Not a bad place for a quick Indian lunch. I got gobi 65 as an appetizer. It was very crunchy and tasted like a 65 meal, not the soggy manchurian meal that other Indian places serve. I got the sajna combo briyani which came with chicken shrimp and lamb. Lamb was my favorite of them all. Next time I would just get lamb briyani instead so i can have more of the lamb. Their masala chai was mid. 3/5 for tea but still not bad if you want to grab a quick tea bite. Service was pretty good. Not crowded when we went. Pretty good vibes! read more

What an amazing first experience eating Indian food! We're so glad we got to share it at Sajna. Every dish tasted homemade, bursting with flavor, and was served with such genuine kindness. The owner was extra nice to us giving recommendations and coming in to see how we liked the food. She even comped our dessert for being first timers to the cuisine. We started with the crispy fried cauliflower and the delicious coconut soup, both were incredible. For our main, we enjoyed the chicken tikka masala with basmati rice, paired with warm cheese and garlic naan that were absolutely perfect for soaking up every last bite of the sauce. To finish, we treated ourselves to two traditional desserts: the rasmalai and the gulab jamun. They were the perfect warm and cold balance. The trick is to mix both and eat it. Omg! This place is phenomenal. The service is speedy and warm and the ambiance and music is very lively. The food is the show stopper though. We had the special biryani, the gobi 65 and a couple drinks and everything was a 10 out of 10. They let you pick your spice level out of 10, we love spice and got 6 and 7 and it was perfect. We decided to give Sanja a try while in the neighborhood. We were greeted warmly upon entering. Once opening the menus, we knew we had the difficult task of choosing what to order. There was page after page of wonderful choices ranging from tandooris, basmati, curries, fish, chicken, lamb, goat and more. Sajna's extensive menu offers something for everyone. We started with vegetable samosas which were served with chutneys. The samosa were packed with filling and were crispy and delicious. Next up were the mains which were a lamb curry and chicken korma with naan. Each was as delicious as the next. Very good Indian food in the area. Service was solid too. We ordered samosas to share, along with chicken tikka masala and goat biryani. Also shared garlic naan of course! We were asked our spice level on 1-10, and went with 6. Everything was delicious, but I could have probably went with a 7/8 for spice level. Biryani doesn't automatically come with yogurt sauce as most restaurants so we requested a side. The goat pieces were legit and bone in - yum. Service was a slow start I had to clear my several times to get the person at the front desk to stop looking at their phone playing a game once we receeded service was pretty darn attentive. Water's full wine bottle recommendations. Food was pretty good My husband who is a huge Indian food fan said the goat vindaloo at a high spice level wasn't exactly spicy It was a little more sweet. I had the butter chicken I found it's pretty darn good The sauce alone was delicious I think if they just took the sugar Factor down a bit it would be even better If you're in Hollywood looking for Indian it's not a bad choice read more

I ordered Uber eats cuz I'm staying in a hotel so I'm not sure about the ambiance or the service. But the chicken samosa was not bad. I love the green sauce. I came here what it's called. It had lots of good flavor. I love that that came with it. Just not much of the sauce came with the appetizer. Definitely could have used more. The garlic man was huge. Very tasty! Great big pieces of lots of leftover Nan bread. That was fantastic. The chicken tikka masala wasn't super great on the flavor. It was pretty good but there was more of a soupy type than a regular The regular thicker style masala that I've had elsewhere. Not bad. Was pretty good food. Ordered the garlic and butter naan(slightly thinner but bigger version) , to accompany with navratan (mixed veg) curry / kurma and salt lassi. Also ordered egg fried rice and asked to make it spicy (can make it mild too) - perhaps the hot climate craved some higher spice level ‍. Do yourself a favor and have some of Sajna's delicious cuisine. With an expanded menu of apps and entrees you get a large selection of yummy items. The menu has your traditional curries along variations of dosas, apps and even fried rice! Isn't that interesting? I was greeted by a patient and excited server who answered all my questions and gave me all the time I needed I had the king prawn, and that was amazing! If you're reading this because you're wondering if you should check this restaurant out, YOU SHOULD. I had the pleasure of having Sajna for the first time (and my first time ever trying Indian Cuisine) and it did not disappoint! Went on a Friday night and they had a ton of seating available right away (which is crazy to me.. because with the food and service I experienced here, I don't understand how it wasn't packed!!) Unlike most restaurants in downtown Hollywood, Sajna had a quiet, little romantic vibe to it with an ample amount of lighting (had to note that because I got tired of reading menus in the dark lol) - great for a lowkey date night &/or a family dinner. The person I was with thinks they could jazz it up a little bit, but I thought it was quite charming in every single way :) Him & his family are regulars here and the way he was greeted by everyone put a smile on my face. They asked about him and his parents, their business, etc and that just goes to show that their customers are more than just a transactional exchange to them and I always enjoy seeing that; warms my little heart. They also welcomed me kindly and were excited for me to try Indian food which in turn had me even mooore excited to try! As far as the food.. as a first timer of Indian Cuisine, I don't have anything to compare them to, but I will say.. I don't know how any other place can compare to them!! The food was soooo good. We got the popular Chicken Tikka Masala, of course and we also got the Cheesy Garlic Naan and the Mango Lassi. I don't really care for chicken dishes... but I LOVE me a saucy chicken and the spices in the sauce and the tenderness of the chicken were perfect! We added some honey to it for a touch of sweetness - did it need it? No, but it did elevate the flavor by a ton and if you like your food on the sweeter side, definitely ask for some! The Cheesy Garlic Naan was mmm *chef's kiss* and when dipped into the sauce??? **double chef's kiss**. The rice was fluffy and on point... and don't even get me started on the Mango Lassi - I really can't believe I've never had that before; I can drink a whole pitcher of it! Of their tikka masala sauce too!! I am now a fan of Indian food, but I unfortunately, live in San Diego and is now on a mission to find an Indian restaurant with the same quality of food and care from staff (which I know will be such a hard mission to complete).. but you know what? Whenever I am craving it, Florida is just a flight away - forget the boy, I will be back soon just to eat at Sajna! It's that good. 10/10 recommend. Chicken tikka masala is 9/10. Onion bhajiya is really good just don't get why they don't include tamarind sauce?? Just eating it dry is a weird. Cauliflower app- gobi Manchurian is 10/10 so goooood!! Still thinking about my girls dinner the other night in downtown Hollywood. I've ordered Sajna before when I was living closer, so I knew they were good, but going in person always is the real test. Sajna is easily top 3 Indian restaurants in Broward. Their staff is friendly, the area is perfect for starting the night there, and their food is excellent. I've never had butter lamb and it was as tender as it was delicious. I can't wait to go back. My friend got the mango chutney chicken. It was amazing too! As a pescatarian, I was extremely impressed at how many different seafood dishes they offered. I wanted to try them all! I love this place so today I dropped in on whim. It's such a mom & pop spot, very clean and inviting. I was greeted by Vishal (?) who was very sweet and polite. I ordered veggie samosas to start which were incredible; the perfect amount of spice. Typically I get chicken tikka or chickpea masala but I wanted something different. I couldn't decide on a lamb dish so I asked for a recommendation and in true Elite fashion, he offered to make me a dish that wasn't on the menu :). While waiting, he also brought me a mango yogurt-like milkshake which was so delicious! The entree itself was just what I was looking for - tender meat, medium spice (if you like spice like I do, aim for 8-10 spice level. This dish was about a 7 on the spice meter) and very flavorful. Served with basmati rice and fresh garlic naan. While still a good portion, I had a lot of naan and some lamb leftover. Overall this visit satisfied my craving and is my favorite spot for authentic Indian cuisine. read more

