We sat in the bar area. The music was so loud and just an odd mix of music. Definitely not Mexican themed at all. The chips and salsa are bland. We were asked if we wanted ranch and we didn't understand why. But after reading other reviews it seems it is good with the chips? My hubby said the wet burrito was really good. My burrito bowl had way too many black beans and not enough rice, chicken or pico de gallo. It wasn't very good. Our sever was friendly. The food came out quick. The margarita was tasty. Just not sure I would go back. If I do, I would go with their wet burrito specialty. read more

The past few times I have gotten salsa to go it has been really bad. It tastes like it's been sitting out for 2 days before going into the fridge. Stopped in after a movie. Even though it was late everyone there was super friendly and no one acted like they were scrambling to go home. Thouroughly enjoyed the fresh burrito bowl which was just that -- fresh. Lime cilantro rice topped with black beans, chicken, pico de gallo, and cheese. Waited 10 minutes in the lobby for the hostess to show up and seat us then another 15 minutes before our waitress showed up to take our initial order. I am visiting from out of state when my friends told me this was a good place to eat so i tried it ... terrible mistake . The waiter only took our table after 40 min of sitting down . I understand they can be busy but we only ordered two appetizers and that came out about 30 min later . I normally don't complain but the waitress didn't give me my change back and when i asked about it she threw the change at me while having an attitude. The waiter in the Goshen that goes by the name of "Krazy" needs to be replaced. Several months ago my friends and I visited the location with her as a server. She was very nice so nice that she gave us a free mudslide at the end of the night. It wasn't until we got home that we noticed had been scammed of $50 and since half of us paid in cash at the restaurant, they could not do anything about it. They had just said "we have had problems with her about this before." Not including this, we tipped her extremely well. We eventually let it go knowing that nothing done about it. The receipts were completely messed up, even though each card was handed with its appropriate check and the restaurant did nothing about it. Today we visited again with the same server, we were forgotten about for at least 35 minutes while waiting for a mudslide and had to remind her four times for a box. The cheese that we received was also not properly warmed and was cold from the beginning. We also never received our mudslide after sitting in the restaurant for two hours. We've had several positive experiences with the staff, but never once with Krazy. read more

Went here with my wife and another couple yesterday. I was expecting from the size and decorations of the place that it would be high quality Mexican Food! When the chips came, they were not warm, relatively flavorless, and the salsa did not taste fresh. The gentleman who waited on us asked if we wanted queso or gauc with the chips, and offered them in such a manner as to give the impression they were complimentary. They were not... the queso --which was admittedly the only tasty thing I had-- added close to $5 to the bill, and it came in a very small bowl. I ordered the seafood chimichanga, and my wife ordered a wet burrito. The chimichanga tasted like it had been frozen and reheated, the seafood inside was meant to look like lobster but tasted like bad imitation crab. My wife's burrito was bland and not well seasoned. I hardly touched my chimichanga, it was so gross. Only the side of rice and beans was edible. The atmosphere was about what would be expected for a run of the mill Mexican restaurant. Fairly open, and noisy when it got busy. Our waiter was friendly... hence two stars... but otherwise I do not recommend this restaurant. We left for $40 with gratuity. read more

If you're from out of town / out of state / literally anywhere but the Midwest and you're looking to find that hidden gem with amazing Mexican food, this is not it. The salsa's taste and texture is marinara mixed with ketchup. The locals seem to remedy this by mixing ranch into it. If that sounds good to you, this might be your jam. Depends on the day and the location you go to. Would not order take out or delivery from any of them. If you get something wrong when it is delivered, they do nothing and you get no refund. Going into the actual place is best with this company. Depending on the day/night you go... be prepared for several drunks in the bar, and loud atmosphere. I do love the outside seating area when available. I think they should serve a small cup of ranch with the chips and salsa, they know most want that. We've visited this restaurant 2 times now and they have good food. We travel for work so we eat all over the USA. The only thing I think they can improve on is their salsa. If you like good authentic Mexican food, I would recommend you go elsewhere. More Tex-Mex, but generic as generic can be. Hacienda has always been average at best but our last experience left us wanting for much better. First off my wife arrived for the carry out and had a short wait while they prepared our order. This typically would indicate that your food should be hot if not at least very warm. Upon arriving home ten minutes later we discovered that was not the case. Her tacos were barely warm and my burrito combo nothing more than room temp. In fact the cheese that had initially melted off my burrito was congealed and stiff. Not an indicator that it had recently even been hot. Here ground beef tacos were ok however my burrito combo was the size of White Castle burger. 4 bites was it and I was done. The white chili soup was barely warm and the Mexican rice room temp and bland. Frankly my food sucked. I don't expect gourmet from Haci but this was subpar from a restyrant that should at a minimum know the settings on the microwave to provide hot food. Likely why we rarely order food there as it's typically disappointing. Lots of authentic Mexican around that certainly can provide hot food with taste at a better price. read more

