I have been here before for a family members private party, which was a lovely brunch -- food was good, service was great! My husband and I went for an early dinner, didn't have reservations, it was just us two. We were told an approx 10 min wait, which was fine. As we waited, we noticed a few empty booths for two in the bar - we asked to be seated, and they said of course. Very pleasant front end staff. Problem began with our phantom server, waited a while til someone approached us. No water, no menus, no server. Finally after almost 20 min, the server appeared, he seemed very frazzled. Spoke quickly. We asked for a menu, water, silverware & napkins. At almost 30 minutes, we finally ordered our entrees. I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo, and my husband ordered Arrabbiata Sauce w/spaghetti which came with a small side salad or soup. I chose soup, and my husband had a side salad. And we asked for some bread for the table. We waited another 20 minutes for our salad and soup, and I was given a tsp for the soup, all things considered, it was good. We saw the server twice while we were there, appeared very pre-occupied. The kitchen staff served our pasta meals. My husband said his was good, my Fettuccine Alfredo was also good, but very Al dente. Meantime, still waiting for bread .... All in all, it was a good meal, sometimes servers can make or break it! We've been here for happy hour a couple times. Probably one of the best happy hours in the area, great food, service is quick, and enjoy the ambiance. I'd recommend their pizza, always great and served piping hot. The other appetizers are good as well, and they serve two different types of bread for free. This review is going to be a little odd because it covers two visits. We liked our original so much, we went back a short time later. The first visit, my son and I stopped after his baseball game. I thought this was just a burger bar. I was wrong. We did have the burger, which was fantastic, and the shrimp scampi, also terrific. While we were there, we kept seeing pizza coming out that looked amazing. So a few weeks later, I took my son and wife for pizza. We got the SMOG pizza, and I have to tell you, this is my new favorite thin crust pizza. Crust has good snap. Ingredients were all fresh. Sauce was done just right. I can't wait to go back. They aesthetic of the restaurant is sharp. They bar area is a place you would want to watch a game. Music is good. Service the first time was a miss, but they were clearly understaffed. Fettuccine Alfredo craving satisfied. I wanted a basic fettuccine alfredo one evening, and all the other Italian places nearby had more complex and "fancier" dishes. Labriola came up when I actually typed "fettuccine alfredo". The place has a family-friendly vibe and a big bar area in the middle as you walk inside. This is a good place to watch sports, dine at the booths, and have private events as well. It reminds me of Moretti's. Our server is friendly, efficient, and helpful. We ordered the FETTUCCINE ALFREDO. It is just what I wanted. It is not heavy on the cream sauce and the portion is big. We also tried the EGGPLANT PARMESAN , as recommended by our server. Such a great stop! The restaurant has plenty of seating and a beautiful covered outdoor patio, so you can even enjoy it during the winter months. While the overall service was good, our server Joseph was truly fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and we ended up ordering almost everything he recommended. Overall a nice place with a good size bar, a few small sections make up the larger interior so the place is quite private and quiet. Their raisin bread service is die to for. I was a bit let down when I got a premade item of raised bread to go because it just wasn't as good as when you're there. My goodness is that stuff good. Pizza and happy hour were great! read more

Just came with my family and we had an amazing lunch! We started off with bruschetta, shrimp & some Arancini that the staff was nice enough to bring for us to try! Everything was delicious! Had dinner with some friends and everything was delicious. The bar area is pretty cozy, smaller booths so be aware if you're coming for happy hour. Our waitress was very attentive. We decided to do the happy hour menu and got: steak medallions, calamari, and arancini. The arancini was the star of the show. I didn't love the calamari, but it wasn't bad. This is a review for a special event gnocchi making class - I haven't actually eaten here since the pandemic. The class seemed a little pricey (including wine, welcome cocktail and dessert, class fee and tip), but when they said we'd taste a trio of gnocchi they meant we'd get a full sit-down dinner with an appetizer, salad and bread in addition. As they explained as we trouped into the private dining room, "This is a two hour event; you'll be making gnocchi for 20 minutes." The manager and chef greeted the class, and it looks like you could host a wedding dinner here. Pay attention when they tell you how to make the gnocchi; with 2 dozen people all chatting with their friends it's easy to miss as they keep it simple. You basically mix all the pre-measured ingredients, grab one of the circulating staff and ask what to do next, finish up, and then go in to dinner. After dinner you get a copy of the recipe, which you take home with your gnocchi (30 pieces, maybe a small serving) and any leftovers. Staff was helpful and solicitous. This was lovely and would be a fun group event. Don't arrive early unless you want to hang out at the host station or the bar. Lots of parking; garage available. read more

