Jane and Ben are the best at what they do! I've been getting my hair treated here for the past 4 yrs (2023, 2024 and 2026). I had a hair cut, keratin treatment and straight perm. I always reach out to them via Yelp and they easily respond to the request. I had my consult in which they look at the length and density of my hair and they provide me with recommendationa of my request. The whole hair process took about 4.5 hrs since I have thick long (past shoulder length hair). During the process they continue to make sure I was comfortable and even provided me water and snacks while I was sitting and waiting for my hair treatment. Everyone was nice and friendly here, and it's a nice salon. I found it online and decided I wanted a treatment for my partially bleached hair so I had called to ask a few questions over the phone They recommended a keratin treatment Prices were not given over the phone so make sure you ask before you get any services. I have hair thats at my shoulders and I was quoted for "medium length hair" so it would be 200 for a keratin and collagen treatment They offer 20% off but it still ends up being 190 something after tip. He said my hair would feel heavy the next few days, so basically they put on a deep conditioner and they dont really style it afterwards because you can't shampoo or apply too much heat. They charged me 173.00 plus tip. I won't be coming back because the prices don't make sense and they try to book you as soon as possible without going over the prices. Also I mentioned to the owner that I had just colored my hair a couple of weeks ago and got a toner elsewhere (80$) I also mentioned that my hair was clean and shampood last night. They still washed my hair for almost 10 mins ( a lot of my hair dye and gray toner came out). And then they wash again to rinse out the product I wouldn't recommend if you have color in your hair since it will go through intense washing and repeating. Also at the end they tell me that in order for my hair to become more shiny and smooth I need at least a couple more treatments So (400$+ dollars more) Although my hair does feel soft I don't feel like the price Is worth it for temporary results. read more

12/20/25 My church lady was out of town so I needed to get my short hair trimmed. Once it starts to curl at my shoulders, it's time to cut it down. I called yesterday to book my appointment. My hair needed a proper haircut fur summer. I also had damaged hair from bleaching and dying. I went in after work today. Came here based on Yelp reviews and Jane did not disappoint. They were able to take me in with a days notice thankfully as I do not live in the area. They were so friendly and nice as soon as I walked in. I got a haircut, hair treatment, and one color dye. Everything turned out great! I felt like a million dollars walking out. All my gray hairs were covered. My haircut made me look younger and fresh. I am definitely coming back for a haircut! Jane is their master hairstylist, so you do pay a premium for her services. Just beware you pay for what you get. While my hair was setting they offered me drinks and snacks which was really nice of them. I brought my daughter in too for a haircut and they kindly looked after her and offered her snacks as well, but my daughter is also a teenager so she didn't need looking after. I don't know where this place got a 4+ rating from! I went in to get hair tinsel at this salon because Ben said he was a "specialist" when he responded back to my email through Yelp. PLEASE avoid this place at all cost! He pulled and broke my hair in large "chunks". I went in for some simple tinsel in my hair. I've had tinsel before and NEVER have I dealt with pain and broken hair like this so called professional Ben, gave me. He wrapped my hair several times around the applicator that has a hook on it, and proceeded to pull the hair and tinsel through the "knot" he created! I should have left immediately. What he didn't know is that I'm a professional stylist. I KNOW what a professional salon is and this one definitely is not. The stylist was Jane and she seems quick and experienced with her work. There are other services available within the space such as extensions, lash and brows, and hair dyes. I went to the Beauty Box and got a collagen hair treatment done only no cut for 190$ not including tip. I have long thick slightly wavy hair. They washed it first then put on the treatment, covered my hair with a hair net that they used an air machine and a timer for my hair. They did this twice and then washed my hair and used a straightener to press the treatment product into my hair. They blew dry my hair and straighten it. They told me to wait 2-3 days before washing my hair and that it would feel heavier and thicker than normal. Finally after a few days of seeing and feeling my hair, it feels and looks soo amazing. Yesterday I got balayage + trim + collagen treatment for around $600 and that price was with their 2023 New Year Price Off Promo (FYI they upcharge if you have a lot of hair) I spent about an 1hr consulting then about 4hrs for the whole process I haven't dyed my hair in years cus I got tired of dealing w/ grown out root look, same reason why I wanted Balayage done When I checked my hair today.. it looked like I did a ombré over my grown out dyed hair :( this was something I wanted to avoid and I thought this message was clear from the start.. I loved it at the shop but after taking a closer look at home.. honestly I'm not sure if Balayages suppose to look like the photos I shared and idk if it was worth the time & money I'm going to buy some purple shampoo/hydrating hair mask as the master hair stylist suggested, hope it'll improve within time so I can post a positive review of the outcome.. So I don't typically share my experience but I do feel inclined to. I came a Monday evening, the only customer besides one woman on her way out. Ben greeted me and did a consultation right away. He said for what I wanted which was a blonde balayage it would be 3 bleaching processes, two day of and one more in a months time. I told him that was fine and I don't mind being brown to start, but that is still with a balayage, and I showed him a reference picture to what I was expecting which was a cool ash brown. This is important to what the results ended up being. He suggested that I get a collagen/keratin treatment since I had some damaging and went over the pricing for all this, as well as adding that typically they charge more for thick and long hair which was a surprise to me as this has never come up before at any salon I've gone to, as my hair is fairly normal if just wavy as well as not even to the mid of my back. It is by far the most expensive price point for services that I've ever experienced, being upwards of $600 even with their discount promotion going on, not including tip which I always do because I understand what it's like to work in a customer service position, but just thought I would get what I paid for. I added that I wanted to do some layering as well and he suggested I thin my hair out since I have a lot of hair. He then proceeds to introduce me to Jane , who is a master colorist for balayage he said, and joy who is assisting her at the time. Both women were very sweet the entire time asking if I was ok or if I needed anything. I did not feel uncomfortable at all the entire time. They started with the hair treatment, and then did the hair cut/ layering I asked for before moving on to bleaching my hair. It was a 5-5.5hr process. I noticed while they were working that they didn't touch my roots which I thought was weird and thought maybe they would do a root melt later on. My hair lifted very warm/ orange which is typical for me as I have natural red undertones in my naturally black hair like the rest of my family, but again this has never been an issue before when I go to get my hair done, as they just use a cool toned toner to cancel it out. My hair didn't have any previous color on it as well, just previous bleach on the ends from previous highlights that ended up getting cut off in the hair cut anyway. They start to apply the toner after the bleaching process, and I noticed it coming out very red after processing on my head. I thought maybe it would look different once dry but to my surprise, instead of the cool toned brown I showed them in the picture, my hair was very much still red/ orange, and without the look of a balayage. It looked more so like a normal color and highlight.?Jane asked me if I liked it at which point I didn't say anything as I'm not a confrontational person so being put in that position is awkward for me. Ben came over asking if I liked it, to which I said , well it's very red. Ben then proceeded to say it is a hard color to get to and that the color on my head looked good too, and that I lifted very orange. Jane styled my hair very pretty and took pictures outside at which point I went inside to pay. They gave me a free gift which was appreciated and nice of them for being a first time client. Overall, while they are very nice people, personally I would not come back. Ultimately what I got isn't what I asked for or what was agreed to. I went home and toned it myself waiting a day to see if it would grow on me, which it didn't. I booked a hair appointment since I am going on vacation and wanted to feel good about my hair, but ended up crying at home for how it looked. I see a lot of good reviews for their hair color services, and I do like them as people, they were all very sweet and nice so maybe it was the one time, but this is my experience. I don't think they were as comfortable working on my hair, but I do appreciate Jane trying her best. Hopefully this helps someone out. read more

