Surprisingly good for a strip mall chain store. Difference? The people here are engaging and talented; they really listen to you when you try to tell them what you want, and do their best to get it done timely. No bologna. They genuinely work to get to know their customers, and some of the stylists apparently have repeats and regulars: always a good sign. I would go here frequently for a trim and usually I do not have a problem. I am normally happy with the service that is given to me. I make an appointment in advance to make sure I am being taken cared of. Today (06-04-26) my normal hairdresser I would see, Amalia, was shampooing my hair when someone walked in and insisted that she takes care of him because he has "short hair". She also insinuated that he would have priority because he called ahead and not me when I made an appointment a week in advanced, and arrived to my appointment 5mins earlier. I have short, curly hair that is sometimes coarse and frizzy, depending on the weather. In the past, I've had the full spectrum of quality haircuts. A couple of weeks ago, Ashley cut my hair and left me with one of the best cuts ever. Each day, it looks and feels just about as good as it can get. Erica did a balayage on my hair, and I love it! She made me feel at ease and listened to the look I was going for. I wanted some red copper tones with blond coming through. It came out looking very natural with lots of dimension. She is a skilled colorist and I highly recommend her. read more

Myself and three of my children got haircuts and mine was the only one they didn't mess up! The people were nice but that didn't make up for the fact that the haircuts were less than stellar! They messed up on trimming up my daughters hair as well as they left a huge fade line on my sons head look like he had a bowl cut afterwards! I would not recommend this place read more

I've been there 3 times Each time had different person cut my hair. They were friendly and did what i asked. Which I think is rare! I have a few problem areas that they blended well. Had my mother go in to do a return on two crappyhair products and the first time we drove there to town 38 minutes ). We got told that the girl did not know how to do a return. So we drove all the way home. Next day we try again and then they say oh you have to return them in the same location store you bought them in. Can't you just offer a damned exchange. If I could give this place 0 stars I would !!! I never go in and get my hair professionally done so my husband and kids got me a $100 gift card to be pampered on my birthday. My husband prearranged an appointment with one of the hair dressers to do my hair to get me out of the house as my family was throwing a surprise 40th party for me. My husband booked my appointment 2 weeks in advance. My family gave me the gift card an hour before my appointment which was at 3:30 on my birthday. I was jumping up and down so excited to actually get my hair done. I even washed and blow dryed it before I left the house. My daughter went with me to make sure I stayed out of the house while my family was decorating etc. Now I know why my hubby booked it before my surprise party. So I could feel good about myself and have a new hair do. I get to Hair Masters 5 min early. One of the ladies working there said can I help you ? I said yes I have an appointment for 3:30. She was looking in her books and said rudely "No you don't" my daughter then said my dad booked the appointment 2 weeks ago. She said well you are not written down. Then they saw I was written down on the calendar and not the appointment book and tried to blame it on us. My daughter said my mom had no idea until an hour ago this was a gift card for $100. Then the lady said "well who did you make an appointment with". We told her the name and she said she wasn't working today. My husband asked the lady 2 weeks ago if she could cut or color my hair for $100 and she said of course I could. Then the ladies started talking badly about the lady not working that was supposed to do my hair. So unprofessional then one of the ladies asked me what I wanted done. I just showed a similar picture nothing fancy. That lady had the odasity to say to me " Well honey their is no way you can get that cut/color for a $100. Remind you this was on my birthday. My feelings were extremely hurt and I was so embarrassed because other customers were listening. I said to my daughter "You know what I can just do this another time". After they were trying to find any hair dresser to do it real quick. I said nevermind and my daughter and I walked out of there. I was almost in tears the way they treated me. I stayed strong in front of my daughter but felt extremely humiliated. My daughter was so upset she called my husband and he said to go and get our money back. My daughter who is 16 wanted to go in by herself. She said I was already embarrassed/hurt enough. My daughter was in there for 10 min. I was just getting ready to walk in there to see what was going on. My daughter told me they couldn't or was having a hard time getting our money back. A customer overheard them and told my daughter. " I can give you $100 cash and you can just give me the gift card. Your mom deserves a nice haircut for her birthday. She went next store to get money out of the cash machine to give to my daughter. I can't believe how unprofessional and rude they were. I will NEVER go back there and I will tell every single person I know not to go there !!! I have been going to Hair Masters for a few years now. Never had a bad hair cut and I really like most of them. The only negative thing is, I will find a hair stylist I like and they are not there for long. Reasonable rates. Sometimes, the rates change depending on the stylist, but $2 extra dollars will not break the bank. read more

I will never go back to this place. They tried to charge me almost $90 to put come color on my 6 years old's short mohawk. We're talking a 5 inch strip of short hair. She tried to say that she would use the same amount of product for anyone's hair. I'm sorry, but that's stupid and I didn't fall for it. At that same time, I was getting an up do for family photos. I asked for a boho style braid that wrapped around my head and then asked for the rest of my hair to be curled slightly. Oh my gosh, this girl did not know what she was doing. I'm not even sure she knew how to French braid. She left a weird small amount of hair at the back (about 3 curls worth) and then clumped my hair on the side of my head because she wasn't sure how to end the braid. It was awful. And over priced. I had to go home and take it all out and redo it myself. This was after I came back to give them another chance. Previously I brought my son in for a cut and they cut his ear with the clippers! The guy wasn't even sorry and didn't even say a word! Never again will go here. They're a fraud! No one here knows what they're doing. read more

I had my wife schedule an appointment because we thought it would be a professional cut, yet even though I was a little early I was made to feel like a burden. The stylist was not friendly as was no one else there and she rushed me to the chair as if I was an inconvenience. Did not offer me a place to hang my coat and when I ask she pointed at a chair I could hang it on. There was no professional cut, she never introduced her self just ask what number I use. I didn't really use a "number" as it should transition. She put on one cutter and did the whole side and back the same length not even noticing the larger pieces of hair coming off the upper section which was pretty obvious. She then made maybe 5 cuts with scissors to the top and then asked me what I thought. I asked if she could do a transition on the sides and she made a few quick cuts to the upper part again and then said "oops" as a chunk falls down. She trimmed the neck and took the apron off and never even asked if that was what I meant. In and Out, could have had a drive through. The only friendly smile I got was after waiting at the cash register while she punched numbers and then "nicely" said that will be $18. This was not a good experience and I personally will not ever go back and if I am asked if I know a good stylist I will say I know where not to go. If your selling your services you should treat the customer as anyone selling a product would. Maybe it was one bad day there, but now I have to have the hair cut. read more
