I found Bree through Instagram and although I was hesitant of making this appointment at first, her portfolio on ig persuaded me into messaging her and I couldn't of been happier. Since it's been years from my last (professional) hair cut( I had been "DIY"ing my hair, especially since Covid-19 and it was a mistake on my part. Do not trust YouTube if you still have to go into public... especially if you still have to go to work) I noticed my ringlets going flat and losing a ton of my volume. I needed help bad. A Solano community graduate (Salon tech), I had good conversations, I was offered drink and snack while getting my hair did, and she was on point with my hair as I really like it. However, I think I was totally spoiled with Adam from Waikiki. She forgot to put a little Vaseline along my forehead so the color wouldn't stick to my skin so much after the rinse. The massage during my rinse was good but I think it could've been a little longer. Alyssa only does color and extensions which she seems to be knowledgeable about, but I was kinda hoping to find a one stop shop for doing a perm once in a while. I was pressed for time as my family and I were in the process of moving, trying to get my son's school situated, and was going to a wedding in half moon bay at the end of August. I paid around…read more$200 for a color service, and while my hair looked beautiful immediately after the appointment, over the following weeks it became extremely dry and developed significant breakage. At first, I assumed it was my products, so I switched to color-safe shampoo and conditioner and changed my routine before concluding there was a bigger issue. I recently had to pay for an additional treatment with another stylist because my hair had become so dry and brittle. This wasn't my first experience with similar issues after seeing this stylist, and I've never had this level of breakage after having my hair colored by other stylists. What disappointed me the most was the customer service. When I initially reached out, I was offered a refund. After explaining the condition of my hair, that refund was later withdrawn because it had been two months and I had seen another stylist. However, I only saw another stylist because I was trying to repair the condition of my hair. I also don't typically have my hair colored every few weeks it's usually several months between appointments so the damage wasn't immediately obvious to me. I understand that all color services carry risks, but I was disappointed that my concerns were ultimately dismissed after a refund had already been offered. I can only speak from my own experience, but based on both the results I experienced and how the situation was handled, I won't be returning.
