I have never had someone clear my table at Ted's before this. We were also asked several times about our food. Here is where it went downhill. I ordered a Clam 'Dinner'. I did not count the clams but it was a really small order (Maybe 6 or 7). And most of the clams were pretty big. They seemed like the clams you'd get on special from a restaurant that does not serve clams often. The batter was also not sticking to the clams. Too bad. I used to eat fried clams 1-2 times a year and only at Ted's. I won't be having them there any more. I will return to try a few other things. But not the clams.

It's a very casual spot, so it's an excellent spot for a midday treat. The oyster list is very extensive, and it's hard to pick. But the staff are able to make excellent recommendations. When in doubt, just ask! They brought us 3 different species that were excellent. 5/5. The brown butter lobster roll was the star of the show. The only issue I had with it was that the actual roll (not the lobster) seemed a little undercooked. So it was a bit gooey. But not too gooey that the dish wasn't enjoyable. I wish it was a little bigger given the price as compared to other local lobster rolls. Still was delicious. A solid 4/5.

Instead we had to order to-go and then walk down back to a 'dog area' which is a spot to the left of the building, below the parking area with one picnic table and some chairs in the woods. It was a beautiful sunny day, but we were getting eaten alive by no-seeums, which is not a nice experience when paying $100 for 1 meal with 6 scallops, 4 small pieces of fried fish, fries and slaw, an order of onion rings, a small clam chowder, and 2 beers. And $50 for a small lobster, an ear of corn, and an iced tea. I get that this is a tourist area, but $12 for a beer in a plastic cup and a $7.50 up charge for 6 scallops while being banished to a buggy spot that made eating very uncomfortable is a big no thank you for me. Crossing this place off my list, sadly. The upgrades and changes to this place are not a bonus at all. I'm sad that a place I always felt was friendly and welcoming is now overpriced and we all felt like we were being treated as second class citizens.

Their lobster rolls are yummy. We also had burgers galore in our party. The seating areas are everywhere. One outside parallel to the parking lot. One cozy area next to the souvenir shop.