I'm honestly shocked at how disappointing this experience was. I used to come here regularly before the Oakbrook location moved, but after this visit, I won't be back. I ordered a salad that cost $15 and added salmon for an extra $11, bringing the total to around $30. What I got was completely unacceptable for that price. The piece of salmon was tiny, barely enough to justify the charge, and the overall portion and quality of the salad just didn't match the cost at all. For $30, I expect a satisfying, well-balanced meal. Instead, this felt overpriced, underwhelming, and honestly just not good. It's frustrating to see a place I used to enjoy go so downhill. This was my first visit since they changed location. I absolutely love the expansion and comfortable seating. This vibe was definitely something the old location was missing. When I lived nearby, I visited Labriola religiously since its opening. I am always thrilled to stop there when in the area. Now, if not more than anything, I feel like the atmosphere matched the high quality of food much better than the "cafe style" environment at the old location. We stopped in for a happy hour after work one day - a group of five of us scoured the menu with excitement before our arrival. We all had our drinks and food items picked out before we were seated, but quickly realized the happy hour menu online didn't match. After a bit of confusion we realized each location has a different happy hour and the website was a bit confusing as to which was which. This was a minor inconvenience but the manager still came over willing to problem solve. Lesson learned - double check which location menu you're looking at. The food is the star of the show at Labriola. It it nearly impossible for me to decide what to eat upon each visit. It seems funny to me that they advertise as a pizza restaurant considering I have never had there pizza! There are so many delicious things on this menu it just never even crossed my mind. Some honorable mentions include the Waldorf salad, Richie Burger and Genovese Gnocchi. However, my all time favorite meal at Labriola is the Filet sliders with fries. They are oh so perfect and since Labriola opened in 2008 I have not eaten ones remotely comparable. SO GOOD. I do have to say that this location gives Labriola a much more "upscale" first appearance which kinda makes it feel like any other Oak brook restaurant even though it's not. I understand that may sound a bit contradictory and although I like the upgrade, I miss the small intimate setting with the constant bustle mimicking a Paris bistro. It may come off fancy upon first impression, but I truly believe Labriola is more wholesome and food dedicated than it's compeition. Our server could have used a bit of pep in her step, she was really a drag so I took off one star. Welcomed with a gen z death stare, and then acted as if we were bothering her the whole time. Checked in when we didn't need anything and would disappear for 10-15 minutes when we did need something. I had a togo order and asked for a side a bread - after another 15 minute increment went by, I asked another server and gave him part of her tip. The whole situation gave...out smoking my vape because I only have two tables and want to be cut.....Hopefully, with some simple coaching from managers this won't be the same experience next visit. read more

This was my first time here. I wanted to come during the summer for Jazz on the Water but I wasn't able to make it. I decided to give the a try for a birthday lunch. We arrived during happy hour so we reviewed and ordered a few things from that menu. The wine list was not clear of what was included and what wasn't. Our server was not helpful in explaining that either. I ended up ordering something I thought was on the $7 happy our selection but it was full price. She was also not engaging as far as explaining the menu and what the specials were. She didn't even ask if we wanted dessert or show us the menu! The food was decent, our favorite was the pizza. I'd order that as a carry out in the future. Sadly there was no hype for our Birthday. Why ask what the diner is coming in for if there's nothing special that will be done?! I know it's not mandatory but a slice of cake or free appetizers would have been nice. I still think I will return next Summer for the Live Music but anything before that will most likely be a carry out pizza order. read more

