Called an order in and they said 10-15 mins on the phone. Then I get a text 3 mins later saying it was ready so I fly over there just knowing I was going to be disappointed. This is the wirdt location of the franchise! They are skimpy on the steak they dint cook the veggies all the way down. sauted mushrooms were raw! they refused my phone order @8:32 because they stop taking phone orders after 8 lol. There store hours are inconsistent, even on yelp ot days they're open till 8:30 they'll tell instire that it closes at 8. i e caught them closing @ 7:45 too many times at least 4 times in the last years or so. They really used to be great here in Vallejo, but since '23 they have fallen all the way off! I'm they're losing cheesesteak customers to Jersey Mikes! I hope they can get it together for Vallejo, because their quality version is needed! I like cheesesteaks and the soft bun, steak melted cheese plus I get spinach, mushrooms, onions and peppers and they were generous. The sweet peppers here are great! I've gone to the shop in Berkeley for years. I've also been to the one in Alameda, but this one is better. It's cleaner and the staff are efficient and very welcoming. We visited this place for the Gilroy Cheese steak sandwich and a Philly salad for the wifey. The restaurant has seating to dine in and the place was primarily clean besides one table that needed attention. I used the restroom to wash hands and it was also clean. The cashier greeted us and taken our order. Besides the main sandwich and salad we added Tater tots and sweet potato fries. Overall wait was about 10 minutes. I've eaten here many times and always had the best service and the thickest sandwiches. I lived near Philly a while in Norristown. We had lots of Geno's cheesesteaks. I realize with the price of meat these days that the California cheesesteaks stopped using ribeye and switched to sirloin and it's hard to get cheese whiz but they still taste great. This is a good sandwich shop. If you go here, you have to get the foot-long sandwich because the 6 inches is not big enough. They make a good sandwich and you can get everything on top of it. If you're going to go to this mall and get you something to eat this is the b best place to go. You don't need to go to NNN out and you don't need to go to that nasty chicken shop up the road. This visit was on a Saturday evening earlier this month while out with the hubby. We were running errands and wanted a sandwich. I don't eat meat but we'd played this out a few times before with good outcomes so I was happy to order our sandwiches. We took them home, grabbed chips and snacks and set up for a movie l; opened sandwiches and first thing was that the bread wasn't very fresh or soft. The cheese with minimum and I really enjoy it at all. Like I said this was not my first time with this veggie cheesesteak , two times earlier this year that I ordered it, it was phenomenal like it was really delicious and ate the whole thing. However, after a couple of bites and I was done..... and it was pretty dry even with all vegetables.
