I texted Ben in the morning to see if Jane had an appointment same day. They squeezed me in at 430p. Jane did a wonderful job as always but $80 for a short hair cut was steep. I usually get the cut tacked on with my magic straight so I forgot how much it costs by itself nowadays. *Note to self, must reserve for once in three months maintenance if possible. Jane is skillful and always makes sure the client is happy before leaving their establishment.

They use high-quality products, and even after coloring, my hair didn't feel dry or damaged at all. I've been to many salons over the years, and Mai Hair Story is easily a solid 5 stars for me. Mai did a good job, however the color was just not what I had asked for. I reached out to her that same night to explain and politely asked if we could adjust the color and touch it up. She responded right away and saw me the next day to fix the color, free of charge. I'm much happier with my hair now and very grateful that she adjusted it! The staff offered me snacks and Miriam especially was so sweet and made sure I was comfortable when washing my hair! Downsides, my hair does feel very dry and damaged now. They were pretty busy and my stylist was alternating between me and two other women, even though I had an appointment. It kind of felt like they forgot about me at times and they left the color and bleach in my hair for a very long time without checking on me regularly. Overall, I'm not sure that I will return because it is fairly expensive. But I do really appreciate Mai fixing my color!