The couple running this business was so sweet I debated for a month on leaving a negative review... But I spent $420 on a dye and cut service where I asked for past chest hair length and a dark brown color. I left with shoulder length hair and flat black. The woman doing my hair insisted I go black because it would wash out and I told her I've been dyeing my hair for 15 years and I would like to do dark brown instead. Even her husband told her we should use brown and she convinced us otherwise. It's been over a month and barely any of the color came out. I paid extra to do a clinic to ensure my hair texture stayed healthy and I'm not sure what they used but I came out with the driest hair I've ever had in my LIFE. Mind you I've bleached and colored my hair very often and there was never a time I've felt my hair feel as brittle as I did after this appointment. The cut was also nothing like the inspo photo I showed the stylist so the whole experience was extremely disappointing as I spent 4 hours and a lot of money at this salon. read more

I have gotten my hair cut at Beauty Box three times. i was happy with their services until they remodeled. I had planned on getting a cut and color, and while the $75 haircut ($70 because I was a "new" customer) was an average and expected price, the cost of a color was not. to color your entire head was $200 and to color just the roots was $170. I used to go to another salon the same caliber as Beauty Box, and I could get a cut and full-head color for $126, not counting tip. The cut I got was okay but nothing near the picture I showed my stylist. she, however, thought it looked like the picture. I will not be going back. read more

I told the stylist I only wanted an inch off the ends, but she chopped off four inches instead. I showed her a picture of the layered look I wanted, and she did the complete opposite. I tried to give her a chance to fix it while she was cutting, but had to cut the session short (no pun intended) because she wouldn't stop thinning out my hair with her shears from hell. In the end, the cut was a disaster, so I had to buy my own shears and fix it myself. Now, I'm stuck waiting six months for my hair to grow back and hopefully regain the fullness I lost. read more

Ben and Jane were an absolute joy! I had a great experience with the Beauty Box. I researched a lot of hair salons in the area and eventually settled on the Beauty Box. I loved the subtleness of Jane's balayages (where the highlights aren't super 'contrasty') and how natural the final results look. It was easy to schedule an appointment with Ben - he was quick to respond and actually quite fun to chat with! When you first come in, they'll do a consultation with you to explain the process and break down the pricing. Ben answered all of my questions and we were able to settle on a price that fit within my budget. I really appreciated the time they take to do this rather than feeling rushed through the treatment. Although I asked for a lighter color at first, they recommended going with a slightly darker tone to avoid too much damage. Though actually, in the end Jane was able to lighten my hair a lot more which was a pleasant surprise! It also wasn't damaged too much - I think the Olaplex hair treatment they recommend makes a difference here. Last time I dyed my hair was 5 years ago and I ended up having to cut it all off because the previous stylist bleached it to death - this wasn't the case here. It's clear Jane knows what she's doing and she gives helpful recommendations based on the health of your hair. The color came out so beautiful! I am in love with it! I also loved how she cut my hair - I asked for a slightly layered look with a lot of thinning, and whispy bangs - and she did a fantastic job. Two months later and I am still so happy with it.
