Aurelio's pizza (thin crust and GF) is absolutely delicious and the service at this location has exceeded my expectations on more than one occasion. In the first, we unknowingly called to place a takeout order approximately 15 minutes "before" there post Covid closing time (Online said it was open an hour later) and the person who answered allowed us to proceed even though we were 20 minutes away. The order was correct, piping hot and we didn't feel rushed even though it was a few minutes after their close time. During the second visit, we placed a carry out order online and when we arrive to pick up the order we were greeted with the same warm and welcoming demeanor we experienced before. The only caveat about this location is that there isn't space for a family or group to dine in. There's a small amount of counter space along the entry window for those waiting or if someone stopped in and preferred to eat in their space. Again. It isn't ideal space for dining in but can work in a pinch. Btw, the wings are tasty too! read more

The pizza was terrible! Did a child make this? Sauce was smeared everywhere before toppings applied. I've never seen this much and we frequent a different location. One of Chicago's best pizzas. Aurelio's has an amazing fiesta size, sauce is different than most and in a good way. This location we get carry out, and the staff is always on top of it. The store is always neat and clean and easy to access. I highly recommend, especially if you're looking for carry out. read more

Very friendly phone service. I asked if they had delivery drivers as we had issues in the past. She confirmed they were fully staffed and after taking my order advised what time to expect the pizzas. I haven't been to an Aurelios in literally forever, at least 15 years since they moved from their large restaurant in Villa Park. But I did remember that I used to enjoy their pizza growing up so figured I would try it again and see if it still was relevant to my life. This location is a small takeout store across from the area they used to occupy. I called before opening and within 1/2 hour it was ready. It's definitely the most expensive of all the pizza places, I paid $43 for a 1 topping pizza and a Chicken Parmesan. Without a doubt, the value for the chicken Parmesan was definitely not there, sadly only one small dried up breaded breast. But the pizza was still very good. So I still will come back on days they have "pizza special" prices but will skip the other entrees. read more

WOW!!! So good! After we ate (way too much) my husband said "I think I'm having an out of body experience- and by that I mean I can see my body get up to get more pizza." We just ordered $92 worth of food that was worthless! Stuffed pizza was flat and dough was so raw and the sauce was smeared all over the cover of the box because they did not put the little mini plastic risers on top to keep it from smashing against the cover. The fries were not cooked and were really raw! Meatball sandwich and sausage sandwich were loaded with way too crunchy sweet peppers. Bosco's barely has anything in them, even when you tried to look for the cheese, you could not see it, so it was more like a bread stick! Garlic butter for the Bosco tasted just like mayo salad dressing! The thin pizza was average. Don't waste your money! We are very disappointed and the food is in the garbage! These are franchise restaurants and I go out of my way to visit. This location because always on time. Get my joe sent me points and sometimes doubled. Staff is friendly. The addison location is good as well. I stay away from the wheaton location just because of the staff. They are more interested at slinging drinks and their delivery drivers like to park illegally. read more

I loved this place growing up but not really a fan anymore. Found a smal hair deep in the cheese in my pizza and called the manager at the store who was difficult. They were able to replace the pizza but once delivered, we noticed that the pizza didn't have the middle holding thing on there so the pizza was totally distorted. So, the Aurelio's that used to be in the strip mall in Oak Brook Terrace closed down and they opened this one accross the street. It's only take out, but I think they do have a few tables in there. NOT a sit down restaurant though. I find Aurelio's pizza very heavy, well the crust anyways. I've gotten it on quite a few different occasions. The sauce is good and so are the ingredients, but I always have stomach problems after. I spent $34 on a large thin crust, pepperoni and hot giardeneira. I would rather eat Jack's frozen pizza over the pizza I got today from Aurelio's. I ate 6-7 pieces of the small pizza, hoping the first slices were not representative of the entire pizza....but sadly, it was all terrible. The crust was undercooked and tasteless, while the sauce and pepperoni was brutal. My pregnant wife looked at it and decided to skip lunch. This has to be one of the worst pizza places that I have eaten at. We were offered FREE pizza for blood donations at Life Source, so we thought why not try it. The place was very small 3 tables and the staff not very helpful. Then we tried the pizza, it was so bad I could not eat any more than 1-2 bite(s). The sauce had little favor and the sauage was some unknown meat, the cheese was okay and the crust to doughy. I have found the secret in obtaining a good Aurelios pizza. Seriously. Here is the secret: go at noon for just a slice or two on weekdays only. They routinely serve veggie, pepperoni, and sausage pizza slices with a beverage. The kicker is this: you are pretty much guaranteed a truly hot, truly fresh, couple of slices (during the week) because of high turn over. I do think their gravy is decent; but there's always disappointment with a whole pizza. I also enjoy the kick of their red pepper seasoning. The daily single slice offerings, however, are not gluten free. For some reason, whole pizza's are either overcooked, undercooked, or heavy on the grease. For a brand that's been around for awhile, they should sit around (preferably at lunch time) and figure out a way to improve. read more

