After having my third appointment cancelled with Homa I tried someone new for a keratin treatment. And that's when it worked. So yesterday I was called by the place I had a hair appointment with last minute and told it was canceled because the stylist called in sick. I was determined to get my hair done so I searched for "full highlights near me" and Homa was the first one that came up. She was able to take me later in the day AND let me tell you I am super glad she did. Homa explained the process and her concerns and made sure I was 100% ok with everything before she started. My hair was dark brown/black (don't judge and let's just blame COVID) and I wanted some pretty light blonde highlights and just to lift some color. It's Spring after all. Well the finished product actually surprised us both. She was able to lift the color more than she thought and I was even more satisfied than I thought (nothing to do with her skills just didn't really go in with high expectations since my hair was so dark). I purchased a Groupon for this place for a haircut and keratin treatment. When I reached out to make an appointment, she asked me to send pics of my hair. She then said I would have to pay an extra $100 for the length and texture of my hair. I've never had to pay extra for the texture of my hair at any other place and I mentioned that the length wouldn't be an issue as the Groupon was for a haircut too and I planned on cutting it shoulder length before the keratin. She then said it would then be an extra $80. Again, I've done my hair many times and never once have had to pay extra. It's ridiculous to try to charge an extra $80 for a keratin treatment for someone with shoulder length non-curly hair. She's obviously just trying to up-charge needlessly. Very dishonest. I reached out to Groupon for a refund. Will definitely not be going here. Would not recommend this place. read more