We went for our Anniversary. They started us off with a complementary glass of champagne. We ordered a small deep dish, the Russo Sausage. It was delicious and their homemade sausage is as good as I have ever had. My wife had the eggplant parmesan and it's a winner. We also ordered the sausage and peppers appetizer, very good! Their crostini dipped in that broth!!! Our server was Kevin and he was awesome. He took care of us and even brought us complimentary carrot cake for dessert. It was amazing also, by the way. I went here with a friend who had said it was good. I went into this experience with high hopes. We were sat in the back corner of the restaurant which we thought was odd at first but did not think much of it. We then proceeded to wait at least 15 min before someone even came and greeted us. Then they came and asked us for drinks about 5 minutes later. It was not too busy but our server had around 4 tables in the section. We noticed the server was checking in on all the other tables except ours. I received the wrong drink after pointing to the one I wanted and receiving confirmation from our server. I was then served a non alcoholic mock tail and did not realize until I looked at my bill. Granted, he did not come back for a while to even give me the chance to ask. Nor did we get any refills or a chance to ask for another drink. The appetizer came quick and was good. Food came shortly after brought by the food runners. The gnocchi special of the day was delicious but it was a different store with the filet sliders. My friend usually goes there for the sliders but unfortunately two of the sliders were inedible. Each filet was a penny sized bit of meat covered in chewy fat. The buns were also burnt to a crispy. She claims it has never been like that in the past. I was curious as to if the meat was intentionally on the fatty side so I tried to catch my waiter to ask. He was again back and forth to his other tables while ignoring us. And i finally said excuse me and told him the situation asking if it's supposed to be like that so we know not to order next time. He then in an annoyed attitude picked up the plate and said "okay i'll show the manager" After 15 min no one came to talk to us or update us. Our server was no where to be seen. Then came back and gave us our check with a surprised look that the dish was comped. No explanation or apology from the manager either. After paying I asked to speak to the manager and the only thing she said was that she got other complaints of that same thing and will look into it with their supplier. This was understandable but the way we were treated tonight was not. We figured we weren't being provided the same service as everyone else because we were the youngest table compared to the older people and families. I know there is a stigma around younger people not tipping well and in return not having to give proper service. Nonetheless, I always give people the benefit of the doubt and thought the server could be having a bad day and still tipped over 20% as a courtesy although i believe in tipping based on customer service. The garlic knots are no joke! Loved them. The ambiance is on point. The host was fantastic, but the service was what left us needing more. We ordered a zombie dust and got a 312, even after asking us twice for clarification. The thin crust was missing something, i heated it up at home and added oregano but it was still bland to me. It looked way better than it was. My partner ended up with some stomach issues the rest of the day. Add to that one of those annoying "service charges" when they're already nickel and diming on the "what used to be included" extras on things? We won't be back. We could not have even let the server know about it because they hardly came by during the entire visit. Maybe an off day? Idk but we won't return to find out. read more

The same great Richie Burger, just like the old Labriola used to have. Fresh cut French fries dusted with fanciful salt flakes add just the right touch of flavor. I understand wanting to combine the old Labriola and LaBarra locations into one, keeping the large private/party room and great patio. However tbh, as your typical family on-the-go, we just don't go to sit down full service restaurants so much as fast casual which we'd rather prefer. So I get to enjoy a Ritchie Burger about 1/5 of the amount of times that I used to. read more

We started with a tantalizing arugula salad featuring pickled fennel, hazelnuts, and a lemon vinaigrette so good it could be sipped on its own. For the main course, we ordered the thin-crust Danny's Special pizza, loaded with house-made sausage, onions, and bell peppers--delizioso! To top it all off, we indulged in a warm chocolate chip cookie baked in a cast iron skillet, crowned with vanilla gelato, chocolate sauce, and pecans.
