Solid Korean Chinese style noodle spot. The menu is simple but the food is good. Staff are friendly and fast, and the food comes out hot and fresh quickly. The jajangmyeon noodles were good, good chewy noodles and a sweet savory jajang sauce. The Mandu dumplings were soso. Kyodong sits inside of Hannam Chain and easily the most popular dining spot in the food court. They serve Korean noodle dishes like seafood Jjampong and Jajangmyeon. The Jjampong is probably the most popular dish and lots of people order it from the food court. The portion is pretty sizable and it's a fairly good deal. We ordered two of their signature Jjampongs; one spicy and one non-spicy and they were both flavorful and really hit the spot on the cold day. Our boys are usually hankering for the black bean noodle (jjajangmyin) from Kyodong. It is definitely the best in the South Bay (in my opinion). Service is always courteous and food comes out fast. It's in a Korean market food court so ambiance is clean and bustling. You know, just simple. I couldn't bring myself to give it more than 3 stars because our fave dish, their jjajangmyun is inconsistent. They went for fast and not fastidious (). The onions are all over the place in terms of how it's cut and cooked. And today the sauce was watery and sweet when it should be thick and more savory. But I definitely do recommend this place. Very dependable option for Korean Chinese food! My go-to is the classic combo of jjajangmyeon (black bean noodle) and tangsuyuk (fried sweet and sour pork). The jjajang sauce is rich and oily, as it should be. The noodles are always cooked to the optimal temperature. The fried batter on the pork has a good consistency and crunch, and makes for a satisfying dip into the sauce. Yes, it is best to dip, not pour, the sauce!!! Located inside the Hannam Chain supermarket, it is convenient for when you meant to go get groceries but decided you are too busy and want to eat in the food court instead. They also take phone orders--and give out accurate time estimates! There is no table service in the food court. Seating is shared among a couple other restaurants. If I have one minor complaint, the price is high (and getting higher) for what it is, but not a dealbreaker yet. read more

My new fave Chinese spot. Traditional flavors that everyone remembers and loves to eat.

Both the spicy and white seafood noodles were not as good as their Gardena location. I used to really love this place as the soup was rich and full of seafood flavor. Although they still use the oversized bowls at this location, the soup base is not as good. The spicy was not that spicy. The white has a good amount of pepper that has a kick. Not much seafood in the huge bowl. 1 or 2 shrimp, 4 or 5 mussels. That's it. Lots of onions in the bowl to give the soup flavor but lacked seafood depth. Despite the size of the bowl, the amount of food is not as excessive as you might think. The gentleman taking orders was extremely nice. Very friendly, polite. First of all, I couldn't see the name of this noodle restaurant located within the Hannam chain grocery store. I only found it through Yelp after we finished dining here. I couldn't help but see all the heaping orders of Jajang myun (pork n black bean noodles), spicy Jampong (seafood noodles) and Tansuyuk (sweet and sour fried pork), Chinese dishes popular with Koreans. I of course gravitated to this line and we ordered both noodle dishes and will try n the btansuyuk another time. We received our orders quickly. The flavor and quality of both noodle dishes were both excellent and I would dare say the best in the South Bay. (Since my go-to for these noodles at Moo's in Redondo closed during the Pandemic) Parking in the crowded lot. We will definitely be back! read more

This review is for service. The food is generally good. The OLD LADY and man in their 60-70s who sometimes work the front is consistently extremely rude and makes unnecessary sly remarks when you ask for extra napkins or bowls. Tired of their mean staring, rolling of eyes and remarks when I'm spending money there. It's unfortunate since the food is ok and the younger male man who usually works the front is great. By reading other Yelp reviews, this is an on going issue. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth and rather not spend my money there. I come here often to eat jjambbong, but every time I visit, it's unbearably hot inside. It's July, and it seems like the air conditioning is either off or not working properly. Eating a steaming hot dish in the middle of summer without any air conditioning is honestly quite uncomfortable. This is the third time I've felt this way, and I'm starting to reconsider whether I should continue coming here. I'm not sure if it's the restaurant itself that chooses not to turn on the AC, or if it's an issue with the market overall--but either way, it doesn't feel respectful to the customers. I've gotten takeaway and delivery from here at least a couple dozen times and they're always consistent and good. I always get the spicy seafood noodle with the fried pork combination, and each time even with delivery, the soup is piping hot and delicious. The noodles are bouncy and chewy each time. There is soooo much seafood and vegetables in the soup too with each bite. The soup is perfectly spicy and seasoned well. Hannam Chain Del Amo recently had their grand opening of their food court this past week and Kyodong Noodle was one of the eateries to open up. On opening day; there was quite a long line and we were the last ones who were able to place an order for the day at 7pm. Their menu consists of various noodle soups, noodles and fried pork, shrimp and dumplings. We ended up getting the JiaJangMyun (Black Bean Noodle) for $10.99 and WoolPong (White Seafood Noodle Soup) for $12.99. The items are made to order and we did have to wait for about 20 minutes. The items came out fresh and hot. My mom's WoolPong had lots of noodles and seafood. My JiaJangMyun was a bit more simpler. They gave plenty of the thick black bean sauce but the sauce itself did not have too much meat. Overall the dish was good in flavor and had a slight sweetness. Both dishes were accompanied with a side of radishes. Portion wise both were large and we ended up having to split it into two meals. For the price; I thought the dishes were good in value. I would have preferred a bit more meat in the black bean sauce but other than that; it was good! I noticed lots of folks getting their Kanpoong Chicken and it's something I would definitely want to try in the future. The owner/manager lady rolled her eyes when we asked for extra bowls and scissors to feed our kids noodles. Ordered the fried shrimp for $24 and it doesn't come with any rice? I asked about rice and she just said no and walked away. The nice people across the way at Katsu Nuna gave us a free bowl of rice when I tried to buy one from them. The seafood Jjampong was very flavorful and the spice level was perfect. It lacked seafood as I only had 2 shrimp, 5 mussels and 7 small pieces of squid (yes I counted). It's not a big deal. The reason I gave them 4 stars is the was the Tangsuyuk. It's supposed to be crispy but it was soggy as if they microwaved it instead of coming out of the fryer. I've been here several times in the last few months since it is so convenient to stop by when shopping at Hannam. I really like the jjamppong here, which is what they're known for. There isn't a ton of seafood, but the flavor of the broth is on point, and the noodles are chewy and bouncy. The jjajangmyun here is really good too. Sweet and savory, but not too salty. I prefer the tray jjajangmyun, since it comes out all mixed and the portion is slightly bigger, but either way, it is pretty tasty. The tangsuyuk and the shrimp fried rice are just ok. The tangsuyuk isn't very crunchy, kinda soggy, and the shrimp fried rice was mushy, not flaky. There is a ton of shrimp in the fried rice though, and I'd still order it again, but it could be a lot better. Overall, four stars. The food comes out much faster and they seemed to have worked out some of the kinks from when they first opened. Tip: you get a little bit of jjajangmyun sauce when you order the fried rice. You can get additional plain rice for $2 or so, and make a little bowl of jjajangmyun rice if you like. read more

Stopped by this place b4 shopping at the Korean market. Price is decent 13.99 for a large bowl of seafood noodle soup. I know the spicy one is more popular but I don't like spicy so I chose plain. I think the noodles would've been better if chewier, Altho I did enjoy the wide variety of seafood like mussels, squid, and shrimp. Lots of veggies in it too, yum the seafoody flavor.
