to get information on my order. She again made a motion with her hand to move me from the pickup area ... this infuriated to no end I choose to ignore to prevent an altercation ... I then address the employee that was holding my order slip ... I again asked if the order was started ... she responded with they were very busy. All the while the other employee continued to swing her hand to motion me to move ... I asked the employee how long will the wait be now that I see that it wasn't started yet ... I was told 45min I said someone else from my job will pick up the order. I returned to my job and asked my coworker to call to confirm the time before taking that drive. He was told the order was cancelled. He reordered and was told 30min for a pickup. The order was for other coworkers that didn't care to go through another restaurant was a wait period since their lunch time was limited ... this was the only reason the order was placed a second time. I can assure you I nor any of my coworkers will ever patronize this place of business. If rating the food alone, I'd give 'em 5 stars. I haven't found another sandwich chain thru the years that can come remotely close to equaling their signature sandwiches like their hot pastrami (#9) or the turkey-avo (#24). Few knocks on this particular store: (1) it's kinda a sketch area (applies to most of Vallejo), (2) the wait time for placing an order during rush hour (lunchtime) can be a drag, and (3) the owners-management are kind of rules "sticklers." For example, most recently, I went there ordering a large sandwich, my usual (one meal now, one meal later mindset). I changed it up a bit this time, and asked for half of the sandwich to be #9 and the other half #24 as both sandwiches are the same price on the menu. Apples to apples price-wise in my book, yes? But NO, they wouldn't-couldn't do it, per unspecified policy. I could see if they were different prices, ok...I get that. But what was the difference I wondered?
