So, I went to Amber-Renee to have my blond hair blended with the silver coming in...and I just wanted to stop coloring my hair! The 1st time she did the blending and did a good job except she has a thing for Farah Fawcett from the 80's and sent me out with that 80's hair style that she loved and I spent over 120$ for that visit. The second time I went in she looked at me and said "who are you?" and actually told me she had just talked to the person who had my appt. slot and I was not who she was expecting...I thought that was a bit weird but...so she proceeded to put the blond back in my hair didn't do any lightening around my face which I asked for many times and didn't listen to one word I said about accenting the silver and grey. This visit I spent over 130$ and she was so proud of her farah look. I cancelled the 3rd visit. After spending that kind of money I expect my hair to be what I ask for and I expect the person that I am trusting my hair to and spending all those hours with to at least know a little about what I want...IMHO Amber does not listen...likes to talk about herself a lot and doesn't really care about her clients...which is why I made the decision to seek out another hair stylist. After spending all that time and money with her she never even cared enough to call and find out what the problem was...hopefully this review will spare someone else Update: Amber that is just not true you charged me the exact same amount the second time as the 1st 120$ and you are right I do tip very well I was so unhappy with the blond that I explicitly asked you for silver...you didn;t even hear me....I asked for a lot of lightness around the face...*crickets*...you didn't even have a "card or record" for me you told me that. you didn't listen to what I asked you to do...I went to Sally's to get the supplies needed to do what I asked you for in the 1st place. As I stated earlier you may have a good knowledge for color but IMHO you do not listen to your clients and you have yourself up there on a bit of a pedestal...and personally I don't care if you have 100 Susan's coming there when I spend almost 300$ on 2 hair visits it's nice to be appreciated and acknowledged. read more

I went to Amber-Renee for a hair styling and makeup prior to going to a photographer for a website photo. I had not been to her before but picked her because of the good reviews. They are all true! Amber-Renee is an artist. I have always had trouble with my hair falling flat within minutes of leaving a hair salon but if I used strong hair spray it looked too set. My hair stayed in place all day and looked loose, natural and beautiful. The makeup she did was excellent, perfect for a business photo. The photographer kept commenting what a great job she did on the makeup and wanted to know who did it. The photos turned out great! I never knew I could look so good! read more