We were warmly greeted by Vishal, the manager, who made sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. He was attentive and friendly. We ordered the gobi Manchurian as an appetizer, it was pretty good and with it being slightly tangy which I personally like. For our mains, we got the butter chicken and navratna korma, both of which were exceptional. Flavors were different on both curries. I've been on an Indian food kick lately and my friends advised that this was one of their favorite Indian restaurants in Florida. So we ended up coming here before seeing a Magic Show at the Art Walk. I've been told that really good, authentic Indian restaurants usually has pretty slow service, so I already went in with certain expectations. To our surprise, they exceeded those expectations. The food came out quick, fresh, and absolutely mind blowing. It is certainly not a big place by any means, but what they lack in space they make up for in big flavor and good service. On this particular day, the service was not slow, despite many tables being seated, and many takeout orders going out the door. And the owner came over to our table many times to check on us throughout our meal. I ate at this restaurant about a month ago so unfortunately I can't remember solid details about the price or what we ordered exactly, but I remember it being priced incredibly well, especially for the quality. We got lamb biryani which was just packed with flavor, not at all dry and a ton of lamb meat. We also got the chicken saag. Any other time I've tried paneer, it has been bland and just tasted like spinach. Not at this restaurant. There was so much more flavor that complimented the spinach so well. Also comes with a really nice heaping bowl of rice. We also got the bullet, cheese, and garlic naan. Huge crispy pieces with great flavor. We also got a chickpea dish as an appetizer, though unfortunately I can't remember the specificities. But I think it's safe to say that you can get anything here and you will not at all be disappointed. It wasn't bad but it didn't really bowl me over either. I like the menu, it's rather expansive and they have a section not only for vegetarians but vegans as well, which seems to be rather rare in Indian restaurants. Prices were reasonable and service was efficient. Spice levels were off with a friend, but were corrected. I found it a touch strange to serve meat dishes without a knife. The restaurant is basic but will do, sit next to the windows if possible. Good sized portions. I would like to see the air conditioning do a better job here. This seems to be the only Indian option in downtown Hollywood at the moment now that Pepper's seems to be permanently closed. Parking here is street only or parking garage and on high traffic days it's just best to go to a garage. read more

The entire down town parking area is under construction so it's not very pretty . My friend suggested celebrating both our birthdays at this restaurant . This was our first time for both of us . Apparently there is a lunch menu Monday thru Thursday but today was Friday so it was full price . The prices are 14.99 and up not sure if lunch menu is better . This was my second time here and the food did not disappoint. Me and my friend got a glass of wine, it was so affordable. Then we both got naan bread, I got garlic and she got cheese naan. I loved her naan more than mine so when the chef came out to personally check on us I asked him to make me a cheese naan to go. The service was excellent! I got chicken tikka masala and it was so yummy, my friend got lamb and her dish was so delicious I dipped my naan in her sauce!!
