I was in search for a new colorist since my old one moved to NorCal. Asian hair can be a challenge to cut and color so I asked my Asian gal pals who they go to for their fabulous color and they both recommended Heather. She's quick on text, so communication was a breeze. Her Instagram is filled with before and after so I could easily see samples of her work before I even sent the chair. Her website is easy to navigate to make appointments. Her prices are on the higher end, but as you can see from my own before and after, it's worth it. You'll need to make a deposit before you book an appt but she applies it to your total at the end. As for the salon itself, she's inside the Sola suites which is on the backside of the shopping center (facing 99 Ranch, she's around to the right side of the building). Her suite is clean and her assistants are nice and take her direction well. Don't forget to tip them too! read more

Heather cut my hair many years ago on which I based all my haircuts on following her amazing haircut. I think because I moved I ended up not seeing her for a while. Recently, someone gave me a haircut that grew out so poorly. I needed hair color correction and decided to make the drive to see Heather again, I'm so happy I did. For the last six months, my color hasn't faded as badly due to her recommendations and tips. I have been going to Heather for my hair since at least 2010. There have been a few times I've strayed, and have always regretted it afterwards and go back to Heather. Just like everything in life, you get what you pay for. If you want high quality, healthy, vibrant hair, you won't get it from Supercuts. The products and technique Heather has spent years mastering is an investment in yourself. I have always left Heather's chair feeling like a new woman and the outcome always exceeds my expectations. I am still in disbelief with my hair transformation! I love my new look so much! I went in to see Heather with my thick virgin Asian hair and she and her assistant worked their MAGIC! I appreciate how thorough Heather is and how efficient she is to ensure my hair is cared for and of course for the colors to blend properly. In the past I've gotten my hair fried by other people and have done color correction and end up paying for the damage along with the time and cost for correction. Heather was realistic with me on what is achievable with this visit. I followed Heather on Instagram a few years back when I moved to Irvine and been wanting to get my hair done by hair for so long and I'm so happy it finally happened! The balayage highlights is what my hair desperately needed for dimension and shine. Went to Heather with blonde highlights, asked for a blonde balayage, and left with green and orange hair!!!! While Heather was doing my hair I was shocked and initially amazed at how fast she completed it. I mean she did a full balayage and blow dry within three hours.... and I have thick hair. Little did I know that (1) she did not dye my roots in the back and (2) she hurried and overtoned my hair. Keep in mind I paid almost $700. For that much money, the service should've been impeccable, and I should've left looking amazing. Highlights should be the most fresh when you first leave the salon, but I had what I like to call " dead " lights. I left and cried, and by the third day I just couldn't handle it so I contacted Heather and she was not having it. Granted by the end of the phone call I did receive a full refund, but never did she take accountability. She kept insisting that she did nothing wrong and that I come back and that she would use clarifying shampoo. Well here's what wrongs with that statement: the whole point of clarifying shampoo is to get out green tones. So why would she have to use that if she didn't make my hair green!!! Not to mention she overtoned my previous blonde hair to GREY. Hair is one of those things that even when you get a refund, you're still stuck with the mess the hair stylist made. For 3 weeks, no hairstylist would touch my hair, and I just felt absolutely hideous. Looking back at her other work, there's actually a pretty solid pattern of grey, green, and orange within her clients hair. Ladies, gents, and hair enthusiasts, if you leave the salon with GREEN hair, it's because the hair stylist was being lazy and either (1) did not use the right bleach, (2) did not leave the bleach on for long enough, and (3) tried to cover their mess with toner. Additionally, during my appointment with her, she kept insisting that I needed a haircut because my current cut was " uneven ". Well for one, a good hairstylist doesn't point out mistakes, they just fix it. And two, the haircut she gave me was horrible. I left and later realized she forgot to cut a long piece on both sides. It made it pretty obvious to me that she was just trying to make business. Constantly throughout my whole time with her she was making comments about my hair, and how yellow or Orange it was . Like helloooo that's why I booked an appointment with you, no need to make such remarks. All in all, I think she rushed my hair and therefore ruined it. And for such a VIP price, she did not treat me like a VIP client. Maybe Heather will take her time with her new clients in the future - at least I hope so! read more

Heather does an amazing job every time! I initially scheduled an appointment for babylights only. When I got to the salon, I expressed wanting a haircut and she made time for my late request without hesitation. The babylight, root melt, and haircut only took 2 hours which is perfect because I was limited with time. Mind you it would have taken 4-6+ hours at other salons! Then when my stylist was putting the foils halfway down my hair I reminded her I did not want a balayage and wanted more natural lighter highlights just around my face. She explained what she was doing would create natural highlights throughout. I figured she's supposedly the expert. Sure enough when she removed the foils I had a balayage. Then when she tried to fix it, she made it worse as I now have striped copper lines in my hair. Not light brown, like I asked, they're copper!! Literal stripes down my head, it's quite embarrassing and I wore a hat for the rest of the day. And I'll have to continue to cover my hair until I can get it fixed elsewhere. They look worse in person than in the photos too. Soooo frustrating and especially so because when I called to make the appointment I specifically ask for someone with a lot of experience as I have not had my hair colored or highlighted in a long time and I wanted a very natural lighter highlight.

Sarah came to my rescue - I showed her a picture of the look I wanted and explained my concerns, and she really took the time to listen and understand exactly what I was going for but at the same time taking into account of my hair's health. To ensure to stays the right amount of healthy I asked for a brown ashy shade, and she recommended milk tea brown shade with a bit more ash than normal to reach my targeted shade! She absolutely nailed it. The color came out so close to the reference photo, and it suits me perfectly. You can tell she cares about getting it right and making sure her clients feel comfortable throughout the process. Overall, I'm really happy with how my hair turned out and would definitely come back again for future touch ups with Sarah !
