I'm 55 years old and have never had a haircut/trim that took less than 15 minutes- even when I had cancer and very little hair growth. I think I was so bewildered I just didn't know how to react/respond. I didn't get hair washed because it didn't need it- curly hair but thought she would dampen it to cut layers- stylist insisted it was better to cut it dry. After the 8 min cut she "fluffed" up my now frizzy dry hair and asked if I wanted product in it? Really for what? Didn't even attempt to "style" it. I guess it paid off good for her though because I was foolish enough to pay $30 +tip. I will stick to having "free" unqualified self haircuts if this is the new professional experience of a salon. read more

What I came in for, showed pictures and discussed, was not what I left with. I am going to have to have it fixed elsewhere to get my desired look. I spent $220 plus tipping and I will have to spend that plus more to get it corrected. That's alot of money. I wish it turned out blonde instead of light brown like I desired. It has no dimension and looks very brassy. The exact opposite of what I wanted and worried about happening. Just disappointed. read more

I don't know if it is this specific location or the chain in general, but there is a high amount of turnover at this location for sure. Each time I have booked an appointment over the past 6 months, I find that my previous hair dresser has left. It just makes it difficult to have to explain my style preferences each time. read more

I went in for a trim of my bangs and I walked out looking like Little Debbie. I was charged full price for a hair cut and wash, not one piece of my hair was ever wet. Who trims bangs with dry hair and if you do, who chops them so much? I said right at my eye brow line, apparently she heard Make me look a Snack Cake Girl. I will never, ever go back there and would not recommend them to my worst enemy. read more

This review is strictly just for color. I love coming here for a cut and Ryan and Kristy are some of the best I recommend. I had an appointment Friday morning at 9 with no one in particular. My usual salon was completely booked for the next few weeks and my birthday was coming up. I wanted to freshen up my look and do something different with my brunette hair. I opted for a blonde balayage/ombré style that I've done before and it came out beautifully. However, this would be my first time getting it done outside my usual salon. I did my research and asked around and found this Hair Cuttery does well with color so I gave it a try. In the end, just ok. I was schedule with Jo, whom I think is the assistant manager and was very nice. We clicked right away and I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she understood what I was looking for. Somewhere there was a miscommunication. She started doing my blonde fouls and we were chatting away and few hours later, the rinse, tone, etc were ready to begin. After getting cleaned up, she began cutting my layers, which I wanted, to clean up my ends and I also opted for bangs which was a big deal because I haven't had bangs in years. In the end, the cut wasn't too bad, but the layers were choppy and I think she thinned out my hair too much which was not at all what I wanted. The color on the other hand looked nothing like the photo I had shown and what we had talked about. She had done the lightest blonde underneath my hair and gradually darker going up toward the top of my head instead of an ombré style. At first, I thought it was ok when I left the salon 5 hours later, but as I looked at it throughout the day, I noticed a few mishaps such as the numerous lines of demarcation, and the coloring did not blend well. I called later that night to make a early appointment the next morning to fix it. I was scheduled with Kristy that morning and she was able to fix the majority of the issues within 2ish hours. Overall, I love going here for a cut especially with Ryan or Kristy. I would recommend this Hair Cuttery to friends and family for cuts, but make sure to ask for Ryan or Kristy for coloring, too. read more

In the beginning of July (against my better judgement) I tried a new salon. I was left with yellow straw for hair (they didn't use a toner) and it was so upsetting. I went back to Hair Cuttery and was fortunate to have Julia as my stylist. She asked a bunch of questions to help determine how we were going to fix my hair. I left the salon that day feeling sooooo good! She made my hair feel healthy again and advised me how I can do my part at home to keep it healthy. I went back for a touchup a couple weeks ago (with Julia, of course) and it's in even better shape. I could not be happier with the way Julia takes time to really learn about your hair, what you want it to look like, and explain how to get there. She is very friendly and welcoming as well, and I am so lucky to have found her :) read more

After reading all the reviews I decided to go there and have a partial highlight done I was in a big hurry to have it done my normal salon I go to takes at least a week to get in. don't like the place took my mom there once and it was OK so we decided to go a second time and totally different people were there and the girl did not know how to cut my mom's hair she kept asking like that like that and then she neglected dry my mom's hair Left it all wet and did not give her the senior discount as well so I'm never going there again very bad experience read more

I'm horrible with names and I'm sorry to the 2 girls who were so kind to me and I can't remember your names. But let me say, as a mom of 2 young kids, going to the salon is a treat. My son fell asleep but my daughter was rambunctious and full of energy. Jess played with her, helped her with her coat and gave her tons of attention. I think she was a manager there and that just impressed me beyond my expectations. Natalie also helped me and my 2 kids out the door, it was like a mild blizzard out there this afternoon and this girl didn't even have a coat on. I recently moved here and was looking for a good salon to get my hair cut at. I came across Hair Cuttery on google and decided to go there. I love my hairstylist Ryan. He did a great job on my hair. I definitely recommend him to anyone, who is looking for someone that does amazing work. Also, Amber took care of my daughter hair and was super nice. Thank you for all you do. I went in for a quick haircut and the stylist takes me back for a wash. Ok, no big deal. They do this from time to time. But here's the thing, not once did she ask me if I wanted a wash or let me know it would be an extra $6. All other times it was complimentary. Not a lot of money, but as a business practice you can't go around charging people for services and not giving them the option to decline or accept first. So yea, that was fun. I've been here about four of five times. Each time i've gotten a different stylist. I've gotten my hair dyed and cut each time. This is the one place I know I can go get a hair cut and I won't leave in tears. They always do a great job here. I even let the last stylist wax my eyebrows. I think her name may have been Kristy. I have eyebrows that are just plain hard to work with, they grow kind weirdly. But she managed to do a pretty decent job with them. The prices here are decent and I've never had to wait long for a walk in. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who lives in the area. read more

I saw Ash and she gave me the best haircut I have ever had. I have curly hair with an unusual curl pattern which she admitted she'd never seen before. She listened to me when I described my challenges and normal routine, suggested useful products and tools and showed me some esy, new techniques to atyle my hair. I have always left hair appts. with the attitude that as long as they didnt ruin my hair, i was happy. Ash blew me away with this cut. Its the first cut I've ever loved. I left the shop beaming! I went there after reading so many good reviews. I am sure they have some good hair stylist, but i wasn't lucky to get them. My haircut was below average-she was done with my hair in 10 minutes or less. Didn't get rid of my split ends. It didn't even look like i got a haircut. I have gotten better haircut at Great Clips than this place. Now I have to go for another haircut to fix my hair. read more

I have been going to the salon for many years, and I even went to the previous location, Christy was my stylist for many years, Tonight I went to this salon to get my haircut, there were at least four stylist in the salon, I was the next one to been done, when I heard the young male stylist asking other stylist if they would take the next haircut, they all said no, They told him to call other people in, he called 2 people and no one was going to come, all of this was done in front of the customers, there was one lady behind me, I told them I would be happy to shorten there list and was leaving, as I was getting in my car the other lady and her daughter left, I did not recognize anyone in the salon except the young guy, who was doing nothing, I think the customer service is going down, who would want to wait for anyone to cut there hair after hearing nobody wanted to cut hair. I will not return and neither will all of my family members who have been going there for years. I own my own business and this was uncalled for. read more
