Been here numerous times and it's time for a review. I've had different menu items which were fine, but this is my go to spot when I'm craving a Gyros sandwich. Hands down, best Gyros in the area (especially at that overpriced place down the street.) Gyros is always loaded with meat. Tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, and onions accompany. Great tasting and more than I finish. I always get the mushrooms with it. These have always been cooked perfectly too. Strange to say, but this place has fallen into my wife's and I breakfast rotation for weekends. A varied menu running from eggs/omelets to cheeseburgers which you can get all hours of the day. I stopped there for the first time tues evening about 4pm and just ordered a chicken sandwich! I did not expect first of all such an enormous size sandwich which is not common, the freshness of the bun along with the tomatoe and lettuce etc etc to the perfection of the way the chicken was cooked is unbelievable. What you get here in quality for the money puts portillo's to shame! Even the pleasant girl at the window with her smile left an impression. I went in there late afternoon, not expecting great food because the place was empty at the time, and only 1 car in the parking lot. Ordered a burger, which was on the expensive side. Again, figured it wouldn't be too good but I really didn't want to try to hunt down a bk or something. However, it was delicious. The burger was cooked great and absolutely worth the price I paid. I'll be going there more often and trying their other food. Also gotta say, the place was really clean, and the staff were really nice. I'm really surprised they weren't a lot busier but I guess they are more of a lunch place. I gotta ding the place though because the sandwich was supposed to be 2 patties, but the bottom patty was only a half patty. I've had a phenomenal experience over the past three months since moving to Addison. The food is consistently great and always served hot. The restaurant exudes oldies aesthetic vibes throughout. The last time I was here when it was Billy Boys, they have done an excellent job remodeling the dinning area and the bathrooms. I started with a bowl of cream of broccoli soup which was very good. I was happy to find out that when it was changed over to new owners and after the remodel that the menu stayed the same and even before the pandemic was over Nd the sit down restaurant wasn't opened yet I would order my food thur the drive-thru because I believe in small businesses BUT WHEN I ABLE TO GO INSIDE THE PRICE WERE MORE BUT THAT WAS EVERYWHERE BUT THE PORTIONS WERE SMALLER. My husband & I recently tried Johnny B's after being recommended a few times. We ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger, Pizza Puff, Cheese Fries and Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. OMG -- so delicious! I love their crinkle cut fries. They were crispy and had the right amount of salt. The burger was put together so well -- perfect meat to cheese ratio. My husband said his Philly Cheesesteak was the best he's had (in IL). We really liked the Pizza Puff too -- practically melts in your mouth! We love Johnny B's so much, we went back a few days later. My husband got the regular Cheeseburger and I tried their Cheesy Beef. Of course, the cheeseburger did not disappoint. However, I was not impressed with their beef. The beef seemed a little dry and had a weird aftertaste. I guess I've been spoiled with Portillo's beef for so many years. read more

Most important is food is very similar to previous owners "Billy's" , If you liked Billy's you like this. Similar menu with a few new items. Also the food quality seems better. The broasted chicken is very much like the old owners. The only thing I can say slightly negative is that their prices are slightly higher. This is probably due to better quality items . Tried this place for the first time tonight. Very inviting and clean restaurant. Staff were super friendly and seemed to happy working there. Ordered 2 chicken gyros, patty melt, cheese fries, Italian Broccoli soup, and an order of rice. Cheese fries and patty melt were really good. The soup and rice were downright AMAZING! And then there is the chicken gyros... ugh. They do such a good job making some of the best homemade honey mustard you will ever have, but it's atop probably the worst food service product I've ever eaten. I threw it away. Wouldn't even give it to my dog. I just wound up eating the pita and veggies with the honey mustard. Please either buy the real cone of chicken gyros or just take this off your menu. You guys did too good of a job with the rest of your menu to serve something so horrid. Really wanted to give 5 stars, but deducted one for the chicken gyros. read more

The worst I've ever had. In addition, beef sandwhiches have far less meat on them as compared to previous owner. Salads to go are put in much smaller containers then before. New owners are really cutting back on quantity with increase of prices. Been a long time customer of when it was Billys and then Johnnys. My husband and I just moved into DuPage county, let us just says it's difficult to find good food joint, and not to mention variety of foods joints, compared to the city. We had a taste for gyros when we found Johnny B's. So we tried them out. We ordered our gyros with a side of Greek Potatoes, and SWEET GOD! They were delicious! On our 2nd visit, we ordered the items you see under our review, which were Italian beef and double bacon cheese burger. And again, no disappointment whatsoever, they were amazing. Not only have the food items from their menu have been delicious for us, their staff is super friendly and professional, and let me also make you aware that the place is super clean, including the washrooms (HUGE PLUS of course). The place seems to be following COVID19 regulations. We have been able to dine in our past two visits, but of course the offer DRIVE THRU for those interested. We look forward in to trying more food items from their menu. But for now we wanted to express our experience with Johnny B's. Yeah not good, undercooked and cold and I'm not sure what that red glop they serve in little cups is but they told me it was ketchup, but wow was it disgusting. I asked for salt for the fries, they could not find... Also, bring your own silverware because it will not be provided when served...
