We are now regular at Hadramout. We usually get their chicken or lamb Mandi and it is always so flavorful. My favorite part is their biryani rice - they are so flavorful and mouth watering. My two year old also love their food! So I can tell you all that this place is baby approved! I would like to try more items on their menu, but since this place is literally a road trip for us I always end up getting Mandi and avoid doing any experiments. First off, the guys who run this place are some of the friendliest staff/owners that I've ever encountered. I had ordered online via GrubHub only to find upon my arrival that they had run out of some things I had ordered. They spent the time to help me pick some alternatives and generously threw in several non-domestic drinks/sodas that I was curiously looking at while waiting for my order. Now, onto the food - so flavorful! The sambusas were so delicious that I wish I had ordered more. My boyfriend also couldn't get enough of the Zurbian lamb, which was so full of spices! And while I only ordered teh chicken shawarma because they had run out of the Hanith chicken, it ended up being my favorite dish. The best part of it all was the portion sizes. They are HUGE. Did a take out order where I ordered beef sambosa, cheese sambosa, chicken mandi, lamb Mandi and Hanith chicken. Everything tasted great and ordering was easy. I've never had a cheese sambosa and it was savory and crisp. The beef ones did not disappoint. The meat on the rice dishes were super soft and the portions were great. Im Yemeni and it was my first time at this restaurant! My friends and I drove from Dallas to check it out on the weekend and absolutely loved it!! I wish the interior decor and design was either modern looking or traditional. It wasn't comforting inside the restaurant. The food was delicious, specifically the meat! We got Lamb and Chicken and WOW... so tender and seasoned so well! The Fatoush salad wasn't the best I've ever had but still delicious. Hadramout is an authentic taste of Yemeni cuisine. Everything I tried here was delicious the service was quick and speedy and I would strongly recommend if you would like to try a new type of food. The place does not come with bells and whistle's it's not super fancy but the food is delicious and that's why you should go. I would skip on the appetizers and be sure to prioritize either the lamb or chicken dishes with rice they are quite good. The food used to be great, nice staff and prices are reasonable. I've been going there almost once a week with my friends since they reopened last year. Unfortunately the quality has been degrading overtime, until last Thursday where my friends and I had food poisoning there, where we had to call out from work and stayed in bed for three days! I ordered a baked fish with no rice and a chicken shawrma with no rice also but french fries instead. I loved the chicken shawrma and the fries so much they were so delicious. But I was super excited to try the baked fish as my friend recommended it to me. I was a little disappointed. The seasoning was amazing but the baked fish was cold, and not completely baked. I thought that I was gonna get a new hot baked fish because I waited a little bit but in the end I waited because they were making the chicken shawrma and the fires not the fish. Heck yes I recommend this restaurant! Service is great and the food is even better! The lamb , chicken and fish is amazing, but the lamb is the best. Went a second time and tried the "biryani" rice and it was very good. The flavors for all the dishes taste like it had been cooking for days. Absolute bonanza of food, authentic Arabic food, very low price, fresh cooked, extremely delicious and super large portions. This is not one of those cheap fake falafel places, where owners buy food from restaurant depot and cook it on a grill, this was an experience with food cooked in detailed artistry and mastery - absolutely delicious. You can sit inside or patio, clean place, moderate furnishings and very very courteous staff. Hamza served with happiness and help explaining the menu, disinterested in tips only goal was to satisfy their customers. That he did, not just because of the hospitality but the quality and quantity of food. If you are lamb lover than look no further, chicken cooked in several different ways all authentic true Arabic cuisine cooked to perfection. This place is so good! We had the lamb mandi and chicken hanith and both were super good. Next time I want to try the lamb hanith, as I heard it's even better. The lamb and chicken are super flavorful, and the rice is so fragrant. The food is fairly priced too. I'm SO glad that Houston finally has a Yemeni restaurant! If you're a fan of rice and meat this place is a must to try. I'm a big fan of lamb so I always gravitate towards the lamb options but their chicken is equally flavorful too. Try the Haneeth, Zorbian, Mandi or Kabsa and you will not be disappointed. Their Fahsah is pretty good too. Have heard good reviews about their shawarma as well but haven't personally tried it yet. I also love the fact that it's managed by young college going kids who're working hard to share a piece of their beautiful culture w Houstonians. The pride in their culture is expressed in the quality of the food! Yemeni cuisine was a missing jewel in the diverse food scene of Houston and am so glad these guys are here. The flavors are out of this world, so pure... no overload of random spices. Just pure flavor like cinnamon, raisins, and some other stuff. Perfectly slow cooked, our favorites are the hanith, kebsa and zurbian (both chicken and lamb). The meat literally falls off the bone...