I always stop in here when I'm in town. What's not to like...a whole Liter of Margarita on Friday for around $10! Genius! Their chips & salsa are great (they're FREE too) and their Mexican food is also great. It's not a hole in the wall "real" Mexican place with Spanglish written in the menus. It's a mini-chain restaurant in Indiana that serves "American" Mexican food if that makes sense. This place has really expanded since they moved into their spot in Linway Plaza. Great addition to the Goshen nightlife... If you come back to town...you'll run into someone here you know. That is why I love this place. Good times! read more

One of Goshen's hometown favorite hangouts. Always busy, busy busy on weekend evenings (expect a wait) - especially being centrally located next to the movie theater. Hacienda has been around for as long as I can remember and it's a popular spot for girl's nights outs. They have regular drink specials every night (Sangria Swirl frozen mugs every Sunday for $3.75), lunch specials and weekday specials as well. I wish they had lunch specials on the weekends, this one thing competitors in the area have over them. The food is good, personally I love their burrito combos and Hacienda chicken wraps with fiesta fries. This is Tex-Mex food, it is NOT authentic - there are plenty of good authentic places to go but Hacienda has great Tex-Mex options if you aren't looking for that. Almost all locals know that their ranch dressing is the best around, we always order a small cup ($1.99) to eat with our chips and salsa (which is free). It's homemade and for some reason, is our absolute favorite. read more

Stopped in today around 3:00 for an early dinner and couldn't be more offended. We've eaten at this location probably close to 50 times. Service is generally very good and have really never had an issue with their food. I understand prices have gone up due to COVID, they've maybe gone up $2.00-totally understandable. What is unacceptable was the comment made by what I'm guessing is the manager. My husband and I walked into the restaurant and were greeted by two ladies and a 40 something, balding/overweight man in a button down shirt. The ladies asked how many were in our party. I said 'two' and asked if they had a booth available. One lady said she thought they did not, the other went to look in the bar area. The Manager/whoever he was stated that maybe there was a booth available at McDonald's. Should've just walked out after that, but accepted an available table and had a less than average meal for $50. This place has THE BEST Non-Mexican-Mexican food. Simply put outta Americanized Mexican and it's great. Try the salsa mixed with ranch to really understand. I got the wet burrito that was pretty good. The White queso & retried bean dip was also very good. They can accommodate large groups. They offer a margarita flight that looked fun (I didn't get it). Fresh chips. Salsa has a hint of a kick. My enchiladas were not boiling hot, first time ever to experience that and it was room temperature. Service was average, delivery of food was quick, maybe that was the problem. Rice is terrible, beans were bland.... not awful, but drinks were good. Never got offered a reorder. read more

This is probably the best Hacienda in Elkhart County. This is because the atmosphere is better and the servers are more attentive. Hacienda is not great quality Mexican food, it's just a glorified Taco Bell that serves alcohol. Most people from this area accept that and like it. Hacienda opened up during a time that there was little cultural variety of food in this area, that goes for Mexican food. So, back in the 80's if you wanted Mexican food but not Taco Bell you would go to Hacienda. The menu even catered to Midwesterners. The wet burrito is basically a pot roast, chicken or ground beef in a tortilla topped with a brown gravy. If you were raised here then like me you may crave it once in awhile. Most outsider's think it's basic, or even terrible. I think I crave the margaritas the most but if I go there for margaritas I have to order chips and salsa. I also like the chicken wet burrito and the seafood a la Hacienda. read more
