My car battery was dying and two days prior I had AAA send out a tech (not Hadley) to look at it in hopes of getting replaced. That technician said that it was failing but it wasn't bad enough to replace and I should have it checked again soon. Today, the battery died while at work and AAA dispatched Hadley to take care of my issue. Their response time was extremely quick and almost beat me to my car from my office. The technician looked at the battery and quickly advised why the prior tech didn't replace it...time, money and difficulty to replace. Unlike the other technician, Hadley took great care removing the battery while not losing a charge to my car system. He even did some cleaning around the battery after installation. The technician looked for every opportunity to save me money with the warranty, but I had just missed the free replacement by 4 months, so I got the replacement at a pro-rated discount. Service date, August 31, 2023 at 11:35AM Hadley Tow of Costa Mesa, California- (a Triple AAA agent) refused to change my recently installed battery claiming it was the alternator and not the battery as AAA had replaced it just a few months previously... and as he pointed out the current AAA batteries installation date! This was after he'd conducted what seemed extensive testing using serious testing equipment and whilst I was recovering sitting in his vehicles A/C cooled cab. Seeing my distress after he'd told me of the expensive repair AND that once a Jeep starts to break- it's all costs and repairs in my future... (I cannot agree as this is my seventh new Jeep) he continued as follows- The 'technician 'AmmarM' attempted to trade me a White Mazda 2006 and said he'd take the jeep - disabled and needing a replacement alternator with no questions asked in exchange- he then gave me his private telephone number and his Instagram account saying he'd send me the photographs of the "2006, White Mazda with Low Mileage' via Instagram- he'd asked for my instagram to exchange the automobile photos Usually aware of my surroundings, I was ill and upset and hadn't realised at the time I was a victim of a scam! Who'd have guessed? I was weak as I'm disabled and had been enroute to HOAG Hospital in Newport Beach and so he let me sit in his cab with AC while I awaited the ambulance that I had to call upon learning my Jeep was truly broken down - at the time I thought that was kind and showed empathy I wish to recoup my loss of $225.00 (labour) for Orange Coast Jeeps electrical testing which confirmed as I had said a bad battery had previously been installed by this agent. I'm also out of pocket the new Alternator purchased via eBay, the Vbelt (Serpentine) and other shipping costs. Shameful that a disabled and elderly Veteran would be so cheated and disrespected and NOT realising until the next stage (the tow, 12 days later whilst I saved money for a replacement alternator) that I'd been conned I gave AmmarM my last $10.00 as a tip. Footnote. This HADLEY TOW agent of AAA never did send me these photos- of which I was awaiting whilst enduring the emergency room. When I contacted his private telephone number he declined to respond, however- it's all on text 'threads' as are the notes of disbelief from the Orange Coast Jeep Service Manager who ended up the 'go between' and has noted in writing he'll stand by these facts herein. read more

I called AAA at 6 PM because I broke down on the freeway. They sent me to Hadley towing I called Hadley towing 40 minutes later ask them the status they said driver was on his way 30 more minutes I said OK waited 45 minutes called them back. They said oh they're on their way 20 minutes. I waited 30 minutes call them back, they said driver was 30 minutes out. I called AAA they called Hadley towing and was told 30 minutes and here I am three hours later finally got a hold of somebody who told me that they had no record of my tow request. have been a member of auto club for 40 years.In the time Hadley towing usually has been who was sent out to handle my flat tire or other issues, etc. On July 1, 2024 I had a minor issue, the wait time was acceptable, but I thought it was strange they sent out two vehicles for my issue. The first one I guess was just to watch the other technician and the second technician was the one that was going to do the service. I was disrespected and mistreated by both of these men to the point that by the time they left, I was shaking and in tears. The treatment I received is bad enough that I may cancel my auto club membership because I no longer can trust the vendors that auto club is using. I want to make things very clear. If it wasnt for 3rd towtruck driver hadley towing, sent this review would be an absolute zero. The 3rd driver AAA had sent me from hadley was actually a good person. I needed a tow today(05/27/24) and AAA sent me hadley towing to help me with my van. The first towtruck driver who came to "help" told me that he couldnt tow my van in the state that it was in with a flatbed so he requested to get the tow truck changed to a standard tow truck. 2nd guy comes along with the standard towtruck, looks at the van and tells me he cant tow my van but he will tow it if i pay him money out of pocket. I dont know if he was actually talking to dispatch or not but he got on a call and said he was talking to his boss and his boss said i needed to pay money in order for my vehicle to be towed coz it was "out of warranty" so i refused the service. he then asked me again "So you dont want to pay?" I then refused and he responded with "then ok then i cant help you", and got in his truck getting ready to leave. before driving off He also told me to call insurance because my van is totalled. For a bent fender that happened because my front wheel fell out?. After hours and hours of being on call with AAA asking for help they sent me hadley again and fortunately the 3rd driver wasnt some scammer tow driver trying to get money out of me. My experience with the driver who had helped me completely makes up for the other 2 who were a complete joke. Theres 2 reasons why i wrote this review. Its to give recognition to the 3rd driver who had helped me and give him the 5 star service he deserves, but also for hadley to look into that second driver and investigate why he was trying to charge me cash to tow my vehicle when the 3rd tow truck driver was able to help me free of charge. People like the 2nd driver should not be allowed to assist customers if he will try anything to scam them out of money for something that is covered by AAA. I will also be writing a formal complaint with AAA against the 2nd driver from Hadley Towing for trying to scam me for cash. read more

I had a tire blow out on the freeway. it was a really bad place and I could not exit my vehicle safely. I also had my dog with me. It was taking everything I had in m me, to not have a melt down. I called AAA and they sent Hadley Tow out to assist. Angel was literally my angel. They way he pulled up, he provided protection for me to safely get out of my vehicle, with my dog. He told me that he was going to tow my vehicle to safe place and we could go from there. He opened the door of his truck and was an absolute gentleman. He made me feel safe and then we came up with a plan. It was New year day, so we could not find an open tire store. He ended up putting my spare on for me, but only after exhausting other options. He handled the items in my trunk with care and was nothing but professional. I went from near meltdown, to feeling very grateful for the assistance.
