We arrived mid afternoon midweek. It was after the lunch rush and before the dinner time. We were greeted by a very friendly and informative staff person. She explained the menu and ordering process. We sat and looked at the menu and ordered at the counter. We found the prices to be very fair for the area. The menu included everything I would expect from a seafood place. The dining area was clean and simple. Our order arrived in what I thought was fairly quick but it was clearly not busy at the time we went. The food was delicious, fresh and the portions were generous for our appetites. The haddock was fresh tasting and lightly breaded. The scallops were medium sized, cooked perfectly and sweet. We also had some fried clams that were the exact size I prefer, the smaller whole bellied clams. The clams were very good as well. We were not a big fan of the fries as they were the shoe string style but they were crisp and lightly seasoned. The coleslaw was different because there was pineapple in it. I was a bit skeptical of the coleslaw but after I tried it I thought, "wow, I kinda like this". I will be returning to this little gem. read more

Pretty decent price thing. And fried to perfection. Full of flavor the chicken tenders are incredibly juicy. The clams don't have any grit to them. Onion rings fried to perfection. Lord's is delicious! I've only had the burgers there, which are smashed and yummy. Beware, though, they are greasy. Coleslaw is good and so are the fries. Employees are always nice, and there are plenty of tables to eat at. Will be returning to try some seafood! read more

I have been to several places for fried clams. Portland Wells bidderford pool Kennbunk . I have been to Lord's at least 6 times this year and it is always consistently the best. Today I tried seafood scampi and fried clams for dessert. Scampi was great. Pasta was a little over cooked for me but I would definitely order it again. Fried clams were 10/10. Vast menu, not just seafood. Had the scallop dinner and clam dinner. Hubby was very happy with the clams and the scallops were passable. The cold slaw has pineapple in it, not tradition, tasty but a bit odd with seafood. And the fries, though tasty are string fries more suited for a fast food place and a rather small portion. We did a take out, our order was for shrimp roll and lobster roll along side of calamari. We enjoyed our calamari. This seems like a must appetizer for my family! Shrimp roll was dynamite, loved how the shrimp was perfectly cooked. Lobster roll was delicious, they give mayo on the side. I found this to be an excellent idea; you can mix as much or as little as you want. And you know mayo is not used as a filler. Our takeout was great and the prices were fair. We try to eat at Lord's in Sanford at least once during the summer. The restaurant is always very clean with a friendly staff. For the first time I ordered the Lazy Lobster $28.95. Advertised as chopped lobster meat from 2 lobsters. What I was served was a single teeny claw and chopped knuckle meat. I fully expected at a minimum of 4 claws and 2 tails. The manager explained the amount was 6 ounces equal to 2 lobsters. The menu is misleading. Very disappointed! No plans to go back or recommend the restaurant. Owners please take note. read more

Been going there about four years with some of the family. Some of my family travels to Sanford every month from Old Orchard. I'm big on clam chowder.