I can't speak for all of the locations, but ever since the Oak Brook Terrace location moved across the street to the smaller carryout spot, the quality continues to go down, and the price keeps going up. Last night I ordered a large thick crust pizza. At $35 delivered, the fact that the crust was comparable to a grocery store take home pizza, the cheese was sparse and the more expensive of the two ingredients was nearly impossible to find, we felt disappointed. For $35, there are many better options in the area. Sorry to say that Aurelio's has lost us as a customer. read more

I haven't had pizza from Aurelio's since I was a kid and when I mentioned that I was going to be getting pizza for dinner tonight, it was recommended by one of my coworkers so I figured I'd give it a shot. I used the online ordering, which is something I really like having the option of. Placing the order went smoothly and I got a confirmation email but not a call so I called, like the email said to, just to be sure that the order went through. It had so we waited patiently for our order to arrive. The driver got here in just about an hour, which the site indicates is normal for them at busy times. As for the actual food, I rather liked the pizza. The crust was thicker and maybe a bit spongier than I am used to but I liked it. The cheese was abundant and had a bit of crispiness to it - like it was on the way to getting burned if it had been left in the oven for three minutes longer. There were plenty of toppings and the sausage and pepperoni were quite tasty. The most important thing to me is the saltiness level when it comes to pizza and this fit the bill quite nicely. The last few places we've ordered from have been rather bland so I was glad that this pizza was just right. I didn't get much from the sauce but it was maybe on the sweeter side. I guess my only complaint is the price. With tip, we paid $34 for a medium pizza with half pepperoni and sausage and half mushroom and onion, and that is a lot more than we pay for the same thing from other places. I would probably do carry out if we were to crazy Aurelio's in the future so I could avoid the $3 delivery charge that is applied to the order but it seems like it's a bit pricier in general - noting the carry-out menu shows a single serve side salad for $5.95, which is still a bit more than other places. Also, and at this point, it's not really an issue, but they seem to have problems with their card processing on the online orders so make sure you don't forgot how you paid and pay cash when you've also got a charge pending on your card. The driver, if you have delivery, should have a card signature slip for you to sign. In general, tasty and fits the pizza bill nicely but a bit on the expensive side. read more

So so pleased with this location. I grew up going here and have such good memories attached to eating Aurelio's Pizza. I moved back to VP in 2019, but hadn't ordered from Aurelio's until tonight. So glad I did. Having a wheat/gluten allergy I wasn't sure if they had gluten free pizza, but they do and it's DELICIOUS. Seriously one of the best gluten free crusts I've had, especially compared to a lot of the other places in the area who have pancake thin cardboard like crusts. Our first salad had croutons on it accidentally, but when I called to let them know, they were so apologetic and had someone deliver out a new salad to us no charge. Not only was the pizza as good as we remembered, the owner served it up and was engaging, kind, and understanding when it came to our days' events. Good old Aurelio's! We order from this location frequently at work. Just ordered yesterday and they got a delicious 18 inch pizza to us in under 45 minutes. Aurelio's is great pizza if you like sweet sauce. It's not overly sweet- it's more like a hint of sweetness. I love it, but my family HATES it. It's never anything we order at home, but it is a secret craving that I partake in on occasion! A more specific comment about the company rather than this specific location is that all of the Aurelio's are very involved in the communities they are located in. They are at almost every school function I've attended throughout the western suburbs, festivals and fairs, and they even donated a pizza to my classroom in April when we were doing a pizza unit. Actually, I have experienced better as the 2-star rating says here, "Meh. I've experienced better" as I write. I have been here twice, for a gluten free veggie pizza. Each time they have charged me different for the SAME pizza and SAME size. I don't know what is their real price because they are so discreet about it. They always confuse their customers with hidden costs and such. The taste is average. I found it way too soft and doughy (even though it was gluten free). It was more like a pizza on a giant slice of bread (since their gluten free pizzas are square shaped). I would not be going back again unless I have NOWHERE to go and I'm craving a pizza. read more
