The staff is so friendly and patient to explain. The store is clean, tidy, the air is cool so not much of smell. The side is delicious too.

Hak San in Torrance is known for their Gopchang, which is grilled beef small intestines. There were posters posted on the wall of all the different types they had. LOL - even their WiFi password was "Intestine." Although that's what they're famous for, we actually didn't partake in the gopchang this time and instead went with their regular Korean BBQ combo - and we were not disappointed. The restaurant has plenty of parking spaces located right in front, so it's easy to access. The ambiance feels authentic and lively, with that classic Korean BBQ setup - built-in tabletop grills, fake brick on the walls, and a warm, casual vibe that makes it great for families or groups. The service was good and attentive, and they helped cook the meat at the table for us, which we always appreciate. The food came out quickly, and everything tasted fresh. The Korean BBQ combo was a great choice. We got the Large Combo A ($115.95) which included: Thinly sliced brisket, pork belly, pork jowl, marinated seared pork ribs, kimchi soup, salad, and even came with steamed egg and corn cheese, which aren't always included at other KBBQ restaurants. My favorites were the marinated seared pork ribs and pork belly. Everything was well-seasoned and tasted great. Quick tip - When you get the bill, you go up and pay at the front.

Wow this spot is amazing! The food is so good such great quality meats and service. 10/10 anything you get you will love I can't wait to come back such a cozy spot and beats the rest of the ones in the area. I can't wait to come back to try more!

My wife had some good experiences here with friends, so we visited as a family. Ordered the brisket, a steamed egg, and an LA galbi. We figured that would be plenty as our son barely eats anything, but we took the server's advice and ordered a second LA galbi. Turns out one would've been plenty, and we took home the rest. Now we know. Service was great, and she grilled the meat for us and was very efficient about it. No complaints here.

The gopchang is great, very juicy and delicious. The best! Same goes with the service. I highly recommend! By the way the salad here is BOMB!

Jowl and beef tongue. Plate size compared to the hand of a 4'11" female. Very small portion. Everyone was shocked for the price charged.

My friends and I have been craving intestine for a long time (since February) and we were extremely sad that Song Hak was closed, so we came to try this place out. There's surprisingly not a lot of banchan variety served with the food. Also, currently, the large combo has a hefty price of $110.99 and the amount given didn't fill up 4 girls (it does say it feeds 3-4 on the menu, but I'd say it's probably closer to 3). We ordered all beef intestine for the 3 meats we were able to select, cause that's all we wanted to eat. I will say the beef intestine was marinated exceptionally well and was actually quite flavorful. However! I would NOT order any extra meats on the side like beef tongue or jowl. The beef tongue plate itself was $55 and the jowl was $37. I was in disbelief at the small amount given for the price charged (see photos with hand size comparison). It was definitely not worth ordering these on the side. As for the service, everyone was really nice and courteous, but I don't think they checked often enough to refill banchan or water though. And the restaurant was mostly empty when we were here, so that was odd. It's like they served the food and then mostly forgot about us ha! Overall, barring the exorbitant pricing, the intestine was really good if that's what you're coming for. Aside from our group of 7, my friend's family also coincidentally dined here on the same day/time as us, and they also mentioned the high pricing here was an issue. It's 4 stars for the intestine, but with everything else I mentioned, I'd rate it overall closer to 3.5 stars.

Service is amazing as always... this place is an OG intestine bbq place. It's sooo good! Side dishes are generous and yummy. Intestines are so dreamy.. I love their bean paste soup too. Can't wait to comeback !

In my personal experience of growing up in both LA and Seoul, and being well exposed to the Korean culinary scene in both places, I STRONGLY believe that this restaurant is top tier for authentic, high end Korean Barbecue in LA County. I've been a regular customer for about 8 years, and its safe to say that this restaurant is among the best you'll find in the south bay in terms of service, quality, and authenticity. What really sets this restaurant apart is the people. The people here are really friendly, and a lot of the workers here I've known for so long, ever since I was a kid. Additionally, the level of authenticity this restaurant holds is unmatched. It is oddly similar to a traditional Korean barbecue restaurant in South Korea, which you don't find often here in the US. With that being said, I highly recommend anyone who is willing to try a new restaurant to give Hak San a try. I strongly believe it won't disappoint.

Amazing grilled intestine. The staff are friendly, and this is definitely my favorite place. Highly recommend!!!!!!!

Excellent service and it was really cute inside! i like the brick wall interior and it was very clean. the gyeranjjim was perfectly soft and the corn cheese was nice and cheesy. the quality of the daechang was also really nice, i enjoyed how it wasn't gamey at all. the side dishes were made with crispy and fresh ingredients. i lowkey liked it more than songhak, i would be back!!

    Medium Intestine Combo

The intestines are so good and chewy. Side dishes are all fresh too. I love the music and service.

This is a restaurant that I come to consistently because it's good everytime. I always get large intestines because the texture is perfectly chewy. I highly recommend if you've never tried this kbbq place!

I've tried quite a few dishes here, but my favorites are the galbi, tofu soups, and dolsot bibimbap. The galbi is definitely on the pricier side for the portion, but the quality and flavor of the beef make it worth ordering every time. The dolsot bibimbap is a generous portion, especially if you're sharing another entrée, and the crispy rice at the bottom is done just right. My go-to tofu soup is the kimchi and beef with medium spice, which always hits the spot. Everything comes out piping hot and is served with a generous selection of banchan. The restaurant is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. If you're in the South Bay and craving authentic Korean food without making the drive to Koreatown, this is an easy recommendation.

We got here on a Friday mid-afternoon and they were able to accommodate our large party fairly quickly, which was nice. Service was okay- there were about 2 people taking our orders. I'm not quite sure if it's because our group was large but some items came out fairly late/they needed to be reminded of our orders because it wasn't coming out in a timely manner. We ordered everything from tofu soup, kalgooksoo, dumplings, beef, cold noodle soup, fish, and etc...The portions are generous but not all the food tasted good. Please don't get me wrong, it wasn't the worst but the flavor was lacking in some (such as the cold noodle and kalgooksoo dishes). Out of what was ordered, I would say the dumplings were the best. Parking is able in the plaza. Overall, an okay place but not somewhere I'd go out of my way to come back to.

The panko crumbs on the chicken was nice and light. It was perfectly fried and not too hard/over crispy. The meat was also juicy. Probably because it's Korean, in a Korean supermarket, where the competitors that folded shop were not always. Other stands also had a freshness issue - not much turnover as most visitors want Korean. Each time I shop at HMart, I see big soup bowls from Hansol. And I think, as a giant soup lover, I need to get me some. It always looks so good. Unfortunately, it does not taste as good as it looks. For example, the 2 rib special looks fantastic but the meat is tough to eat. The noodles are flat, need some flare. The rice bowls lack flavor. I see all these glowing reviews and know I'm swimming against the tide. Probably sacrilege for me to say that the Hmart prepared food tastes better than this restaurant... but I find this to be the case. The prices - not great. You pay for the convenience of being in a market. Counterintuitive as the ambience is what what you'd expect to pay for.
