So.... what an adventure to drop in here way far away near the Walkersville area of Frederick. The rink itself looks like it could be from any era in the last 50 years, but really, what do you want from an ice skating rink? Parking is easy. Finding the location is easy. Going to the register and paying for your pass and rental (if you don't have your own skates) is easy. The cost is incredibly low - I feel like they were cheaper than when I was in high school back in the day in a land far far away from this place. Anyhow, getting your skates, also incredible easy. They have lockers for your stuff that cost you, wait for it, 2 quarters! So cute! They have a few vending machines, mostly ice cream, and a snack bar where you can get some cheap food and beverages. It is not expensive by any measure. They have teams and others who train and play here, but they have open skates. The open skates are usually on the weekends. And, again, wow, I could not believe how cheap. We had a great time skating, but since we're not 12 year old children, our bodies were a little less flexible and a lot more sensitive, so we didn't even last the whole 1.5 hour session. Ha ha! We still had a fabulous time, and will probably go back winter holidays 2024 for a new tradition. In other words - highly recommended for a cheap, short adventure!

Nice big place with lots of aisles for wandering around The booths are mostly very small but neat and clean. There are a lot of the "shelf" type of displays, and they are almost all very tidy and clean. The restroom is always neat and clean too, just putting that in there. Before the pandemic, they had a nice coffee table with some cookies etc on it when you came in. Unfortunately it will be my last visit there. It seems to be a "masks optional" place now and I'm not interesting in shopping in a store with that kind of ethic. Given that most of the staff and customers seem to be over 55 and have some weight challenges and other obvious health issues, I was surprised that none of the staff and several customers were all happily not wearing masks. And one of the older staff members was chatting in the aisles with equally bare faced customers. One guy was coughing. So, the upside is, if you're the kind of person who could care less about others in your community and refuse to wear a mask, stop on by. If you do care about your fellow man or your own health, give it a pass.

We love the new colorful and spacious gym! They maintain a welcoming, fun and clean environment for everyone to enjoy. The staff is so kind, patient and have so much energy! My daughter's development has progressed so much since starting her at 9 months old. She's now 19 months old and has learned so many skills such as how to jump, kick a ball, walk forward and sideways on the beam, correct hand grasp on the bars/rings, and so much more! I personally love watching all the kiddos dance and follow along to the "hello" song at the start of each class. Mrs. Tiffany is doing such a wonderful job and I'm so excited for years to come!
