    Soondae

Located inside the Hannam Chain Supermarket food court, Woori Zip is delicious. I really enjoyed the Kamja tang or pork neck soup. It was filled with so much meat and the broth was flavorful. The Soondae or blood sausage is perfectly cooked and soft and tender. Highly recommend this spot.

It's solid and fairly quick. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing bad about it but it doesn't blow me away either. Would definitely go back but I don't crave it. If you like yukgaejang, I would say there's better out there. Even Palsik has a richer and more flavorful broth. If you like galbi tang, Myung Ga in gardena has one of the better ones. If you just happen to be close by or doing some grocery shopping, this place is totally fine.

Came here with my wife and kid. On a Saturday night for dinner. Food is good. Prices are fair. Service is amazing. Only issue is i can not stop eat to take home left over.

    Tofu soup - combo
    N D.

This spot for "mom's cooking" opened in Torrance just yesterday (December 2025). While they were working through some service details they still killed it with flavors and hospitality. The tofu soup is some of the best I've ever had. The richness of the broth was so complex in flavors. We tried the combo (beef and seafood). We also had the "party noodles" which came in a light broth. The seaweed and chili on top was needed to add more flavor. Noodles were cooked well. Our items came out a bit delayed from each other but it was opening day and I'm sure they will work out service issues. The people working were so kind and brought our food to our table (this is order at counter in a small food court area). I feel like this will be a spot to return to at least a couple of times per month.

Gamjatang (spicy pork bone and potato soup, 감자탕)
    Julie N.

Ordered the gamjatang (spicy pork bone and potato soup, 감자탕) to go. It came out very quickly. I ordered, put my groceries in my car, sat for 2 minutes and the buzzer went off to pick it up. Overall, it was pretty tasty. They sprinkled a lot of perilla seeds (?) and topped it with perilla leaves so that scent came through both in terms of smell and taste. It has a kick but overall not that spicy, about 3/10. You get a LOT of pork bones. You have to look around the bones and cartilage for meat but the pieces you do find are fall off the bone tender. So delicious, but definitely have to look around carefully. Not a lot of potato, maybe three total, but honestly the meat and broth steal the show. Comes with a side of rice to scarf it down, and some refreshing banchan - kimchi, bean sprouts, pickled jalapeno/onion. Looking forward to trying more dishes from here, especially with it being conveniently located within Hannam Chain.

Gorgeous and flavorful makguksu -- a true foodie's delight. The presentation is on point with vibrant colors and beautifully arranged fresh vegetables, making the dish as enjoyable to look at as it is to eat. The sauce is well-balanced, bold yet clean, and pairs perfectly with the noodles. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. A huge plus is that you can stop by the market right after your meal -- super convenient and a great way to grab groceries or snacks on the way out. Delicious food, great vibes, and thoughtful service. Highly recommended.

The panko crumbs on the chicken was nice and light. It was perfectly fried and not too hard/over crispy. The meat was also juicy. My toddler ate 3 large pieces of it and kept complimenting how tasty it was. The kim chi fried rice had a great fried egg in it and had great flavor. Even the side of rice was delicious! It was moist and sticky without being overcooked. The bad: I didn't get to experience the food court dining in the grocery store. The interesting: The dishes came with a side salad with orange dressing, pickled yellow radish, and some citrus wedges. The dishes came with 3 pickled side dishes (including kim chi). and a soup.

Probably because it's Korean, in a Korean supermarket, where the competitors that folded shop were not always. Other stands also had a freshness issue - not much turnover as most visitors want Korean. Each time I shop at HMart, I see big soup bowls from Hansol. And I think, as a giant soup lover, I need to get me some. It always looks so good. Unfortunately, it does not taste as good as it looks. For example, the 2 rib special looks fantastic but the meat is tough to eat. The noodles are flat, need some flare. The rice bowls lack flavor. I see all these glowing reviews and know I'm swimming against the tide. Probably sacrilege for me to say that the Hmart prepared food tastes better than this restaurant... but I find this to be the case. The prices - not great. You pay for the convenience of being in a market. Counterintuitive as the ambience is what what you'd expect to pay for.

We got the medium spicy galbijjim to share. The meat was super tender and the dish was flavorful all around. Portions ended up being way bigger than we expected, so much that we had to take leftovers home. The owner ended up helping us repack everything since our attempt was pretty rough. He laughed at us but made sure nothing would leak in the bag before we left. It really has that mom and pop shop feel. Its pretty small and the tables are close together, but it doesnt feel cramped in a bad way, it just adds to the charm. Would definitely come back here again.

Wooga Sullungtang is officially one of my top places to grab some ox bone soup without having to deal with a longer, traffic-ridden drive to K-Town. The broth is silky smooth, rich, soothing, and honestly tastes wonderful on its own. But of course the salt, pepper, and plate of chopped green onions really amplify and improve the overall dish. Purple rice and banchan were delicious as well. I love how thick and crunchy their radish is and I loved pouring some of those juices into my broth about halfway through finishing. Kimchi, cucumber kimchi, and fish cake were so so addicting. Service was impressively quick. I came in while the Mexico vs. South Korea World Cup was broadcasted so the energy in the restaurant and servers was ELECTRIC. I loved how the vibe of this place oozed with support and a sense of community.

As for the food, you have to try the signature dish: gobchang (intestines). For a medium, you get to choose three of four types: abomasum (stomach), tripe, large intestines, and small intestines. Additionally, you get side dishes, a choice of a stew (kimchi or fermented soybean), corn cheese, steamed egg, and salad. They cook the intestines for you before bringing it out to your table, so that it says warm as you eat. They stir fry the intestines with potatoes, onions, garlic and mushrooms. Absolutely delicious. We also ordered the beef tartare, since they had posters of it around the restaurant. The beef tartare is definitely in the top 3 of the ones I've tried around OC and SD. The cuts are thicker than normal and the seasoning is just right. They don't include a lot of ingredients like other places do, but it just hits better. It's within a plaza, so there is plenty of parking around the restaurant. I definitely want to come back for the intestines and the service. A++!
